Morning ladies,
Kwik - Best of luck with the egg collection today. A friend of mine is also having egg collection today. Must be the day for it
Mmmm, lamb sharwma. I am drooling just thinking about it. I'm constantly feeling hungry at the moment and eating whatever my body is telling me it fancies. Means I'm not doing as well on the eating all the things the books say I should but I figure whatever goes in and stays in is good! (nothing's come out yet...). Appointment wise, I have one with the clinic on 11 March (this is a scan any time between day 35 and 45 after turkey basting - I think to check if there's heartbeat, how many there are, and if the location is OK - i.e. not in a tube). Then GP appt on 15 March to make sure I get my name down on the list for the hospital I want and not the other one which is actually closer but I don't want to go there! (yes, I'm being high maintenance with that demand LOL). I did read in one of my books if you can get to/past 8 weeks and they've found a heartbeat then the chances of miscarriage decrease to about 1 or 2 in 100. Crossing fingers... Re your question to Shoes, we only got the choice of 2 donors (they were the 2 best matched to us by the clinic), which made it pretty easy to pick. Although either would have been fine, we found it an easy choice. If we hadn't liked either of those we could have asked for more to choose from but they would have been further away from our preferred hair/skin/eye etc colour.
Caution - Any news re appointment?
Shoes - I am sure the wait is normal, but I am just impatient!
Ooh, get you with your double metaphor! Ha ha ha. Any sign of that LH surge yet? I presume you'll be jetting back off to Copenhagen as soon as you get it?
Pickle, how are you doing sweet? I hope you are starting to feel some recovery now. I really feel for you. Try and keep strong sweetie pea. Oh, but don't worry about crying at work. It's totally understood.
Ooh, bras! I'd not really thought too much about that but should probably. In my head Kwik, I also thought it was supposed to be no to underwire. But I've not read that in any of the books yet so I'm sticking with mine (I don't think I currently own any that don't have underwire)! I guess at some point I probably should go buy some. The only thing the book I checked this morning said was make sure you buy them in the correct size as you grow and don't try to scrimp on this as it will help to prevent sagging. So I'm in! he he he. I'm still trying to work out if mine have changed at all. They do feel a bit different when I take off my bra (maybe a little tingly, like pre-AF would be, I wouldn't go as far as to say sore), but only very briefly. That said I am verging on having 2nd boob syndrome with this bra I have on today - must be slightly smaller than those I've been wearing for the rest of the week so maybe I should go see if the next cup size up is required... Kwik - the white deodorant marks, I get those too (although mostly on t-shirts and not bras). I looked up online a while ago and saw suggested baby wipes to wipe it off, which seems to help a bit. I also saw white vinegar and bio washing powder soak over night but I'm convinced I'd smell like a chip shop after that so I've not given it a go!). I also use a Nivea "invisible" roll on deodorant (they do it in 2 flavours) which seems to have helped a lot. I think it says no more white marks or something on the bottle.
Right, I think I'll go phone my GP now, see if I can get my appointment bumped to a little earlier. Yes, I'm impatient.
