Hi ajd and mum2cub! Welcome to the club no one wants to be in!!

Random bleed isn't fun! Hopefully it'll be a surprise that as you're not expecting it to happen, it will!!

Forced sex isn't fun for anyone. I've tried lots of things, but it works well if I let DH decide the schedule or we decide together. The he has to remember to its not always me demanding it. Then during 2ww we have fun sex and just do whatever we want and it doesn't have to end in dtd. Also try to to go bed too late coz then it is a pain to have to dtd when your knackered (we often forget this!!)

fedupofrainydays · 24/10/2013 06:27

Hello and welcome ladies.

I wish I had all the answers for fun ttc... It started off fun but it is a bit of a chore. Due to our busy lives sex was usually a weekend thing but my ovulation never seems to happen then!! So we are late at night or silly early at the mo and its hard work!!

So... Am now worried I'm not actually ovulating at all. No temp rise yet and pos opk was Monday. It's 3 days after. Weirdly this month too I had the sore boobs right through af and last week and now they have stopped. I have been getting sore boobs all through 2 ww. What's going on?!

Random bleeding should be checked out but as 2be says it could bring a pleasant suprise! People do bleed through ov and implantation so could be those?

Hmmm fed up I'm not sure. FF has finally whacked some cross hairs on my chart today and agreed that O took place cd16 this month, day after pos OPK. So 3dpo for me. We Bded last night and hoping that the EWCM stops now as I need a break!!!!!

fedupofrainydays · 24/10/2013 08:17

How many days after your pos opk was your temp rise sebs?

OP posts:
2beornot · 24/10/2013 09:57

POAS this morning (I am a proper idiot). Not even with fmu.

Who can guess what it said? BFFN!

sebsmummy1 · 24/10/2013 12:10

I think it was one day, I'm going to link to my chart; fertilityfriend.com/home/a296f/

2be in writing from my phone to can't scroll up to see if you've bento ones how many dpo you are. Hope it's just too early for you xxxxxx

sebsmummy1 · 24/10/2013 12:11

fedupofrainydays · 24/10/2013 14:38

Wow. Yours def has a sudden drop then rise. Mine just looks like a mountain range throughout! Been thinking I'm not doing it properly too but hey, it's my first month!!

2be I'm always like that. Suddenly get the POAS urge and succumb even at days in cycle or times of day I know it won't be a bfp even if am pregnant. It's so weird how these sticks play with the mind!

OP posts:
2beornot · 24/10/2013 14:57

I'm 10 dpo. According to stats on countdown to pregnancy there's 76% BFP if I am preg at this stage. So if I was I'm sure there would have been something there. I kept telling myself not to POAS coz it would only upset me, but I did and it has!! Why do I never learn?

sebsmummy1 · 24/10/2013 15:44

Fed up - the first bit of that chart which is really high and low was when I was using an ear thermometer. From cd9 I started using a bbt thermometer and suddenly my temps were quite consistent. So I think the right thermometer is really important.

2be, we torture ourselves because there is just a chance we might get that second line. It's the hope factor. You have a little bit of it before and then feel hopeless after if we don't get the result we want. I still think there is hope as dpo 10 is considered early. HUGE hugs xxxxx

Squigglypig · 24/10/2013 19:09

Okay ladies, AF is nearly here again, I've been trying for 11 months (had a miscarriage last November), have a near 3 year old.

A question for you all, I think I've tried everything but have I missed anything out:

I've tried:

lots of sex
sex every 2 days
acupuncture
B6
giving up caffeine
"relaxing"
reflexology
hypnotherapy
preseed

We've had the tests, hormone wise we're fine (apparently - I think my progesterone is on low side but doctor said it's above the line so it's fine). He's had his tests - all fine.

I figure if there were any cysts or any blockages I wouldn't have got pregnant and they'd have picked up on them when I was being scanned after the miscarriage - or am I being naive and having far too much faith in the NHS?

It just seems ridiculous that I can be trying for so long and nothing. It was the same the first couple of times I did get pregnant as well, so there must be something up - this can't just be bad luck can it?

I've just turned 37 - maybe I'm just too old.

fedupofrainydays · 25/10/2013 07:48

If I had the answer pig I wouldn't be here!!
Blockages wouldn't show up on scan but because you were pregnant that's unlikely. You can ask your doc for a scan to check for cysts... I did. Even though I too had a scan for mc in feb this year.
Have you temped? Another way to check ovulating? Although this is my first month of temping and it's all over the shop. I just 'discarded' one freak high temp on Sunday (drank a fair bit sat night) and now it's telling me I ovulated on Monday. So af due for me next sun / mon.
You aren't too old. I have friends who had their first at 40!

OP posts:
Squigglypig · 25/10/2013 09:04

Oh yes I temped for a couple of months and I use OPKs regularly. I'm pretty regular and I'm confident that I ovulate. I don't know. It's just so frustrating!

