Still here, still ttc, still POAS, still symptom spotting, still counting days, still temping, still shagging and still absolutely nutty!!!

An advocate for my less is more theory! I got pregnant twice when only had sex 2 or 3 times that cycle. So why am I doing it 8 times now and getting no where?!
Back to the odd shag I think...

Well if the less is more theory is correct then I'm on to a winner this month!!!

Has a chat with DH yesterday which helped. It would seem that in my head we've been ttc since jan, but in his it's only been two cycles (due to mmc in the middle). So whilst I'm getting inpatient, he still thinks its early days. It helped to see each other pov. We talked about qhether using OPKs would help (less sex to avoid burn out, but the pressure is on when we do dtd!). I'll decide once AF turns up!

How do the rest if you find using OPKs? Useful or an obsessive pain in the arse?!

I use them. Helpful for me as ov does seem to vary and it means I POaS so appeases my addiction. I use the smiley or empty circles ones as less analysing lines or dealing with days of flashing faces. No idea if they are accurate but I'm continuing with them!

Glad you have got another bfp muzzy my line started off looking like the one in your pic so fx for you it will be a sticky one.

We also only dtd once at the right time last month so I can also add to the less is more theory.

As for the opk's. I used them and felt very reassured with them as at least then I was convinced I was actually ov. Got a +ve on the exact same day 3 months so it seemed that my body is pretty predictable. The month I fell pg I didn't use them though and it drove me mad wondering if I had even ov or not!

Cb digital from amazon. Pink ones. Not the dual hormone ones. Cost £30 a packet and that does me 2 cycles at least. So about 15 quid a month.

How is everyone? Congratulations Muzzy on your bfp :0) keeping fx that little bean sticks and all is ok :0)

Fedup, hopefully your scan will go well in Monday and I shall be lurking to see how you got on, hopefully it will clear up a few questions or thoughts you are having atm.

So is there a few if you due and possibly POAS over the weekend/beginning of the week? I shall keep my fx for you all! ! :0) x

Just popping on to say congrats Muzzy - I feel encouraged by your BFP! Interesting that you say using pre-seed was something different you did. I don't have much CM since having colposcopy/loop excision in May so I've bought some pre-seed ready for next cycle, hoping it might help things out! Into my 18th cycle argh x

Not much from me. Cd12, no positive opk yet but think it should be soon - feeling quite in the mood for DTD Blush just wish my inlaws weren't here! Have done it once so far but plan to do it tonight hopefully. Not going mad this month, just every other day if possible.

How is everyone? I have come back from my camping holiday where af arrived - ergh. No fun at all. Still, at least my cycles are back to normal.

2be, did you go to the aquarium? How was it?

Piglet have you managed to dtd much with inlaws about?

Baby in the corner, my cycles have been a bit odd since ds. How old is your first? I fbreastfed for a long time, too so think that slowed things down a bit!

Fedup you poor thing. Wish I could give you a cuddle - having clots on cd 5 sounds awful. Sounds like you know something isn't quite right. Hope you gets some answers.

Abi, glad to hear scan went well - I wouldbe very surprised if any of us nutters were well out with our dates!

Kpidgeon, do you think you might be having annovulatory cycles, then?

geta I hope not, will do opks religiously this month to see where I am. I was 7 days late last month and period was very very painful and this month I was 4 days late and wasn't too bad so I am hoping that it's my body getting back to normal after a late-ish miscarriage in May.

I had some good news yest. A close friend had an awful miscarriage at week 17 (horrible) back in March and has been TTC since. She is now pregnant and I'm thrilled for her. Gave me hope- like you muzzy!. I do hope yours sticks this time. The line would be faint this early on so don't worry about that.

I'm off into town in a minute and thought I might buy some evening primrose too. With the evening primrose- did someone say say you should only take it for the first two weeks? (stop after ovulation)? I think maybe you said that fedup? Just checking!

I'm also stopping the wine/booze totally this month and going caffeine free. Just want to feel like I'm doing something.

good morning ladies. I have a horrible trush Sad just what I needed on my two week wait. Went to the local pharmacy and they gave me some cream - canasten. I am having second thoughts on whether I should use it or not... any advice? I guess I'll have to. All my hopes for this month are gone.

Thanks for all the messages!.I just did another test and it was def a BFP but still faint....anyway like you say k it's still early days!im going to try and stop doing them now as its just going to stress me out and all i need to do is wait!

It was me about the evening primrose oil....only take from AF to ovulation each month. It's not good to take when pregnant.

I think I read that the topical and the pessary are fine but not the tablet liquid but do check. Poor you- could it be a symptom of TTC? I had a urine infection and I know fedup did too. Hope you feel better very soon.

Today I stocked up on conception vits, evening primrose oil capsules and pumpkin seeds for DH to bunch on (zinc!) Still got AF here but will start on the OPKs Monday I think.

I think Canesron cream is prob ok liquid. If worried and still itchy try naturel yoghurt - gross but supposed to work!! And won't go too far up to affect anything. Don't use soaps or bubble baths just wash with pure water and wear cotton pants. Take probiotics and it should clear up naturally. It's so horrible.

Ok so pos opk on cd 8. Too early for egg to have matured right? Thought it was coming though as loads of ewcm on cd 6. Forgot to opk yesterday so don't know if would have been pos then too. Bit upset about it all to be honest as a) too early and b) means will get af earlier into my two weeks hol c) means I'm too late in my cycle again for scan on Monday. Ugh.

thanks ladies. I've tried the cream yesterday and I'm slightly better but I will need another dose as I'm still uncomfortable and have a 3 hour flight back home this afternoon.

it seems a short cycle fedup. is your scan tomorrow? perhaps they will be able to see your ovaries and tell you if they can see any mature eggs.

Yeah it's tomorrow. They wanted me to come earlier in cycle though and now with this early ov it will be exactly same point! Stupid booking system meant i couldn't get cd 5.

Is everyone else taking folic acid? I've just realised I haven't been since mmc! I must start agian. Luckily I've got quite a few left from the prescription gp wrote last time (5mg coz I'm a fatty!).

It's quite refreshing not thinking I'm pregnant! I haven't been tempted to POAS at all yet - def going to hold out for the mass POAS on Fri!

Yeah am going anyway. Will miss next cycle cos on hols so just going to go. There was an 'area' they weren't sure what it was in uterus so I want to see of that's gone / grown/ whatever. I'm still a bit worried its left over stuff from mc but will see.

Hello all

Just read the title of this thread and it suits me to a T... ttc no 2 and yep I am a nutjob from the whole thing. I am awaiting a drs appointment for a blood result in 4 hours time to see if my cycle is back to normal and I can start IVF again and hopefully have my little baby growing within me in just over two weeks time or if I have another cyst and I have to wait a few more cycles. So I am on a knifes edge waiting and thought I might chat here to keep me sane in the meantime.

Yep we're all nutjobs here - it's crazy how obsessive it gets, isn't it?!

I really hope that you blood tests come back positive - would it really then only be two weeks? That's be amazing!!
