hi cupcake..I know the feeling, AF arrived a day late last month and I was so anxious and hopeful! Was nipping to the loo every hour at work to "check" if AF arrived!!! Sorry TMI. I got myself so worked up that started feeling sick and then convinced myself that surely I was pregnant!
Trying to tone it down this month and not jump to conclusions if AF arrived a day late, as that it now normal for me apparently Hmm. Think would be best to test a day or two before AF to kill the suspense!! Grin
Do you know when you will ovulate?

ChubbyKitty · 25/08/2013 22:59

I've been very nauseous all day, particularly while doing my food shopping.

That could have just been the supermarket thoughWink

internationallove985 · 25/08/2013 23:04

This doesn't normally happen due our circumstances but I've got a few hours spare tommorow as D.D is staying out and also with it being bank holiday.
So I've just called him and he's coming over for a few hours of D.T.D. He wont stay over though due to work the next day.
So it looks like it will be a baby making or (practicing) bank holiday for me. xx

Kemie · 26/08/2013 00:37

Boobs are even sorer tonight! I have a theory that it may be related to increasing B6 from 50 to 100 this month, therefore making it progesterone related. With 9 days to go still I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much! Hmm

CoffeeGuzzler · 26/08/2013 07:55

Hello all.

I got my third day of flashing smiley today on clearblue digital opk. Has this happened to anyone else? The instructions say it's supposed to be two days flashing followed by two days solid. Confused.

PurpleGeekyGirl · 26/08/2013 08:11

Coffee I've had that a few times it did eventually turn into a solid smiley much to dps relief! This cycle I went straight from a circle to a fixed smiley with no flashing one which confused me the first time that happened too but I rang the helpline and they said that was normal too.

onelifeonechance · 26/08/2013 09:08

Morning all and hi leezl sorry to see you on here but got a good feeling about the September bus, fingers crossed for you Smile

And hello to everyone else who's joined that I've missed, the list is getting long, presuming the bus is a double decker or at least a long bendy one. Its almost our month...next stop BFPville toot toot! Grin

mrsmummytobe · 26/08/2013 09:36

Has anyone else had problems with irregular periods since coming off the pill? I came off the pill in March & we started trying in April a month later. My periods were fairly regular at first (28-32 days) then 2 months ago I had a 42 day cycle then after that a 17 day cycle!! This month I'm on cd 22 but no idea when to test & if it will be a normal cycle. I wish I had come off the pill a year ago to give my body more time to adjust.

DisneyDiva87 · 26/08/2013 10:21

I'm down to the last 7 days before AF is due, no dreams that I remember last night, kinda sore boobs when I went to bed but that may have been the bra or the fact that I was running with the dog without proper support or it could just be that the bleeding bitch is on her way with the red tide of doom!!

I'm kind of in a funny place though, that idiot I married hubby told his parents (and half the countryside) that we are trying even though I didn't want anyone knowing; he says he didn't know I didn't want anyone knowing. So I'm quite happy to not be pregnant as I don't want anyone knowing and I hate those smug little comments you get just cause you say or do something that could be misconstrued to mean you are pregnant. Makes me want to stop TTC, which is just stupid!

Well without giving tmi, we're being much better at TTC this month (not being in tents in South Africa helps!), but still being relatively relaxed. If no BFP this month will start on the ovulation tests. Trying to be less stressy this month and avoid symptom spotting. I've ducked out of going to a beer festival next week (a lovely one at a railway museum) as I don't want to make anything obvious. Fortunately only social events coming up are with people from my gym where not drinking is a lot more normal!
Fingers crossed for everyone!

Cupcake1985 · 26/08/2013 10:47

I'm not really sure coco808 I didn't pay attention last month as we were on holiday but according to the Internet calculators around the 4 sep. I have a few opk sticks so get to try them this month. What about you have you got your head around calculating everything? It is exciting you can't help getting carried away Grin but we shall have to try and relax or we'll be exhausted by the time it happens! Haha. X

SuzB83 · 26/08/2013 10:52

mrsmummytobe, yeah I've had the same problem. Came off the pill in January and started TTC properly in February. was fairly regular for first 3 months and since have been all over the place. Last month was 40 days, had totally convinced myself was pregnant then AF reared her ugly head Sad. makes it so hard to know when to test. I'm slap bang in the middle of what I think is the 2ww and already driving myself crazy! Hoping this week goes quickly.

mrsmummytobe · 26/08/2013 11:00

Hi Suz, it's so nice to hear someone else is in a similar position! I went to the doctor & she has booked me in for a blood test to check my fertility levels (I'm having it tomorrow morning). It is meant to be done on cd21 of a 28 day cycle but as my periods are so irregular I've got no idea if if will be accurate. I do just think it's my body settling down after being on the pill for so long though :( Let's hope Sept is our month :)

ChubbyKitty · 26/08/2013 11:07

Mrs yes!

