The smallprint - Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 3+months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot) and def no mention of baby dust or baby dancing UGH !!! Ooh we are strict...please note your house may be at risk if you do not keep up repayments lol

Morning all,

Hope everyone is okay today. rum sorry to hear about your fsh levels. I know it can be a bit of a shock from experience so let me know if you want to chat about it as I've researched it to death! When's your next appt?

lady laughed at the name baby blah blah! I think it has a nice ring to it.

charming hope you had nice hols but sorry AF arrived

kitty nice of you to check on your mate despite your frustrations over the fb announcement.

I emailed my friend back this morning to say congratulations and glad to hear all is well. I refuse to send a response to a foetus though and wouldn't have done even before we were ttc. To be fair to my friend she responded within 5 mins saying she'd been dreading telling me and to call her when im ready to talk, we don't have to talk about the pg stuff she just wants to check I'm okay. Such a nice message. Yes I wish she'd sent that in the first place but I guess at least she has.

What's everyone up to today?

BlindKitty · 01/09/2013 11:28

yorkie yep think I've left it long enough and I was being silly. Think you should put your friend's email down to stupidity and forgive her.

Currently trying to persuade Dh to come for a walk (for uterine blood circulation properties as I've given up exercise for the 2ww). How about you?

ladybunnikins · 01/09/2013 11:29

AF has arrived for me today, had a little cry that I didn't get a pre-IVF BFP.
Just tried phoning the IVF clinic to book a day 2-4 scan but no answer, left a message and I hope they have someone there who will get back to me today. Work-wise, the next 3 days aren't ideal for taking time off but at least if I could get it for tomorrow then there would be someone free to cover me.
Just psyching myself up for the visit today to friends with new baby (who got married after us). Dreading it, hoping we can keep it short.

Bunnygirlie · 01/09/2013 11:35

Morning. I have a headache, too much prosecco last night! Did somebody mention bacon sarnies?

Welcome back rum sorry about your test results and wow on the holiday achievements!

RP what a lovely sensitive way to tell somebody who is struggling

Welcome back charming boo to AF

Sorry she got you too lady hugs and Flowers

I will, thanks kitty I'm still in bed after a busy weekend driving all over the place. Going to relax today I think.

lady so sorry AF got you. Sod's law it falls on the day you're off to visit your friends baby. Come on here and rant to us afterwards if you need to. Hope you manage to get an appt booked soon - a plan of action always makes me feel a bit better.

Boodle9 · 01/09/2013 12:51

Lady, sorry about your AF. I hope the clinic are able to get you in for tomorrow.

Mmmmm...prosecco. I haven't had a drink for a while but I do love prosecco!

Last day of (relative) freedom today. Back to school tomorrow and will no doubt come away with a to do list as long as my arm. Meh.

Bunnygirlie · 01/09/2013 13:18

New list time!!!

Bunny - cycle 15, AF due sometime after 9/9, first FC appt mid sept

funkymonk · 01/09/2013 13:22

yorkie I'm also with thunder et al in that it was a dumbass way to tell you. I appreciate it would he hard for her to tell you but that was quite possibly one of the worst ways to do it.
kitty I'm totalled with you on watching The Gimpfactor. Love it, but hate it at same time.
bunny I'm in 2ww. 8dpo here and avoided pimping this morning. My 2ww is really only 1 1/2ww. That's what I blame the early mc on. Vit b6 hopefully to the rescue this month though if its had any effect and lengthens luteal phase then I'll get ridiculously excited that I might be diffed only for af to then arrive.
rum hope you had good hol :-)
rp that was a good way to tell your sis about pregnancy. barking you could do the same with your friend? I have a friend who has been ttc one month less than me and we have a deal that we'll tell each other if/when it happens. If/when it happens to me if I'm the first then it will be tough but I'd plan to do it the same as rp's sister experienced.
Any bacon sarnies left kitty? I've not even had breakfast yet as been busy dogging (thats walking, feeding, playing with the puppy, not dogging in any other sense)

BlindKitty · 01/09/2013 13:22

lady that's rubbish Sad but at least you can start your ivf now. Hoping for a decent thickness of uterus for tomorrow! Terrible timing if your af with your visit although who knows, maybe your uterus will realise it would be a good place to a baby when you're holding the newborn? Let us know how tomorrow goes?

bunny mmm prosecco, what I'd give for a glass! Although the alcohol free wine I was drinking last night tastes just as good Hmm

funkymonk · 01/09/2013 13:25

Sorry I missed all of page 37 when I replied. I only got as far as 36 for some reason. Will catch up now.

funkymonk · 01/09/2013 13:27

Thanks funky. I went see my gp in April which is only 4 months after mmc and she agreed to carry out tests so yours might do the same. I think my age may have been taken into account though (35). I guess it depends on the gp you get.

Bunnygirlie · 01/09/2013 14:53

Lol funky perhaps you should change your name to funkydogger!?!

kitty I do love a list! I also have a bad memory and can't keep track of who is where on this hideous journey Wink

Hello berries, I hope everybody is having a good weekend.

Charming, Lady sorry AFs come to get you both Sad.

CD23 here, AF due later this week, had pretty regular 26 day cycles for a while, but they seem to be lengthening now, not sure it that is a good or bad thing Confused. I'm generally feeling frustrated, although this is usual for me in the second week of the two week wait, trying to balance optimism with realism and waiting for disappointment. It being September also seems a bit unreal, where has the year gone?

We were out last night with DHs colleagues, the kind of time when I could really do with a drink, but somehow managed to get through the evening on a single bellini! Wouldn't mind a nice prosecco session though Wink.

BlindKitty · 01/09/2013 17:48

pip what's the next step with the ivf? Will they do anything differently next time? Fab that you get 3 goes at it, most areas only get 1!

SidneyBristow · 01/09/2013 18:05

Sorry to those who have had AF pay a visit Sad . Yorkie I agree with everyone else, that was a horrifying way to break the pg news to you, almost as though she could feel disaster looming and so chose the most hideous way possible to present it. FWIW I think you handled it well, and glad she didn't continue with impersonating a fetus Hmm. Babytalk is bad enough, fetus-talk is just not on!!

DH & I have had a lovely lazy weekend and am now trying to steel myself for the dreaded FC appt which is tomorrow night. My mojo has been thrown off due to the upsetting (yet shouldn't have been surprising) AMH result so now am not going into it confident that all that's wrong with us is a dwindling supply of patience.

adding myself to the list:

yorkiebilb · 01/09/2013 18:35

Hey sid glad to hear you've had a nice relaxing weekend. Just wanted to say all the best for your appt tomorrow night. Let us know how you get on. Fx for you

ladybunnikins · 01/09/2013 19:01

Urgh, that moment when fertility friend resets the chart for a new cycle.

Survived the baby visit, the parents were OK, didn't mention our problems. I didn't have to hold the baby and the mother didn't BF in front of me. Not managed to get hold of the IVF clinic today, they have an emergency mobile number but I guess this is just for people with OHSS, so will have to phone them in the morning.
