Same here. It's going to be hard to have the discipline to do so though.

CoffeeGuzzler · 27/08/2013 10:37

Morning all.

Gilly and VJ, Flowers. Have a cry and a drink. September will be better hopefully.

My fourth day of flashing smiley. Also, (tmi alert) I never get any ewcm unless I am aroused. It's always a thin watery consistency. Beginning to doubt my ovulating abilities.

VJONES1985 · 27/08/2013 10:39

Coffeguzzler The stuff that comes out when aroused is arousal fluid, which is more watery than ewcm. Some women get hardly any ewcm so don't lose heart.

CoffeeGuzzler · 27/08/2013 10:53

VJ thanks for the info. Ttc is so stressful. Envy these women who seem to have five children all accidentally! How do they do it?

VJONES1985 · 27/08/2013 10:56

I know, it's depressing me already and it's only been three weeks.

mama31 · 27/08/2013 11:09

Hello ladies!! Congrats nanny!:) And sorry to those who AF has hunted down!! :( but keep your spirits up! September bus is a good positive place for you to be :)

Well had a nice long wkend but slightly annoyed that didn't dtd fri or sun as (hubby was in moody form and that put me off fully) but we did manage to dtd sat X1 and mon X2 and apparently (I think, not certain) my ovulation day was sun/mon. So we shall see....

Defo not testing too early this time!!! Waiting it out as late as I can! Good luck everyone and welcome to my obsessive compulsive behaviour over the next 2 wks :/

DisneyDiva87 · 27/08/2013 13:03

I can live with being selfish Gilly Grin

I never get much EWCM either so I'm hoping it isn't a problem.

I'm trying to decide if the pain in my boobs is different to previous months, its definitely a full/heavy feeling rather than pain but the pain may come...

Having cramps, AF due Friday Sad. Can I reserve my place on the bus?

Ttc#2 cycle 6 BFP due 28th September

Fml. Why isn't this easier?

VJONES1985 · 27/08/2013 13:28

For those without much ewcm, you could try Preseed?

CoffeeGuzzler · 27/08/2013 13:59

Welcome aboard Fifi. Smile

VJ, I just ordered preseed. Many good things about it on the net.

Disney, While ewcm is not necessary to conceive, it's certainly helpful.

It's only my first month ttc and I am already worried about so many things. Why can't I have more confidence in my body's ability to reproduce? It is the natural course of things after all! Does everyone get like this?

VJONES1985 · 27/08/2013 14:04

Coffeeguzzler I'm exactly the same. Convinced that it won't just happen and that it's not gonna go smoothly. Getting AF so early this month has only added to my worry.

By the way,how much is Preseed?

mrsmummytobe · 27/08/2013 14:08

Coffeeguzzler and VJ, I am exactly the same! Convinced it won't happen for me or that something is wrong! I've been really bad today actually symptom spotting - I am on my 2ww, although I think it will be longer than 2 weeks as my periods are so irregular atm.

jaykay987 · 27/08/2013 14:08

Coffee - I feel the same. Not sure if its normal or not, but I feel it often!

I'm starting to worry the odds of conceiving are reducing by lots of little factors so this might take forever, even if neither of us have any problems (which we don't yet know).

I've been terrified of getting pregnant for 16 years. And now I find out its not going to happen first time (or possibly second time, or third time!).

I just keep wondering why we left it so long. Why oh why didn't we start trying years ago??! So frustrating. I feel like we are getting punished for waiting until our lives could financially and emotionally be best for a baby! (Sorry - ttc seems to make me a little dramatic! Grin)

DisneyDiva87 · 27/08/2013 14:10

(TMI WARNING) When I say I don't get much EWCM I mean nothing really ends up in my pants, I've never tried sticking my finger up there to see if there is much where it is needed Grin (I feel like such a classy bird saying that...)

Jaykay I often remind myself to be realistic though - women get pregnant all the time, when they might be overweight, have a crap diet, be stressed or not totally healthy. It has happened that way for millions of years. I really do think I need to relax more this month and just dtd as much as we can but not to order.

wispaxmas · 27/08/2013 14:13

Coffee, I feel like everyone gets worried if it doesn't happen right away. Even though we've been trying for 3 months, but not seriously until now. And I mean serious in that I've downloaded the FF app, bought a thermometer and a pack of OPKs and I'm determined to make september my month. Since I know I wasn't doing everything I could in the past 3 months I don't feel so bad about it yet, but f it doesn't happen in september I might shed a few tears :(

CoffeeGuzzler · 27/08/2013 14:22

VJ- Pre-seed from amazon is 14.99. A couple of pounds extra for the full fertility pack i.e 5 (i think) pg tests.

Mummytobe- 2ww must be especially hard.

Jaykay, I am 30, dh is 29. Intially, he wanted to wait until xmas this year to ttc. But I just put on my best dollface and convinced him to start earlier. The promise of endless sex is all it takes for him. Grin I spent 12 years terrified of getting pregnant. Nobody tells you that it's actually easier to not be pregnant than the other way around!

VJONES1985 · 27/08/2013 14:22

wispa we did everything we could this month and it didn't work. You've hit the nail on the head :(

DisneyDiva87 · 27/08/2013 14:25

I'm feeling more at ease about TTC now I've been at it a few months, I think being on here and seeing that other women aren't getting up duffed the first time they have sex on their first cycle helps. Plus some of you ladies have had it far worse than me with your 40, 50, 60+ day cycles. Plus you see that a lot of women do get pregnant each month and it'll be your turn eventually.

I'm starting to go mad with the symptom spotting and I'm trying not to. I'm really thirsty today and I've nearly drank 2 litres of water plus a coffee when I normally only drink 1 litre water, it could just be that it is warmer today though.

OP posts:
CoffeeGuzzler · 27/08/2013 14:26

Disney - Same with me re. ewcm. Never stuck my fingers up myself...so not sure of anything. Oh I find it very hard to keep clutching my pearls while discussing the many facets of conceiving.

DisneyDiva87 · 27/08/2013 14:32

I know, I think it gets to the point where you just have to throw in the towel and accept that you need to talk about the icky and sticky bits or at least there is no point beating around the bush about it.

OP posts:
mrsmummytobe · 27/08/2013 14:33

disney I'm exactly the same, driving myself insane with symptom spotting when I'm sure I'm imagining half of them! I do think ttc is something that can't hurried - the right time will come for each of us and hopefully this will be a lucky month! Fx for all of us :)

wispaxmas · 27/08/2013 14:35

Yes VJ, but the difference is that when coming off the pill there's only so much you CAN do and usually you have to wait for your body to normalise, so in that sense there's no need to worry that there's something wrong if it doesn't happen, even if you've done everything else right.

I've not been on the pill in 8 years, so there's no issue with letting my cycle get back to normal - it's a very steady 28 days. There's shouldn't be any reason we shouldn't be conceiving so long as we keep track of the right times of the cycle and all that. So if month after month passes now and I temp and use opks and still nothing, then rather than having the 'oh, it can take 7 months to get over being on bc,' I'll just be left with the horrible worry that there's something medically wrong with either me for my husband...

VJONES1985 · 27/08/2013 14:38

But remember - 80% of couples under 35 conceive within a year so you don't have to worry until the 12 month point. And even then, there are often simple things that can be done to help.
