Still I'm 41 and I met DP when I was 37. It can happen.

My god we should write a book between us! missm you need a blood test surely? What a shocker!
tame your words describe how I feel sometimes. Resigned. I would also add fucking bored! I am not a patient person by nature & don't stick at things for long before I get bored & flit onto something else It will be interesting to see how long I can carry on like this...
Glad to hear so many having a non IVF weekend. It's essential to survive the roller coaster in my mind
Thanks everyone for your support today. TMI alert when I had my scan today the cyst was pretty huge . I had the head of nursing again & she spent 10 mins prodding around, which was quite interesting but rather gross due to AF. When she removed the dildocam I had a huge gush of blood! It was pretty gross as you can imagine. I am now wondering if the dildocam could have burst the cyst. Has anyone ever heard of such a thing?
I am back in tomorrow first thing for another scan as my bloods came back ok & they want to check to see if the cyst has reduced/gone-?
Welcome back drizzle Smile

Llw2 · 02/09/2013 22:14

Brook today sounds gross, I was waiting for your update to hear it was a walk in the park! I had to cancel my appt AF is still MIA! I am grouchy, have all side effects but still nothing, stupid bitch!

BrookerC · 02/09/2013 22:23

llw is this your first cycle?

Llw2 · 02/09/2013 22:33

Yup I have a fridge full of drugs waiting to go, so frustrated! I've been swimming tonight to distract myself. How are you feeling post scan?

BrookerC · 02/09/2013 22:42

I'm absolutely fine thank you. You have nothing to worry about from my experience. There is no pain - very, very mild discomfort maybe but that's all. The thing you will get used to rather alarmingly is observing everyone in sight poking and peering around your foof! You will have your legs in stirrups more times than you could ever have imagined Hmm

tametortie · 03/09/2013 00:06

Glad my words struck a chord. Respisa is dead right- longing for dc2 is a different kind of pain. But we all feel the longing in some way. Our wants and desires are different.

Shitty old evening here. Snapped my little toe on the bannister at home, been in a&e all evening and now on crutches!!

Aaaaggggghhhhh!!

miss very excited for you and will be eagerly awaiting more info xxx

Missmidden · 03/09/2013 07:05

Tame, Brooker, Respia, Nobeer, Tame* thanks for all the congratulations. Have had a very poor night's sleep due to all the excitement of last night but looking forward to phoning the clinic this morning. Not sure I will confess to all the drinking, eating bad things and taking of ibuprofen (sprained ankle from tennis) that I have been up to this last week! Feeling rather wary, though- lurching from wild optimism to certain gloom minute by minute.

Booker very best of luck with the scan today, here's hoping it somehow went pop yesterday and you can get started again.

tametortie · 03/09/2013 07:10

miss the best and strongest babies survive drugs, alcohol, shit food etc!! DD survived a drunken fight at a wedding Blush ( I was rough back then!) I have everything crossed for you Grin

I have just been on my old antenatal (now postnatal) thread and realised I should have a 4 year old starting school today. Feel shite now.

nobeer · 03/09/2013 07:23

tame I'm sorry, that's so sad.

resipsa · 03/09/2013 07:27

Good luck miss. When DD just conceived (but I didn't know, obvs!), got so drunk that I couldn't stand. She's fine!

Hi tame. Eek re the toe/crutches! Still hurting?

resipsa · 03/09/2013 07:29

Tame Hmm

Hate those moments. I know that I will feel the same every time Oct 16 rolls around...

resipsa · 03/09/2013 07:33

Good luck with dildocam, brooker. It is amazing (as someone else said) how quickly stuff like this becomes your "normal". Do any of you get that weird disconnected feeling when they're poking and prodding as if you're watching it happen to someone else, not you? I do. Probably self-preservation!

tametortie · 03/09/2013 07:34

res mine was a christmas baby- due December 25th. No getting away from that is there??!! I still love christmas though.

Toes is sore. Can't get the hang of crutches. Im going to put it up today then attempt work tomorrow with trainers on.

I was running after DD trying to brush her frizzy hair when I did it! Smile

resipsa · 03/09/2013 07:37

Still 31 is young so if you genuinely feel the need to make a major life change for your own happiness and sanity, it is most definitely not too late.

resipsa · 03/09/2013 07:39

Got to follow the advice of Maisy - don't run on the stairs!

Hope it calms down a bit. Ouch.

resipsa · 03/09/2013 07:41

Sorry for the cluster posts. I always seem to do it. No idea why; not as if I'm never reading MN the rest of the time.

How are you all today?

BrookerC · 03/09/2013 07:42

Morning all!
miss really looking forward to your update today Smile
tame I am scrunching my toes at the thought of the pain. Ooowwee! Grin
resp I must be a bit of a freak. I could lay there for ages reviewing the screen Hmm Hope this bloomin' cyst has miraculously disappeared....

tametortie · 03/09/2013 07:46

brooker on my 1st cycle, I had a 28mm cyst and they gave me a HCG shot to get rid of it. It worked- within about 24 hours, I felt it pop.

Never heard of that before or since but it shows there are options!

Lifeasafish · 03/09/2013 08:04

mm a very tentative congratualtions for you! I may have been a late implanter and not a chem... And I believe the drink effects on the baby come later so don't worry.

respisa thanks for reassuring me. 8 weeks may push back my Fet though. I know they will make me wait 3 months though I do not know from when they calculate that. My cycle from first jab to mmc is 4 months pretty much.

brooker my fingers are crossed that you get the hcg jab. i wonder what it feels like when it pops.

tame ouchy for your toe and hugs for the sadness. I have a feeling my baby was due on mothers day. I'm really hoping I'm pregnant again by then so it doesn't hurt as badly.

still if you are contemplating ending your marriage, do not feel scared to consider it. Do you have any friends to talk to who may have an idea of the situation? I'm 33 (birthday was sunday) and you are still more than young enough to find someone else and have a baby naturally and in a fully happy environment. Considering something doesn't mean you have to act upon it by the way. Life is too short to spend it unhappy.

Afm - nothing to report!

BrookerC · 03/09/2013 08:27

Just out of clinic. The cyst is still there < & 35mm!> They like to wait a cycle for it to disappear of it's own accord before intervening with drugs. I am therefore now waiting for next AF to start. Bummer!

Lifeasafish · 03/09/2013 08:52

brooker I'm so sorry to hear that. After the uncertainity the worst part of IVF is the endless waiting and limbo. Its horrible. I hope you put lots of activities in place to keep you occupied and busy.

Fish.x

tametortie · 03/09/2013 09:12

brooker time for a month of fun, weekends away, drink and food then!!

This month just wasn't the right month for you. Next month is.

35mm is a whopper!! That's not a cyst- its a 2nd head!! Grin

twinklestar2 · 03/09/2013 09:38

Mm - whispering congrats!

Brooker - that's bad luck re cyst. Hate the waiting but we're so used to it aren't we?

Day 3 of temperature-taking saga. Swapped sides with oh so I could put glasses, thermometer and phone (to use as a light) next to me. Woke up, took temp - all good. Wake up this morning, go to the loo, as sitting on the loo realise I'd DREAMT that I'd taken my temp so hadnt taken my temp at all. TEMP TAKING FAIL.
