Still here, still ttc, still POAS, still symptom spotting, still counting days, still temping, still shagging and still absolutely nutty!!!

OP posts:
GandTnow · 02/09/2013 08:45

Hi everyone, back from a weekend away. Going mad symptom spotting, but no sore boobs so convinced myself all the rest is in my head. Not sure I'm gonna be able to hold out until Friday to poas!

Af due on Monday so I thinking maybe Thursday? Or is that too early?

GandTnow · 02/09/2013 08:48

Liquid Hope you're feeling better, I think the cream is fine to use.

2be Glad you had a good weekend, looking forward to the end of this week to see how many bfps we can get! Smile

Liquidambar · 02/09/2013 11:47

hi ladies. I'm feeling better thanks. I used the yogurt and I think it helped.
fedup and shell good luck for today.

gandtnow and 2be I think af is due ob Monday or Tuesday as well. Friday might be a bit early if it's Tuesday but I'm happy to do it Wink

fedupofrainydays · 02/09/2013 11:57

Glad the yoghurt helped liquid
Welcome shell and hope tests are all ok.

So scan was fine. Weird 'area' has gone so assumed it was just a clot in the uterus. She said it is likely I've ovulated already (I'm cd 9) as there is fluid in pelvis area and no sign of matured follicles. I was a bit concerned that she couldn't see one that had burst already tho as think they could on last scan. Bit disappoint and think cd 7/8 is a bit stupidly early for ovulation and counting myself out already this month. Adamant I'm not going to waste my life symptom spotting and testingn early as had false pos last month and had all symptoms under the sun. BUT I have my holiday on Saturday to look forwards too and even though I will be getting out the tampax half way through it I cannot wait for a break!!!

OP posts:
2beornot · 02/09/2013 12:31

Fedup - is that good news?! I guess it is because the weird area has gone. But not good that you're counting yourself out already (although I've done that this month and you kind of get your own life back for a month!).

Is there a 'rule' that's says you've should ov on certain days? I knew lp has to be over 10 days but not sure about no of days pre pv

getagoldtoof · 02/09/2013 12:56

Aww, fedup, I'd hoped you'd get some helpful advice? Do you think your go might agree to look at your hormones, sounds a bit like you're out of whack, ov is really quite early, isn't it?

Well I'm very excited about the mass poas on friday. I am cd 7, so will start opks then in solidarity. They are left over frm dc 1, as they go out of date next month must be used! (and opks give me something to obsess over).

Glad to hear your thrush is on the way out, liquid. I've got terrible piles Sad so I'm feeling rather sorry for myself.

G&t - thursday prob is too early, but as you're a ttc nutter I'd say it's just fine!

Shellster, gosh your ttc sounds dramatic. Massively hopeful for you.

Fingers crossed for you 2be!

Kpidg, when do you think you'll ov?

KPidgeon · 02/09/2013 13:13

geta not really sure as cycles have been longer than I expected. I still have AF. Day 14 for me would be next Weds but ovulation might be later than that..so I think we will start DTDing on Thursday this wk every other day then until next week with a little burst of activity mid week! (This is me being very optimistic!)
I'm doing the OPKs now but the FMU is difficult for me as I wee a lot in the night! So am doing once morning time and once evening. Hope that will catch it.

Have been wine free for 5 days and cutting down on caffeine for 7 days. This morning was my first day with NO caffeine and I have a headache and feel all out of sorts. Definitely withdrawal!

I've also been carrying a moonstone around with me. Probably total hocum but can't do any harm!

fedupofrainydays · 02/09/2013 14:19

Thanks ladies. I don't know if its good news. I guess it is that my uterus now looks normal but yes am worried about this early ov business. And if by fluke I did get a bfp this cycle I would be stressing no end re miscarriage because egg wasn't mature enough. I'm not sure there is a rule but I have read ov before cd 10 isn't ideal because eggs are less likely to have matured properly or your lining is too thin for implantation :(

I've done bloods for ov last cycle but just the 7 days before af one, not the early in cycle ones... Will be phoning up about those this pm.

Wow kp am impressed on the wine and caffeine front. Good going!

Looking forward to Friday and POAS day - it would be nice to go on holiday with some more good news from this thread... Hope more of you are having a better cycle than me! My boobs are killing me (this is a sign I've ovulated for me, not preggo) so trying not to jiggle about too much.

OP posts:
onelittlepiglet · 02/09/2013 14:40

Hi everyone.

Fedup - glad the scan went ok and there is nothing that they are concerned about. The early ovulation might just happen to be this month? Maybe it's a one off - it would be typical as it is the cycle you get scanned! Hope you enjoy your holiday and have a bit of break (despite AF possibly turning up halfway through!).

I'm in agony with cramping today - no positive opk yet so I've either missed my surge or didn't have one! Think it must be ovulation but no idea. Only DTD twice in the last 5/6 days so pretty sure that's it for me this month. Sad

fedupofrainydays · 02/09/2013 14:48

I just phoned up about my progesterone test that is normal so at least I'm ovulating / releasing an egg. Even if it is silly early. Hoping this is a one off cycle tho (had a ov on cd 9 couple of months ago) and I get back to cd 12.

one what cd are you? The month I was preggers with ds I had awful cramps 6 days before af... Realised this was most prob implantation. You prob missed the surge... This happened to my friend and she found out she was pregnant!!

OP posts:
onelittlepiglet · 02/09/2013 15:43

Ahh just got a positive opk so looks Ike I'm about to ovulate. The pains must be a sign for me that it's about to happen rather than is actually is at this moment. Right well got to DTD tonight then!

