I am also keeping everything crossed for you drizzle. Hope the 2ww passes swiftly for you (I know it will probably seem like forever, but am still hoping!)

Congrats Llw on the fertilisation of all the eggs. Great news. Hoping for a BFP for you both and for Fab as well.

AFM, I am really behind you lot because my doc's referral for IVF is only going through next week and am fed up of waiting already. I cried my eyes out in the docs on Tuesday and did the same at my first counselling session yesterday. Am still struggling with the three pregnancy losses and keep bursting into tears in random places. Feel a bit better after counselling though. Am going with my DP next time. Am also going back to work next week. Have had 9 weeks away from the classroom. Am not sure I remember how to teach!

I'm really keen to get started now on IVF. The wait is super frustrating!

Big hugs to everyone and hoping you all have good weekends xxx

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 20/09/2013 15:48

Thanks buddies, I vary from wildly optimistic to planning the next FET... Maybe I should quit both and do some work Wink

Badhair the counseling sounds long overdue. Three losses you say. It took me a good three months to get over my first mc. Handhold and well done for getting some help. I really hope it will allow you to grieve and move on. Good luck with getting back to work as well!

How are you feeling now still about the postponement? Okay? I hope so.

nobeer · 20/09/2013 16:22

Badhair you soon get into the swing of things, believe me. I hope the counselling helps, you deserve to find some peace and cope with your losses.

drizzle I'd say those wildly swinging feelings are normal during the 2ww!

AFM I've just caught up on the GBBO biscuit episode. I audibly gasped! I'm rooting for Kimberly at the moment.

I feel I've missed out not watching the GBBO but in my defence I felt it would encourage me to bake and this eat lots of yumminess!

However...in a bid to avoid thinking about missing AF we are off out to a friend's for dinner so I've made a dessert - key lime pie - nom nom.

Ooh and I can't remember if I said this or not yesterday but I made a goat curry which was delish - I never knew that goat was so good for you - same cals as chicken and lower bad cholesterol that chicken! Just Mae sure your butcher chops it properly - mine hacked it and we were left with lots of tiny shards of bones which made it a little challenging.

Badhairday76 · 20/09/2013 19:19

Thanks guys. Yeah, 2 ectopics, 1 miscarriage and 2 emergency operations to remove my tubes leaving me officially infertile. And all in the space of 9 months. Am desperately trying to find positives in all of this. Only thing I can think of is that it l

Llw2 · 20/09/2013 20:22

Try again bad, want to hear what you want to say?

Badhairday76 · 20/09/2013 21:21

Thanks Llw! I think I was trying to say 'at least it seems as though our eggs and sperm are compatible'. And I am hugely relieved that I won't have another tubal pregnancy ever again.

Although g

Badhairday76 · 20/09/2013 21:22

Bloody hell! Meant to write 'goodness knows what will happen when it comes to IVF'! Am keeping everything crossed for all of you ladies - y

Badhairday76 · 20/09/2013 21:22

Xxx

Fabuluce · 20/09/2013 22:53

Badhair you've had a pretty horrid, shitty, wanky time if it, obviously you are going to feel al over the shop emotionally, hormonally and every which way. The counselling will definitely help as will acupuncture (can't remember if you're having that but it really does help if you can). It sounds like you are an excellent candidate for ivf though as you know you can make babies, it's just a case if getting the little buggers in the right place so ivf should work well for you. I will keep everything crossed for you lovely.

Badhairday76 · 21/09/2013 08:44

Thanks Fab. It's 3 weeks today since my last surgery and my little boy is 18 months old today so we are marking the occasion by going to Southend for the day. Oh the glamour!! Have had a load of snotty, slobbery kisses from my lovely boy this morning. Life could be worse. Thanks for the kind words. X

Fabuluce · 21/09/2013 09:37

Smile Have a lovely day Smile

WannabeMaryPoppins · 21/09/2013 11:27

Morning all. Sorry for not posting sooner, but have had a very busy week. Have been lurking though and waving you all on from the sidelines. Just wanted to say congrats to llw - that embie haul sounds awesome. Good luck for the ET on Monday!
drizzle keeping everything crossed
badhair have a lovely day with your Family. You certainly deserve it.

