MissM, what wonderful news! Congratulations Thanks

Twinks, do plough on with the temping. It's absurdly easy and you may be surprised at what you find. Lots of women discover they've been shagging at the completely wrong time of the month whilst following their body's natural signals ie cervical mucus - which is easily misread. You have nowt to lose with temping and everything to gain.

Fab, ERPC will not aid implantation whereas an endometrial scratch is performed for that very purpose. I got pregnant four months after my scratch. Who knows whether or not it helped?

MaryPops, wishing you the happiest news when you test.

IWantOneNow · 04/09/2013 15:28

Hello everyone - please may i join you? I've been on one of the TTC threads for a year, but with no luck conceiving we've decided to go down the IVF route (paying as OH already has children from previous relationship). I've been lurking for a month or so, as i've been waiting for all the tests to be completed and the initial chat with the consultant. I'm so impressed with the love and funnies on this thread, you are all soooo lovely and supportive to each other, i would love to be a part of it.

IWantOneNow · 04/09/2013 15:35

IWant 37, OH 44. TTC for 1 year, not even a whiff of a BFP ever. Discovered last week that i have v low egg reserve and v low AMH level (which means it's going to be a struggle with high levels of drugs). Cycle #1 starts in about 1 month (waiting for AF then 21 days from then). I might even be able to submit a recipe at a push.... Hmm

nobeer · 04/09/2013 16:11

welcome Iwant! We all want one so you're in good company. Yes please to a recipe and good luck with starting the stimming next month.

Welcome Iwant!

Pram - I CBA with temping! Too much hassle and I have to swap sides in bed cause I sleep near the wall and have nowhere to put the thermometer!! Ive used opks and the CBFM so I know when to shag. Even done it eod thorough out the whole month! That was tiring and boring.

Can't try this month as having scratch in a couple of weeks and then doing ivf next month so can't have sex anyway.

PramQueen1971 · 04/09/2013 17:16

So why did you start temping, Twinkletoes? If you already know when you ovulate?

twinklestar2 · 04/09/2013 18:26

The acupuncture lady asked me to temp for a month so she could see if there was anything wrong with me because all signs so far say that there isn't, so she said I prob don't need to see her.

Wimwom · 04/09/2013 19:42

maryP - hiya. My understanding is most people are on two a week, I was on daily - now (thank god) on every other day. I wouldn't see twice a week as anything other than normal. Are you on lentogest or gestone? Some are harder to pick up in blood tests so they can't monitor your levels very well - have you had a level done?
brook - hello lovely, the fuckers are still fuckers!

Waves and hellos to everyone else - still lurking here! X

IWantOneNow · 04/09/2013 22:49

Thanks guys, but I seem to have killed the thread! Confused. Hope everyone is ok out there and just taking it easy tonight x

BrookerC · 05/09/2013 07:32

wim please let us know the fantabulous day when you have no more of the little fuckers! That day cannot come too soon for you xx
welcome iwant Smile
maryp I love great British bake off! yum, yum!! Hope you're staying sane x

Missmidden · 05/09/2013 08:33

Morning all. It has been quiet here the last day or 2. Welcome Iwant and you haven't killed the thread, it will all go mad again soon, I'm sure.

wim and Marypops sorry to hear the injections are still a pain, I feel very lucky to have left that behind at the end of stimms. How is the menkulling at the moment, Marypops? I won't say not long now, as we are both waiting for Monday and I know how far away that seems.

No news here, all quiet. Which is good but I would love the odd symptom to convince me!

Morning all,
wim bloody hell, every day? That sounds horrendous. Could you inject yourself or did you have to go to the Dr.? I'm nearing the end of the 2ww after my FET on the 26.08. Last Monday I had to go in for a blood test to check my Hormone Levels and they came back to me saying that I had to have Proluton injections twice a week. My second one is tomorrow. Don't know if I am pregnant though as my OTD is on Monday and DH has given me strict instructions not to POAS until Saturday.
Welcome IWant . Don't think you have killed the thread. They are probably just on strike until we get that recipe you promised Smile

Thanks for all the Support guys. Am doing lots of cooking and baking at the Moment which I find very Relaxing. Yes, Bake off is brilliant. Have also watched all of the Australian Bake Off and am now working my way through the Comic Relief Specials . Anyone fancy popping over for Brew and Cake?

ThoughtfulOne · 05/09/2013 11:44

I love GBBO too although due to work I usually have to catch up on iPlayer.

I've never really done temping or OPKs - all too much of a faff. I was told that provided I have regular periods it is likely I'm ovulating. Plus I suppose my situation is a little different to most of you in that my problems are explained (2 ectopics dodgy tubes). It's been heartbreaking and frustrating but I can't imagine the maddening diagnosis of unexplained infertility. Still it's not a competition (as I think someone said above).

AFM- I had my appointment today and it's all go! Just waiting for AF before I can start pill. They were surprisingly helpful and gave me the pill today before my other drugs and nurse appointment so I can get going (as AF due tomorrow).

X

IWantOneNow · 05/09/2013 12:09

Hi Thought - what protocol are you on? If you're on long, we might be going through this at the same time, as AF due on Monday. Although i've got to wait 21 days after AF before i can start my drugs..

nobeer · 05/09/2013 13:11

beetle lovely to see you on here, dear! How are you getting on?

marypops I saw some of the Comic Relief BO, they made me laugh so great therapy for you. I'm booking my flight now, so please me ready with a slice of Cake and a Brew for me Wink.

I'm feeling slightly left out that I never got these painful bum injections. Oh well, maybe I'll have that joy next time round!

ThoughtfulOne · 05/09/2013 13:11

Yep IWant - on long too so the pill for 21 days before the real drugs start! I count it as the start though as there is no way if be on the pill if we weren't doing IVF.

WannabeMaryPoppins · 05/09/2013 13:41

nobeer have just taken the chocolate and cherry cake out of the oven and put the kettle on for a Cup of caffeine free PG Tips Smile

IWantOneNow · 05/09/2013 13:51

I know Thoughtful it seems so backward doesn't it! Excellent - we'll be in it together - hold on tight, from what i've read on the net and on here it's a bit of a bumpy ride! Wink xx

Fabuluce · 05/09/2013 15:38

Dammit marypops - no non-choc cake?? (Huffs quietly in corner).....oh well, probably just the excuse I need to whip up my own cake (on sat as no time til then) - am going to try this blackberry bakewell cake www.lovefood.com/guide/recipes/12684/gizzi-erskines-blackberry-bakewell-cake as I have been blackberrying in my garden before my new tenants move in and got a good haul - any excuse to make something yummy!!

resipsa · 05/09/2013 16:42

You see, my idea of cooking is putting M+S in t'oven so all this baking stuff goes over my head. That's why I don't share recipes; I know none!

The only thing I can bake with reliable results in Anzac biscuits....

WannabeMaryPoppins · 05/09/2013 17:30

Don't tell me you're allergic to Choc fab? How about a plum crumble cake? Would that send your tastebuds tingling?

Fabuluce · 05/09/2013 18:04

Oooooh and mmmmmmm that sounds delish - I'll be round in a jiffy!!

I'm not sure what goes in an Anzac - doesn't it have dead flies??

I got hypnotised off choc about 7-8 years ago and haven't touched it since!

WannabeMaryPoppins · 05/09/2013 20:28

You have got to read the thread about Costa coffee. It is the funniest thing I have read for agesGrin Grin Grin
