It's fertility friendly lube, flip - especially handy if you're on clomid as it can, err, dry up cm. as merkin said, just use half the amount suggested!

My dp hates it for some reason. Wish I'd kept it secret!

Bunnygirlie · 01/10/2013 22:32

So much to catch up with so I will just wave to everyone!

Yay to fab scan kitty

Booooo to your scan sid Flowers

f Preseed is great. If it's shag week and you only have 5 minutes to dtd and no time to get in the mood it doesn't matter, preseed will do it for you! Grin Even when you're not in a hurry if you're trying to dtd EOD but you're exhausted from work it means less effort is required and takes the pressure off a bit.

Having said that I've found in the last week that dtd has been like it was when we first got together, and no preseed has been required! Blush I think because I have no idea how long this cycle is going to be, and although I can't help getting my hopes up that some miracle repair of my body happened during the pg and mc process, realistically we're not going to have a chance of getting pg until I can take the clomid again, and it's gone back to how it was pre ttc. Hmm

Anyway, that was a long comment all about my sex life! Blush . I actually slept last night! Woke up a couple of times but only briefly and not long enough to pick my phone up and look at the time Smile . Thanks for the suggestions about counselling, I did call my gp but he said it was too early and my grief was normal. If I am still feeling overwhelmed by the time AF has returned and I've had a cycle of clomid (basically if I get a bfn and can't handle it) then I will go for some private counselling, a friend sent me the details of someone she went to.

kitty genuinely glad your scan went well even though it made me think of my own. See, I can be happy for nice people Wink .

Can't remember what else I missed yesterday. Work was crazy and then I went for a run with my mate who kept crying over her current bloke and long distance issues. Made me feel almost stable as we talked about my stuff as well but I only got the wobbly voice once (when talking about pg mutual friend, she also agreed avoidance was best as time spent with x required a thick skin at the best of times). Still getting overwhelmed at times by pg colleague but she's so lovely I can't be Angry with her. Just wish she wouldn't show off her bump in tight clothes though, it was a lot easier on Friday when she wore a baggy cardigan!

CatsCantFlyFast · 02/10/2013 08:33

Barking i think you're doing amazingly. Probably exactly what your doctor said and i'm sure you know, but grief is a process, a process takes time, and it is never linear. So don't beat yourself up if you feel like you are 'regressing' at times, it's normal and part of the journey.
I hate the wobbly voice thing. It's so bloody uncontrollable and regardless of the situation it always makes me feel like a dick. Don't think there is anything you can do about it, Happens to me quite regularly (previously normally under the influence of wine and now under the influence of hormones!). V jealous of your shagathons Grin

To everyone else....
Sid FX for mucus. Although I understood it was normal for polyps to grow and disappear quite happily at different stages of people's cycles? Anyway hope the post trigger shagging is going well. I am even jealous of your sex on demand Grin (guess who is not getting any!)
Foody any update?
Boodle - bizarre temps? Any particular reason do you think?
RP fingers crossed tightly for the new meds
Feather at least you have a date for a blood test now. Have you done any more home tests?
Kuma I hate bloods for the same reason too! Was v relieved when my recent ones came back clear. Is it just day 3 tests you're having this cycle?
Bunny what day is the op? Is Oh taking the day off to look after you? I know you are naturally nervous however just keep focussing on the boxes you are checking off, and the more boxes you check the closer to your bfp you get

FeatherFeather11 · 02/10/2013 13:13

Af arrived this morning. Relieved something has happened after it being over a week late. Starting clomid 150mg tomorrow. Here I go again...

Hope all is well with everyone else. Will have a read through the thread to catch up after work.

IamKuma · 02/10/2013 13:23

feather sorry to hear AF has arrived but pleased you know where you are again.

Barking like everyone says there will be ups and downs but you sound like you're going in the right direction. I hope today is better.

I survived having 6 vials of blood drawn this morning. The blood form was a bit of a shopping list! Nothing else scheduled to be taken this month but I'm out of the country for three weeks from Friday. Petrified about missing test results whilst I'm away. I really need to get a grip Shock .

SidneyBristow · 02/10/2013 15:17

Feather well done on your cycle resetting itself and putting an end to your limbo week!

Boodle and others who have taken clomid...I am in agony. I have a pretty high pain tolerance but every time I take a step I can feel my ovaries and they bloody hurt. I had hoped it would taper off at the 24hr-post-trigger-shot mark, but it woke me up last night and hasn't much improved. OHSS was ruled out at the scan so i can only imagine how much worse that would be than this. How in the world do people cope with pain on proper IVF egg stimulant drugs??

Thanks for the info about polyps, all - maybe it's mucous, maybe it'll go away on its own, maybe I'll get pg this month and the polyp'll be an irrelevant detail, who knows. Am tempted to do a rummage up there and pull it out myself Shock couldn't hurt much worse than the knifey ache I'm having right now.

barkingtreefrog · 02/10/2013 15:39

feather sorry it was AF after all but glad you know where you are. 150mg of clomid? I was on 50!

sid I didn't notice any obvious side effects with the clomid, I'm not sure it should be hurting you that much. Did you talk to anyone about it when you went for the monitoring? Is there anyone you could speak to?

kuma that's a lot of blood!!