Sigh! I guess we'll get there in end. I'm getting less obsessed and more resigned as the months tick by. I have a deadline in my head of January after which we're going to go to the Council's adoption talk and see if that might be an option for us although I've heard thy prefer any birth children to be that bit oldrr.

sebsmummy1 · 25/10/2013 09:09

Agreed! My sister had her first in her forties too. You are not too old (and I'm particularly saying that as I am a year older lol) Wink

A lot of people talk about a book that enables you to really understand your fertility. I have feeling it's this one www.amazon.com/Taking-Charge-Fertility-Anniversary-Edition/dp/0060881909/ref=cm_cmu_pg_t

Might be worth a read.

I'm on 4dpo, had some creamy discharge yesterday and felt freezing cold, but otherwise nothing to really comment on as it's too early.

Xxxxxx

2beornot · 26/10/2013 08:58

Squiggly I wish had any wise words. I think the same - if it only takes one sperm then how come sendings thousands up there isn't working. Bah!!!

No sign of AF here, 12dpo. No hpt in the house though so no testing this weekend. If she not here on mon when she's dies I'll test again but not confident.

In other news, my nephews fiancée is pregnant! I am so happy for them, but what with that and all the babies born recently I'm feeling a bit Sad

sebsmummy1 · 26/10/2013 09:49

2be I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you darling xxxxx

Dpo 5 here, have had a temp spike today which I'm attributing to the progesterone cream that I've been applying twice daily ever since FF confirmed ovulation.

I am also pretty wet down there with creamy CM. Good sign but means nothing on its own. Also pretty bloated but I ate quite a lot last night lol.

Baby dust all round xxxx

sebsmummy1 · 26/10/2013 19:19

Oooh I've had some different symptoms for me this month. CM has gone pretty similar to EWCM, not plentiful, but a slimy coating on the tissue when I wipe and I now have mild cramping!!! Can't help but get my hopes up.

fedupofrainydays · 27/10/2013 08:23

Me too.. But I get it every month!! I can't go to the loo (sorry tmi) and then v bloated but think that's due to the co codamol I'm taking for my neck. Agony!!

OP posts:
sebsmummy1 · 27/10/2013 09:07

I said the same to OH. I say every month; oooooh this is different lol, think I'm pregnant, and I'm not!!!

So the cramps ended up being really quite bad last night, equivalent to AF cramps, ended up taking a painkiller. This morn I feel fine, creamy CM. Just a waiting game.

fedupofrainydays · 27/10/2013 10:46

Sounds like implantation but I too have had that for numerous months and was never pregnant!!! The time I was pregnant with ds I had v painful cramps at 10 dpo. So I think I get the same symptoms whether preggers or not!

OP posts:
2beornot · 27/10/2013 16:24

Ladies, I'm out. AF is here, not full blown it's obviously her.

Thinking about it, AF has been even lighter than usual since mmc - could that be a sign that something's not as it should be?!

Been ttc since Jan, and I'm now on my 5th cycle since mmc. This is officially my longest stint at ttc and I won't be able to announce any preg by my due date (i.e. Won't be 12 wks). I don't know if I've got the emotional strength to carry this on - sobbed last night when I realised hope for this month was gone (although I already knew that anyway). Sad

I hope you get better results than me this month!

sebsmummy1 · 27/10/2013 18:56

Oh darling I'm so sorry Sad Sad

God this is all just so unfair. There are people out there just falling pregnant at the drop of a hat without wanting to and we have to wait month after month after month.

I have had pretty much zero positive symptoms since this morn so I imagine nothing good is happening here.

Lots and lots of love to you xxxxxx

fedupofrainydays · 27/10/2013 19:25

Oh bum 2be
It sucks so much. I went past my EDD, got af the day after and then two birth annoucements the day after that. Toughest time ever and also longest time ttc for me too. Cycle 9 here since mmc and each month that passes I have a mini break down, think I can't possibly carry on... But I do. And dreading this time in about a week when I will be crashing back down again. Big hugs and I so know how you feel. You will have pick yourself up in the next day or so but I personally need a sobbing session (quite literally) and feel hideous for first day or two of af and then start feeling a little better each day. Have a good cuddle with dc 1 and with DH and a bit of a rant about how unfair it all is (makes it seem a bit better!!) xxx
After mmc and erpc my af was lighter (and more painful) for a good few months. It's now heavier than it used to be so who know what that means!

sebsmummy1 · 28/10/2013 07:41

7dpo here, creamy CM still and body chills. Have had the chills for days which is very weird for me, I'm a very hot person. The creamy CM is also abnormal for me at this time in the cycle but again amounts to nothing without a positive HPT.

I'm hopeful but very very cautious.
