Really sorry to read your news euro and nobeer - I just hope you're too early.... You both sound so sensible with your thoughts and plans. Brave ladies. X

WannabeMaryPoppins · 27/08/2013 18:31

Tallulah it is a well known fact that it is physically impossible to only eat a bit of toblerone. The same goes for cadbury's caramel. Regardless of the bar size. Wink

Fabuluce · 27/08/2013 19:07

Cups I've been having the same problem on my phone and have had to go old school and login on my laptop - frustration.

Completely understand Tallulah, lurk away and join in when you fancy it or are inspired to share a fabulous recipe Smile

So I had my review meeting today. It turns out that our eggs and sperm were functioning brilliantly and that we made great embryos so implantation is the issue. Our consultant says we should consider the whole of the first trimester as implantation time so a miscarriage during this period should also be seen as an implantation issue. We've had an mmc at 8 weeks and a Bfp so he wants me to now have tests for immune issues. I've booked in for ivf in late November but I guess we'll see what happens with the tests.

My DH is a bit pissed off that we weren't given the option of having these tests before we did our first round of ivf. Did anyone get tested before they started ivf?

eurochick · 27/08/2013 20:17

fab I had some of them while we were still trying naturally because I was very reluctant to go to IVF if there was some other possible way for us to get pg.

wishwash · 27/08/2013 20:21

euro nobeer and star I am so so sorry. I know how much of a hard time it is after a bfn so I'm going to give you a virtual hug and squeeze. Look after yourself and build up your fighting spirit, you know you have it xxx

fab the immune tests are stupidly expensive aren't they? I looked into it after my bfn but quickly closed the laptop down.
I'm a little confused myself if I'm honest, I didn't have any follow up appointments after my bfn and wasn't offered anything but I suppose it's because I'm NHS. We have financial support from family though so the option to pay for tests we may need would have been nice!

I need a bit if advice and I feel like a naughty school girl for asking! I'm due to start preparing for my FET on Thursday but injecting buserelin. I went for a baseline scan last week and she told me to take precautions because I had a follicle at around 10mm.
Well.... DP may have got carried away the other day when I was dancing around in my pj shorts and long socks so we got down with the bad thang completely forgetting about ivf. I now have a lot of CM and I'm panicking that I'm naturally ovulating for the first time in well... Forever! Argh!

nobeer · 27/08/2013 20:58

Oh blimey wish! You and your sexy socks! You say the other day, so prob too late for MAP! No advice but good for you for DTD cos IVF sometimes takes the fun out of things!

Anyone a masochist like me and watching Midwives on BBC2. The 48 year old new mum is my heroine for this week and Shock at the teen who got to 7 months without realising!

Llw2 · 27/08/2013 22:05

Resipsa I have no idea why I do it to myself! Sat here in tears, only Geordie shore can get me back on track Wink

tametortie · 27/08/2013 22:20

wish you filthy tom cat!! I must say, now that we know we can't get pregnant naturally, sex is much more fun- does anyone else find this? We dont 'try' anymore and no counting days. Its just as and when we want it and the pressure is off.

euro and nobeer hope you are both ok xxxxx

Talking of geordie shore, does anyone watch the valleys?? Its pure filth!!

brooker marypop res ll tallulah plus everyone else- hope everyone is good good good. Xxx

fab interesting review and good news really. Lots you can do now for implantation failure, not so much for duff eggs and sperm Hmm

Xxx

twinklestar2 · 27/08/2013 22:54

Res - tired, pissed off, trying to hopeful, wondering if its futile to be hopeful, on OHs back 24/7, feel like tearing my hair out, hope, despair and every other emotion in between.

resipsa · 28/08/2013 08:22

Morning all. Autumn seems to have arrived.

resipsa · 28/08/2013 08:24

Winkle that good, eh? Wink
I know what you mean though. This waiting thing is driving me mad. When I persuaded DH that DEs were the way forward, a selling point was the speed with which it would happen at my "no wait" clinic. We're into week 7 Hmm.

twinklestar2 · 28/08/2013 08:26

Waiting is all we seem to do, isn't it?

twinklestar2 · 28/08/2013 08:32

Got my review today and got my period too. Reverse irony or what. I thought you're supposed to get ironically pregnant the day of your fertility clinic appointments Hmm

Pipbin · 28/08/2013 09:13

Morning all. Woke up to bleeding.
10dp5dt.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 28/08/2013 09:16

What sort of bleeding Pip?

Good luck with your review Twinks x

Pipbin · 28/08/2013 09:19

Plenty bleeding Maybe

Enough that I couldn't get a clean wipe if you know what I mean. Mild cramping also.

So sorry to hear about your bfns Euro and Nobeer.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 28/08/2013 09:26

I'm sorry Pip. Is test day Friday? I think mine was 12p5dt at bourn.

Pipbin · 28/08/2013 09:35

Test on Saturday.
Just spoken to Bourne Hall who say to carry on with what I was doing. They aren't too hopeful though.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 28/08/2013 09:38

I'm still keeping everything crossed for you Pipx

PramQueen1971 · 28/08/2013 11:09

Oh, Pip Sad

WannabeMaryPoppins · 28/08/2013 11:18

Morning all.
Pip you poor thing and to make it all worse your clinic are being crap. Be extra Kind to yourself today sweetie.
Fab your appointment sounds like it was actually really positive and they are looking into all possibilities which is what you want. I can't remember us being offered those tests before we started either. But maybe it's where you are going to find some answers? Good luck!
twinkle hope your appointment today goes well. Fingers crossed.
nobeer and euro hope you are both ok?
wish you Little minx! Go Girl. I don't understand why they say take precautions when you on IVF. I mean what is the worst thing that happen???????? Getting pregnant?????? yes yes yes !!!!!
tame am definately going to look up the Valleys. Love a bit of filth.

AFM I am just chilling and trying to stay as relaxed as possible. DM and DH are looking after DS between them and I'm being treated like a princess. Am so grateful for having such wonderful People in my Family. Got the Zita West DVD on repeat and am determined to stay positive she says taking slow deep breaths

Waves and hugs to everyone else. x

WannabeMaryPoppins · 28/08/2013 11:19

pip misread your message as the clinic not being helpful. Sorry. Are you planning on doing anything nice today?

PramQueen1971 · 28/08/2013 11:20

..oooh, I've put a photo on my profile of my new birthday thatch. What do you think?

PramQueen1971 · 28/08/2013 11:20
