Hello everyone,

Sorry for my lack of posting lately, its partly because if havent had loads to say, so i have been lurking, but reading and thinking of you all. But also, my iphone was vomited on (nice!) and died, so i was without it for a while...felt like i lost an arm! So sad i know! Wink

I'm not sure i can catch up with everyone since i was last on, but ill have a wee like through the last few posts.

nobeer, how ya doing hun? Exciting that you have an FET planned, as well as a new flat to move into. I am also picturing you preggars and serene in your new place :) Maybe thats the visualisation you should be doing :D

Tallulleh, absolutely loving the positivity..we need some on this thread as a few of us are struggling at the moment. Good lcuk and i eagerly await your (earlier) announcement (on here i mean!) :)

Bugger, hello ;) nice to meet you. November is just around the corner woohoo!

Res, blimey, cant believe you are STILL waiting for the call...how can they seriously advertise a 'no wait' list!!?? I really really really hope you get the call very soon hun. Sorry for all the pregnancy 'news' surrounding you, it sometimes feels like we are magnets to pregnancy and baby stuff, doesnt it?! (((hugs)))

Hi Brooker, where are you at honey? I have a goldfish memory, sorry Blush

Drizzle, how are you doing?

Twinks, you ok?

MaryP, glad you are feeling more positive and thinking good thoughts about your FET to come. FET has good success rates nowadays, dunno what your woman is saying! The reality is that lots of blastocysts that arent top notch make babies plenty of times, im annoyed at her for being so negative when you don;t need that and frankly, it is not set in stone. stupid woman! Angry I never think quoting statistics to patients is of use most of the time, as we will either be in the numbers that it works for or we won't!! Hopefully, you will be this next time my lovely.

Pip, hows the spotting?? Hope it is the 'good' type of spotting too :)

Wish, Hope youve found your positivity hun. wishing you loads of good luck with your FET. All we can do is try and be positive and hope. Keep hoping honey, hopefully its your time.

Miss, sorry you didnt come away from your review feeling too positive hun, its hard sometimes as they just don't have the answers we want or need sometimes :( It sounds good that there are some investigations that might help add to tailoring your next cycle though and that you are happy that you will do another fresh one and leave FET for if you really need to :)

Hi to cups, iwant, Tame, Choco and anyone else i have missed out.

AFM: i have now had my review appointment and my consultant still seems positive for me using my own eggs, because of the response to drugs, getting to blastocyst, but just nothing is implanting, which is where we are not feeling so positive. he has asked me to repeat my natural killer cells blood test as this can change, so to be sure there is nothing happening here. Also u have had my thyroid tested too,a s i have previously had an under-active thyroid which luckily righted itself without drugs, after about 5 months, but i've never since been tested, despite me mentioning this at all my appointments! So, that will be a couple of weeks before i get those results. Then yday we went to London to my old clinic to see the conusltant there. My last cycle there was the one i had susepcted ectopic, which then turned out to be a missed miscarriage (blighted ovum) where i had to have medical management at 10 weeks to complete the miscarriage :( His suggestion is to have an HSG, as i have had previous extensive scarring in my uterus (from my DS labour and a bodged up emergency caesarean!) which he sorted out in 2 operations before my bfp with the miscarriage. He says, previous scarring and the missed miscarriage could have caused more scarring to occur which could be interfering with implantation, especially since ive had 6 blastocysts transferred over the last 2 cycles and not even a hint of a bfp. So, af begain this morning, so i have to ring up to book the HSG for this month. We are still undecided about where we ill cycle (old or current clinic) but info from both tests will hopefully be helpful and may help us to decide!!

Wishing us lots of positivity and BFPS in this thread...we deserve some Grin

I think it is time for me to join this thread, I have been lurking for a bit now. I am due to start ivf in a months time having aggressive short protocol due to dismal antral follicle count. I found that out on Monday though have long suspected that was the problem as my fsh ranges from 9.5-10. It has come as a horrible shock to realise just how bad it is though. I am 36 and have been ttc for 2 years and 10 months. It has not been a lot of fun, with major surgery thrown in for laughs. The cons said there was little point testing my AMH as it would undoubtedly be very low. Which was cheering Hmm I have been warned that chances of getting to egg collection are rather slim so support on this would be much appreciated.

Hi Rabbit, welcome Smile

Sounds like you've been through a fair amount of crap up to this point, so glad you've hopped on board this Fred. I'm always amazed at how thoughtful and lovely consultants can be when imparting certain information to their patients! Unbelievable! Wishing you lots of luck of getting a few good eggs and making it all the way to the 2ww, if not to that BFP Grin

Thanks you - I have just realised after glooming about how unlikely it is that I will have a biological child that I am going to have to have injections in my stomach. The clexane ones I had last year stung like a bastard. Do they sting? Can you do it wrong?

Report
resipsa · 26/09/2013 16:59

Hi rabbit. Sorry, not nice but true, Clexane just stings but it's short-lived pain Wink

Report
starsandmoonandback · 26/09/2013 17:45

Rabbit, are you asking about the ivf drugs or clexane? I've never done clexane but have heard its a big needle! So the ivf injections will be a doddle for you, if used to clexane ones Grin I've always injected in my thighs tho, rather than tummy. Although I know lots use their tummy.

Hi Rabbit :) welcome here. Despite being bad on hormones, the injections were fine! Not stingy except cheapo trigger. You can do it! I'll probably be more on The Other Thread, as I won't be cycling but ready to hold hands there or here!

Sorry about 6blast failures! I hope the tests throw up a fixable issue, starsnstuff!

Bugger I'm nobeer, 41 TTC since 2 and a bit years ago. Was told we'd have to do IVF due to age and damage done by Stevens Johnson Syndrome. Did IVF in July but had all embryos frozen cos of OHSS risks. Had 2FET in August but didn't implant. Trying again in November. They're going to take all the frosties to 5 day blasto, and they recommended genetically testing them. I want to read a bit more about stuff as I'm wondering if I need to be tested for immunity issues. I love this thread, the people here are great!