Thought I was settling down nicely, 38 day cycle, then a 30 day cycle, then AF lasted almost a month and I'm now in cd...40-odd? Of course that's messed up all the calendars in my apps, one tells me I'm 18 days late the other insists I always have a 46 day cycle.

Hooray for technology!

Got a bit of a boaky feeling in my throat but I just gassed the whole upstairs with flea spray so it's probably that seeping through the living room ceiling.

englishteacher78 · 26/08/2013 11:09

AF for a month! Wow!

mrsmummytobe · 26/08/2013 11:12

How long have you been off the pill for chubby? Let's hope we get back to regular cycles soon (or even better just get bfps!! :) )

ChubbyKitty · 26/08/2013 11:16

Since April. There was a whole horrible thing in may though so me and DP didn't dtd for the rest of may and all of June though as I couldn't have dealt with getting pregnant as well so I discounted those months an just kept an eye on my cycle iyswim?

I see absolutely no good reason for bleeding for a month. I should write a formal complaint to Mother Nature.

Nulanoo · 26/08/2013 11:20

Morning everyone :) how's everyone's bank holiday going? I'm going symptom spotting crazy! Think I ovulated last weekend since then I've had some cramping, sharp pains 1 day of ewcm on Friday (had lots the weekend which is why I thought I'd ov'd) nausea and diarrhea (sorry way tmi!!) and very veiny boobs. Am I just imagining because I want it so much?!? Only came off the pill end of July so it's all new to us! Xx

DisneyDiva87 · 26/08/2013 11:23

I possibly have a pg symptom (either that or a weird tummy bug, time will tell!) without giving TMI I'm finding my toilet habits are going from constipation to 'free-flowing'. I'm feeling a bit crampy now so I don't know if that is tummy related which would explain some of it or if it is maybe implantation cramps? I'm about 8-9dpo that's not too late for implantation is it?

OP posts:
englishteacher78 · 26/08/2013 11:48

Could all be normal monthly symptoms though. That's what I hate about all this - what you think could be pregnancy signs could also be a sign AF is on the way. Rubbish and unfair.
That said, here's hoping it's the lead up to a BFP Smile

ChubbyKitty · 26/08/2013 11:49

Disney I love 'free-flowing' as a description Grin

I am putting my bloatedness down to the pizza I destroyed last night. I'm worried about getting my hopes up too much.

Nulanoo · 26/08/2013 11:51

I know it's all very confusing and seems to be consuming my every thought! I need to do something to take my mind off it all! I should be tidying and cleaning but I'm contemplating driving to wagamamas!x

flame40s · 26/08/2013 11:55

Had a nice honest and open convo with oh on friday night to ease the dtd pressures and pleased to say it worked.

We have dtd 3 times since but I think we missed our peak time as temps suggest I ov on thursday but I think it was friday. Not expecting a positive on my bfp on 9th so nice and chilled now in my 2ww.

Going on hols to spain on 3rd Sep and bfp due smack bang in the middle!! Breasts feeling sore and had a bad dream last night set in wartime. Had a gun but was too scared to shoot!! Wtf!!

Good luck everyone the bus is getting very full x

wispaxmas · 26/08/2013 11:57

Everything I've read would suggest that if you have irregular cycles using opks can help make more sense of them, as the luteal phase is usually a set period of time. I think I would definitely have tried them if my cycles weren't regular to within a day each time. Birth control does wacky things to your body, though, and the stress of ttc can't help things, as it can throw hormones out of wack and can delay ovulation. I have no idea how its possible to have a month long bleed, that just sounds horrendous! Thanks

DisneyDiva87 · 26/08/2013 12:03

Ha Chubby glad you appreciated it! Thought that was the most lady like way to describe it Grin

I'll keep my fingers crossed and maybe I'll test again this weekend