Fedup - I'm on cd15 and ovulated cd16 last month so the timing fits - just couldn't understand why I wasn't getting positive opks! Phew - getting one makes me feel better like something is working (even if it isn't!).

muzzy1 · 02/09/2013 16:43

glad your scan went well fedup. And good your pros levels are as they should be. That must be a relief. Maybe now whatever was there has gone it will be your month!
Good luck to all those POAS on Friday and def DTD tonight one.

Im having a nervous breakdown at my desk as been having cramps on and off all day and keep running to the loo expecting af.

pizzaqueen · 02/09/2013 17:40

fedup glad the test went well hooefully that'll remove some stress for you.

Can't namecheck everyone as I'm on my phone but hope you are all doing ok.

Cd 21 for me and im having cramps. Bit early for af. But don't think it's implantation either as I just don't have a lucky feeling about this cycle. Been much less of an obsessive nutjob this one though.

fedupofrainydays · 02/09/2013 17:54

Driving me nutty (no suprises there) as sonographer said I had probably ovulated due to free fluid but when I asked of she could see ruptured follicle she said no. So now I'm thinking it was one of those no ovulation cycles and just so happens the last cycle was when I had my bloods done, before this freaky short one. Bleurgh, this is all such a head fuck!!

OP posts:
fedupofrainydays · 02/09/2013 17:55

I should have added that free fluid can appear at any time in cycle so not necc ov related...

OP posts:
getagoldtoof · 02/09/2013 22:13

Argh, this whole ttc business is a massive headfuck. Sorry fedup, I wish I had a medical degree with a specialism in reproductive health - and I could dole out the answers to all my lovely nutter pals on this thread.

Pizza, how did you manage to keep calm about it all? Was there any particular reason? I am feeling a bit calmer after deciding a small-ish age gap isn't the be all and end all.

Muzzy, I remember that feeling well. Being scared to go to the loo etc, I hope it sticks and you're on your way to dc 2.

fedupofrainydays · 03/09/2013 08:04

Thanks geta. Just keep thinking of all the things I should have asked at scan. As its not every day you have an opportunity to check your innards out.

DH told me off last night for being negative and miserable. He says I'm so miserable at the mo and pessimistic about the whole ttc thing. I explained when your body goes through this shit every month it's so so tough.

Trying to snap out of it.. And look forward to my hols accepting af will arrive. I'm not bothering to take a preggo test as know there's no point. And will be stressing myself out when to PO my only S.

OP posts:
pizzaqueen · 03/09/2013 08:32

getagoldtoof I wouldn't describe my self as calm just slightly further down the nutjob scale.

I think because last cycle was my first after mc I just expected to get pg and we tired really hard on that cycle everyday. It kind of made me realise it might take a while and we haven't tried as hard this month so thinking it's not our month anyway. Cd 22 though so maybe the crazy symtom spotting will start soon.

Going on holiday next week too fedup and af due right in the middle Angry . I'm not going to take any tests with me so if I'm late i'll need to wait to poas and saves the temptation to poas early.

Liquidambar · 03/09/2013 10:34

fedup I hope you are feeling okay after talking to your DH. Men can be a bit insensitive sometimes, although they are trying to help they not always choose the best words.

pizza keep positive. It might be implantation. Fingers crossed!

one glad you had a positive opk and I hope you managed dtd last night and the swimmers are on their way Wink

I have realised I don't have any tests at home. Which one do you recommend, if we poas on Friday?

Liquidambar · 03/09/2013 10:47

Apologies if you have already seen this page , but I really like it. It makes me feel better about my poas addiction Grin

GandTnow · 03/09/2013 12:38

I just happened to drive to past Boots today Wink and got an early results first response - there were three in the pack instead of two - I think these ones are good and of course you can test early. Trying very hard not to take off the wrapper and start peeing away!

Think it might still be too early anyway...... humph.

GandTnow · 03/09/2013 12:44

Liquid Grin I haven't seen this before, made me smile! We are certainly not alone!

2beornot · 03/09/2013 14:46

OMG Liquid!! My name is 2be and I'm a peestickaholic!

Are you a Peestickaholic?

Know the warning signs.
Do you need an "eyeopener" - do you pee on a stick first thing in the morning?

Do you pee on sticks alone? Yes!

Do you have a stash of peesticks in your house that no one
knows about? Yes!

Has peeing on a stick ever interfered with your work or social life? Yes!

Have you ever lied about the number of peesticks you've used? Yes!

Do you often find yourself saying "just one more..." when faced with a BFN?Yes!

Do you seek out more and more sensitive peesticks, in an
attempt to get that second line?

Have you ever peed on a stick at work?Yes!

Does the pharmacist know you by name and gets down "your brand" before you even belly up to the counter?

Do you shop at multiple pharmacies or online so no one knows how many peesticks you are buying?Yes!

If you answered yes to any of these questions, you may be a peestickaholic. We don't have meetings, or any real medical advice for you... but we think you'll enjoy your stay at Peestick Paradise! Have fun!

2beornot · 03/09/2013 14:52

I've got a crappy sains one indoors, but I might pop out and get a first response over lunch on thurs (btw by "pop out" I mean a round trip of 13miles!)

I'm finding it hard to hold on though - I fear I may crack before then. I'm somewhere between 7 and 10 dpo atm.

GandTnow · 03/09/2013 15:02

I hear you 2be, feeling very negative today and fancy poas just to see, but I think I'm only about 7dpo. Having terrible cramps today and feeling sick and tearful, but pretty sure its all in my head.
Roll on Friday.

If you poas early you have to tell me, I'm ready to rock, but don't want to crack too soon Smile