Too tired to even attempt lesson planning so I'm wasting time browsing dress patterns online to find one that's anything remotely like the image I have in my head for what I want my wedding dress to look like - it's not out there!!! There's one I think could work, although it's not exactly what I wanted, but all the reviews say it was tricky to make and should only be attempted by experienced dress makers. Definitely not me!!

yorkiebilb · 02/10/2013 17:23

kitty great news on the scan! You must be very happy.

sid sorry I don't know anything about clomid as I've refused to take it so far so not sure what effects it can have. If it's hurting that much can you ring up your consultant and ask them if it's normal for some people to react like that?

feather sorry af has arrived.

boodle ooh yes it can definitely be added to the list! Remind me what was the moon one again - was it the way it was shaped? What other things were we jealous of?

Foodylicious · 02/10/2013 18:31

Hi, no exciting news here, a bit of spotting today, but not as much as yesterday. A bit crampy so expect AF to turn up tomorrow or Friday as scheduled, cheapy hpt bfn too.

Sorry for not reading rest of posts properly bit still not sleeping well, managed about 3 1/2 hour last night and awake properly since 3.30. gave up at 5 and went to work stupidly early thinking I might be able leave early too? No chance left nearly 2 hours late. Exhausted.
Here's to sleeping better tonight!

RevoltingPeasant · 02/10/2013 18:46

Okay eeeeeeeeeeek I don't know what to do re: DTD now.

So today and tomorrow I have to get up MUCH earlier than normal, like 90 mins, and it has messed up temping for these days. I had a v v faint OPK line yesterday but nowt today. So can't really tell if I am near to OV. (CD11, cycle normally 26D).

So if I am going to OV on CD13 I should get going!

But last month it was randomly CD17, and it turned out we did everything too early.

Problem is DH can only DTD a few times close together, or he gets really nasty symptoms (prostatitis).

So......... do I start now? I always get impatient and start too early! Or do I assume maybe maybe it will be delayed again?

ARGH. Confused

RevoltingPeasant · 02/10/2013 18:47

Sorry feather - looks like the nurse was right after all......

Boo.

Kitty well done you. An actual baby kitten!!!

BlindKitty · 02/10/2013 19:05

yorkie how's the gonal f going? Have you had your 2ns scan yet?

CatsCantFlyFast · 02/10/2013 19:16

RP most fertile days are day before and day of O. So if you are not getting any kind of line on your OPK today then I would hold on if you can

Bunnygirlie · 02/10/2013 19:56

Evening!

merk op is a week today, very scared! How are you?

Any advice from ladies who have had a lap and dye?

barking glad to hear you have been sleeping better and having some DTD fun Wink

feather sorry to hear AF got you! Sad

kuma how much blood?!? That's loads!

sid sorry to hear you are in pain Thanks

OP posts:
barkingtreefrog · 02/10/2013 20:16

RP have you been pimping with opks twice a day? I find it easy to miss.

Boodle9 · 02/10/2013 21:29

Merk, don't get all excited. You know my temperatures are prone to doing strange things. This month I had some high temperatures pre-ov that gave me a higher than normal coverline. 2 days ago I had a big dip but it's gone back up. Before we all go 'oooooh, implantation dip', I can tell you that I've seen this dip on plenty of other cycles and it's never come to anything. For the purposes of chart stalking: here

Sid, sorry about the horrible ovary pain. Mine was annoying but more of a dull, nagging ache, rather than proper pain.

Yorkie, I didn't like the moon because it's associated with fertility and when it's full it's all pregnant-tummy-esque. I was also jealous of the car with a BFP number plate and the sheep that had been spray-painted to show that they had been inseminated... Blush

Boodle9 · 02/10/2013 22:19

It wasn't even half nine and I deaded the thread!

Bunnygirlie · 02/10/2013 22:21

My eyes my eyes!!!!

OP posts:
Boodle9 · 02/10/2013 22:24

Pull the other one, Bunny. You know you loved it.

Grin Grin Grin

Boodle9 · 02/10/2013 22:25

Unless of course you are implying that I managed to poke one of your eyes out with my...urrrm...accessories. In which case, apologies.

IamKuma · 02/10/2013 22:27

Moons, sheep, what??? Confused

I thought about taking a scan of blood form for reference but didn't get around to it; almost every section had at least one box checked, I think there was lipid profile, liver function, hepatitis, rubella antibodies, estradiol, LH and more I can't remember!

Boodle9 · 02/10/2013 22:29

Oh dear...shouldn't have brought up the sheep and moon again.

Bunnygirlie · 02/10/2013 22:45

Tee hee hee

Shelf of shame
