I used to temp.. Then I stopped cos it was too much hard work!
Feel like starting again but dunno if I can be bothered!!!!

I tried to start temping again this cycle but I never remember when my alarm goes off.

My plan this month is to continue with opks and also do SMEP.

I was planning not to do opks at all if pos....but I reckon if sept isn't my month I might give it a go if I my cycle is irregular. Not gona do temping.....well I say that now...but perhaps down the line ill try anything!!

mama I used opks from day one and glad I am because this month's 'surprise' arrival of AF has shown me that my cycle isn't settled and may not be for a while.

I'm a primary school teacher too, quite a few on here by the looks of things. I'm going to set up as a childminder soon though so I can spend time at home :)

I can't believe my mum's bloody attempts to say something supportive. I know I'm hormonal and emotional right now but I told her I'm sad about AF arriving and she said, Aww why don't you stop ttc for a few months and save up some money instead. She's been going on for years about wanting grandchildren! Argh!

Hmm,I just told her that and she said she doesn't like it when I'm upset so she thought she'd suggest I take a few months to financially prepare for parenthood because she couldn't bear to see me upset every month and perhaps putting off ttc for a while would help me deal with it better.

I just told her I'm hormonal and just need people to say there there, it'll be alright in the end ;)

I have told her that me and hubby have decided to delay TTC for at least 6 months so at least it has shut her up! I do kind of feel bad for out rightly lying to her though!!

FX for everyone! Are there many testers at the beginning of September?

We aren't going to tell anyone until we have had the results of the NT test, so potentially not until about 14 weeks along. At least it will be a nice surprise for her

It's a test they do at the 12 week scan to calculate the risk of Downs Syndrome. When the results come back and the pregnancy is high risk the woman can then decide whether to have more invasive testing to find out for definite x
