The smallprint - Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 3+months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot) and def no mention of baby dust or baby dancing UGH !!! Ooh we are strict...please note your house may be at risk if you do not keep up repayments lol

Cannot add myself onto list as haven't figured out how to copy n paste on iPad [incompetent face]

Also don't know what to say as we have been trying theoretically only since May but it has being going on for so much longer than that as we've been sorting out mess for DH ED so couldn't ttc before that. That only took about two years Hmm

I guess Revolting, aged 34 sob and ttc cycle 4 now.

CD 11 today so we are going to try tonight and CD 13 as DH can't manage too often as his ED mess give him raging headaches if he takes them too much. I am hoping by doing that we will hit the OV jackpot as it's normally around day thirteen.

Had a bizarre-o dream last night where DH said we'd try something different for ttc this mon and made me Belgian waffles for breakfast and then wanked all over them so I had to eat the jizzy waffles. It was my last chance of getting pg before we went for ivf Confused

Took DH out for breakfast when I woke up but told him he had to control himself around the baked goods..... Grin

RevoltingPeasant · 01/09/2013 19:05

Meds not mess.....

ladybunnikins · 01/09/2013 19:23

I've just had to tell my DH about that dream, it's brilliant!

Snorted at the jizz waffle dream! Must've been inspired by the jizz omelette/pancake chat!

Boodle, 30, cycle 26 in total and 2nd cycle on clomid. Not sure when AF due as LP usually 9 days but was 15 days on 1st clomid cycle.

Covered in spots today. Usually a tell-tale sign that PMS is gearing up with AF following shortly behind. If this is the case, it looks like luteal phase won't be up to much this month. Sad

BlindKitty · 01/09/2013 21:10

boodle don't give up just yet! Grin

PuppyMummy · 01/09/2013 21:45

Hi all. Not been on for a while. needed a break from increasingly irritating threads! (not u)!

Hav found out I hav high fsh and low amh levels, which r indicators of low ovarian reserve (old crap eggs in plain English)... can start ivf when we want but the results mean eggs may not be good enough to collect or if they r then not good enough to fertlise.

Waiting a cycle or two before starting as tbh the whole thing feels totally pointless!

sorry for miserable post but frankly its all a bit crap!

Bunnygirlie · 01/09/2013 21:57

Oh puppy i've been wondering where you were, hugs x

Boodle9 · 01/09/2013 22:14

Puppy, sorry you've had disappointing news. You'll be in good company here though as low amh seems to be coming up a lot at the moment. I've had mine tested too but not got the results back yet.

Boodle9 · 01/09/2013 22:15

Kitty, hope is fading fast! I tend to fling in the towel as soon as the spots come out; it feels like an inevitability!

BlindKitty · 01/09/2013 22:16

puppy that's rubbish Sad however, I've read loads of stories about people with low amh that went on to have perfectly healthy babies. Try not to be disheartened.

Bunnygirlie · 01/09/2013 22:35

Was chatting to my SiL today and found out it took them 2 years to concieve my nephew, maybe DHs family genes are crap Confused

yorkiebilb · 01/09/2013 23:17

Hi puppy sorry to read your update. Think there are a couple of us on here that have had rubbish fsh results suggesting low ovarian reserve. It's such a horrible, upsetting diagnosis but I have read of people conceiving with rubbish fsh/low amh levels which still gives me a glimmer of hope. I don't how long ago you got the results but it is a hell of a lot to take in and process so I'm not surprised you want to give it a little bit of time before moving onto IVF. Hope you've got people to talk to in real life and we're here if you want to rant/cry/chat as well xx

BlindKitty · 02/09/2013 07:02

bunny did your sil get any help in the end or was it a natural conception?