Waves and hugs to everyone else

Have finally caught up on GBBO. Would love Kimberly or that teacher (Mark?) to win. Also have a soft spot for Howard Smile.

AFM absolutely nothing to report. Just Holding out for my Review on Monday and hoping to get some answers.

Hope you all have lovely Weekends.

WannabeMaryPoppins · 21/09/2013 11:31

Actually, I could do with some advice. I have just had the strangest AF. I stoppped all the drugs a week last Monday. Started spotting on Wednesday, heavy bleed on Monday, spotting since Monday evening. WTF? Has anyone else had this after FET? I get quite a lot of spotting with a normal AF but nothing like this. hope that wasn't too much Information?

nobeer · 21/09/2013 12:20

Badhair nothing sweeter than snotty kisses from an 18 month old!

Hello MaryP. My AF was a bit heavier and a bit more painful than normal. I think I had a day or two spotting, then 2 or 3 days heavy bleed, then spotting for a couple of days. But that isn't much more different to normal. But that sounds like a lot of spotting. Have you had your review meeting yet?

OP posts:
WannabeMaryPoppins · 21/09/2013 12:38

Not yet. Its on Monday so will certainly mention it then.

nobeer · 21/09/2013 13:00

Yes, do. It might just be your body getting used to not having the hormones, but they'll be able to tell you more. xx

OP posts:
nobeer · 21/09/2013 13:01

Oh, and good luck with your review MaryP!

OP posts:
Fabuluce · 21/09/2013 14:27

I agree with Nobeer, Marypops- it's probably your body just fart-arsing about and trying to get back to normal again but definitely worth a mention in your review meeting on Monday. Good luck with that - I hope you get some answers xx

AFM (tmi alert) AF was due on Wednesday and I've had mothing at all until this morning when brown sludge arrived. Still no AF but I suspect it won't be far behind. Oh well, it was wishful thinking but stranger things have happened!

chocolocodowninacapulco · 21/09/2013 20:42

Hello! How's everyone?

lemon well done on being PUPO, how's your sanity? Wink

llw well done on the great fertilisation, did you get a call today too? The meal out sounds amazing.

fab sorry you've been in limbo land, any advances on brown sludge for now? Any scrumdelicious recipes to share?! Goat - really??

maryp sorry you're body seems to be messing you about, I don't know anything about FET, but the other ladies are prob right in that it's your body trying to get back to normal.

badhair how was Southend? Did you have a Rossi's ice cream? [drools]

brooker hang on in there lovely, so hoping the monster cyst has fecked off and you can get on and work towards the happy outcome that you deserve.

wish have you stopped the prognyova again now then? Crap that you Re being told different stuff( I do miss the nurses there though)

twinks how was your scratch? I had some pain that was short lived and I remember feeling relieved it was over and saying 'was that it'? Hope it was ok for you.

res how long we're you told you might be on the waiting list?

Hello to nobeer, fish miss, tame, prambo still, iwant, euro, shellster stars and others that I'm bound to have forgotten.

AFM, work's been busy and although I've been reading every day, I haven't really had time to post. We went to the London women's clinic today to start our mock cycle and I had a day 3 scan and have now got to take 4 prognyova tablets a day and then go back next Saturday for another scan. Still feeling a bit lost at the moment as I've been used to a clinic that has relatively few patients and makes you feel like you are cared for, and although the nurse was nice today, there just didn't seem time to ask questions as it was all so busy. Has anyone else done a mock cycle? (Although I guess it's different with a mock cycle for DE IVF?)

I've missed you old slappers! [affectionate icon]

wishwash · 21/09/2013 22:32

Holy bejesus on a quad bike.... It's all just hit me. I've spent so long hurrying along my FET and being impatient, wishing to get on with it. I'm just over a week away and I hadn't out any real thought into it not working and how I'm going to deal with it all again..... I feel angry with myself!

wishwash · 21/09/2013 22:35

choco I'm sorry you're feeling lost Sad I have to admit I don't feel a huge amount of warmth from the winterbourne. It may be because I'm NHS and they only have so much time/funding for me but I always feel rushed and like I'm an inconvenience. When my NHS funding runs out and I start paying I will be looking into other clinics. Maybe it's because I haven't experienced anything other than that clinic?