Bunnygirlie · 02/09/2013 08:28

kitty it was just a brief conversation to be honest and I didn't wanna ask to many questions in case it made it obvious we were trying too!

puppy i'm sorry you're struggling, that seems to be going around at the moment Thanks i hope taking time off helps clear your mind for whatever step is next for you. if there's anything that being involved in these threads has taught me, it's that we all are facing similar challenges and what looks bleak on a Monday might look a little brighter by a Wednesday or Thursday. Thanks

Well tonight's the big night for us, our private consultation / my hycosy/AFC scan Shock bricking it doesn't even begin to cover it; i feel like an alcoholic on her first night of AA meetings: by going, I'm admitting that there's a problem, and that is really scary! DH rather helpfully says he hopes there's a problem that gets discovered and fixed tonight. Like what, I don't know! Maybe my tubes are cobwebby and the hycosy can give them a good spring clean and put them back in working order Wink

Part of me wonders if discovering the cause of our issues is really that relevant - i'm 38, things need to get a move on. I'm not eager for IVF but neither do I feel we have the time to try naturally for another year. Is that defeatist, or just practical?

How have those of you who are having tests/embarking on IVF/IUI etc decided what clinic to use? I feel like that might be my project for tomorrow. Assuming I don't die in a fit of nervous giggles tonight as some strange man shoots dye up into my nether regions. but at least I will be dressed appropriately Wink

Pipbin · 02/09/2013 13:41

Sid will you not get NHS funded IVF? We were chose our clinic because it was the closest. The options were the original Bourne Hall in Cambridge or their off shoot in Colchester. We really wanted the Cambridge one but its an hour drive away and Colchester is about 20 minutes.

yorkiebilb · 02/09/2013 14:07

Hey sid

Will be thinking of you tonight. Let us know how you get on.

I'm still at testing phase with fc and fully expect to be sent for yet more tests when I go next week. However, I've already started looking at ivf clinics and where I'd want to go. I think I get a choice of about 5/6 where I live on NHS but it all depends on whether my fsh levels have gone any higher since last test. If they are over 15 then I won't be accepted for ivf funding on NHS and will have to go privately not sure where the money is going magic itself from I've been looking at places that are high fsh/low amh friendly for example, Lister hospital in London is known for having lots of expertise in that area. You might want to consider somewhere in your area that is low amh friendly too? Something to have a think about..

CatsCantFlyFast · 02/09/2013 14:08

Sid good luck for tonight, keep us posted
Pip am thinking of you x

happylass · 02/09/2013 16:25

Almost 4:30pm and this is the first time I've been on MN today! Work gets in the way of everything. All the best for your appointments Sid and Pip

Thundercatsarego · 02/09/2013 16:29

Good luck sid

Sorry about the difficult news puppy but you are totally in the right place here for wisdom and support. I think you have to go with how you're feeling- if you need a bit more time then take it!

PuppyMummy · 02/09/2013 17:19

Thanks for all the nice comments and support. It is crap! it was a bit surreal cos the appointment was 2 days before af so they dropped the diagnosis into the convrsation and then said so do u want to start ivf from this next cycle.

was totally too much to take in although pleasing there is no waiting list! so we r waiting a bit but will definitely do a cycle before Xmas.

good luck tonight, and to everyone else.
cd 5 here so a nice tv night and early to bed as back to work proper tomorrow!

ladybunnikins · 02/09/2013 18:09

Sorry to hear your news Puppy but good that you're able to get on with treatment quickly
Good luck Sid! I'm having my first IVF cycle in the clinic linked to a university hospital (something I've heard that Robert Winston recommends doing). It's where we've had our NHS investigations and it's also relatively cheap, I think we've paid about £3400 which includes drugs. There is another place a similar distance away which looks like it has better results, but they also have a much higher number of multiple births so they are probably putting 2 embryos back more often.
CD2 and I got my antral follicle count scan today - 19, which I think is reasonable. 14 on left ovary and 5 on right, my left tube is the one that is probably blocked so maybe this helps explain our problems? Due to start downregging on CD24. Feeling more positive than yesterday!

ladybunnikins · 02/09/2013 18:12

Sid, this is what I used for looking at IVF clinics initially
guide.hfea.gov.uk/guide/

BlindKitty · 02/09/2013 18:50

puppy I wasn't given a choice! Had all my tests at this hospital so just moved to iui (ivf after 2 more cycles if iuis not successful). Know people look at success rates etc though. Good luck

pip thinking of you bud. Let us know how it goes

Well afraid the symptom spotting has started already Hmm even though I wouldn't have implanted yet! (6dpo) someone wang me!!!!
