I'm feeling super positive this month too! FX for us all!

I'm also happy I think I'll ovulate Tuesday or Wednesday so the long weekend is prime time. So much easier as our evenings are non existent after getting in from work!

(I must stop lerching in the baby name section! I always do that when Im feeling upbeat!Grin)

keepswimming1 · 20/08/2013 13:24

So I'm pretty sure I have just ovulated (yesterday) and was wondering why do I seem to feel like crap while its happening, evening now I have stomach pains, feel sick, and feeling extremely hot. anyone know why or how I can calm these symptoms down?
Good luck everyone :)

mama31 · 20/08/2013 13:36

Ps my hubby on the other hand is ready to go any given moment!!!! Wish I had the stamina lol

snoozysleeper · 20/08/2013 14:24

Wow the positivity on this thread is great!!

Since I've come off the implant I've re-discovered my sex drive Smile so there's a plus side to all this stress too... Seriously I don't think I'll ever go back on it...although struggling with terrible AF ATM

keepswimming great name btw, totally unscientific advice but I always find a cup of peppermint tea settles my tum and nausea

DisneyDiva87 · 20/08/2013 14:40

Me too snoozy although I was just on the pill, hubby however has been put on tablets since I stopped taking the pill that not only have wiped out his sex drive but that have almost made any sort of attempt at DTD impossible (we've done it twice this month) it's driving me crazy and leaving me very frustrated!

OP posts:
DisneyDiva87 · 20/08/2013 14:42

I have bad bloating really low down, it feels like there is air in my bladder or my uterus, it's painful and uncomfortable.

It is NOT a pg symptom, I repeat, it is NOT a pg symptom, it is NOT a pg symptom...

If I say it enough maybe I'll believe it

OP posts:
CoffeeGuzzler · 20/08/2013 14:48

jaykay I am a lurker in the babyname section too! Really need to slap myself down sometimes. Due to ovulate tuesday/wednesday as well. Roll on long weekend in France. Hubby is going to have to beg me to stop. Ha!

keepswimming Kmiddy was rumoured to find lavender shortbread helpful for nausea. Just saying. A cool shower maybe?

mama31 · 20/08/2013 14:50

Didn't mean to post twice earlier whoops!!! Disney awh hope ur hubby gets off those tablets soon!

Snoozy I also agree with peppermint tea, defo cures a poorly tum/digestive system!

Keepswimming, get to work on ur man at this vital time!!!

keepswimming1 · 20/08/2013 14:53

DISNEY -I've got the bloating too, in fact its so bad that I cant put some jeans on!! I've also got a really achy lower back. feeling very uncomfortable at the minute

Its drives me insane... why do we have to get all these symptom... its not fair!!!

keepswimming1 · 20/08/2013 14:57

I'm going to go and buy some tonight to see if it help.. thanks
My hubby is away, he left on Friday, dtd then, but I'm not holding out much hope for a bfp this month (hes now away for 8weeks) gutted!

which means you ladies have to get the BFP this month :)

DisneyDiva87 · 20/08/2013 14:59

I hope I get my bfp this month, if not then hubby is DEFINITELY coming off those tablets [rage face]

OP posts:
ChubbyKitty · 20/08/2013 15:14

Disney I've had that this morning... I ate a lot of junk over the weekend though...

keepswimming1 · 20/08/2013 15:20

Disney - I hope you get it as well :)
how long have you guys been trying? Do you already have any?
I like to be nosey...sorry.

I came of the pill in may. stupidily thought I'd be pregnant now lol
I have now come to turns that it could be a while esp since hubby has just landed a 8 weeks away 4 weeks home job, on the plus side we are going to book a nice holiday on his return :)

ThoraNomiki · 20/08/2013 15:29

Right time to jump on the bus. AF is on her way out, I think, having arrived in style while I was on holiday. Boohoo Sad Angry

Judging by previous cycles I probably won't Ov until October but in the name of wishful thinking I might just ride this bus too for a while see how it goes. I'll mostly lurk, as usual, but randomly post to rant a little bit now and then.
I'm going to start taking Soy Isoflavones today and for the next 4 days to see if they can help shorten my cycle a bit.
We have to stop trying at the end of September due to commitments in July next year so I'm really hoping to boost my chances a little this cycle.

Disney I hope your DH can come off those tablets soon. It's so frustrating not being able to DTD regularly but even more so knowing that there is such a small window of opportunity each month!
Snoozysleeper I feel the same since having the implant out - my libido rocketed! I will not go back on hormonal BC if I ever manage to have another baby. I also worry that it's completed messed me up. I'm sure my cycles before having DD were normal-ish (though I never took much notice).

That's ok Swimming I don't mind Grin

I came off the pill in May as well! so not been trying for too long but the tablets are getting in the way so technically we aren't really trying at all cause we hardly ever DTD within the right time frame and no I don't have any kds yet but I sooooooooooooooooooooo want one.

Possibly my bloating is due to overindulgence at the weekend Sad

OP posts:
keepswimming1 · 20/08/2013 16:56

Yea I understand how you feel, my oh is away alot and like this week left the country before I ovulated :(
I feel like all I can think of is babies, I'm also trying for no 1 :)

PurpleGeekyGirl · 20/08/2013 17:14

charleslingus waves! I'm using cb opks again this cycle. It gave me a circle today but I have loads of what looks and feels like ewcm, weird... It was dead right last cycle tho, and meant I wasn't hopping mad when I was 2 days later than expected with AF as it was bang on 14 days after I ov'd so good to know my body is working in some respects...

And yes choccy , I do miss my boy so much when he's away. His dad lives nearly 200 miles from us so it makes sense to do it this way and it's more settled for him, but as I have him most of the time it's very weird when he's not about. We've crammed so much in to these weeks tho to make up for being child free.

Trying to decide between climbing Snowdon or Scafell at the weekend. Can't make our minds up where to go as the weather is going to be pretty similar at both and it'll probably be our last camping trip of the year. And cos I'm gonna finally get my BFP I want baby conceived in a tent in a stunning location Wink

jaykay987 · 20/08/2013 17:18

So, does everyone get AF 14 days after ov, or is that the ideal? I understand if it was really short, the egg/sperm wouldn't necessarily have enough time to do their thing, so that might be an issue, but mines seems to be 13days. Is this a problem?

V jealous of the trips/holidays everyone is talking about!

snoozysleeper · 20/08/2013 17:53

disney I understand how your feeling, I hope your hubby doesn't stay on those tablets for too long...

And thora welcome, I actually thought there was something wrong with me my sex drive was so low when on implant but now I see it was actually the implant Confused glad to discover I'm relatively normal now, they say your fertility returns straight away but I'm not convinced-it took 55 days for my first AF to show up!!

jaykay I think the normal is 14 days after but that's just an average so it is variable, I don't think 13 days would be significant...

snoozysleeper · 20/08/2013 20:08

Ps purplegeeky I vote for snowden, so many good memories there!

flame40s · 20/08/2013 20:42

Trying to stay positive even though I still havent had any confirmation that I have ovulated.. I know I have as I could run big ben by my clock...!

Dtd last night... long session... very sore.

Struggling to get my head around temps but loving all your posts ladies :)

ChubbyKitty · 20/08/2013 21:09

Heh, I came off in April.

My friend I mentioned has been at it for 18 monthsSad

WillowsTree · 20/08/2013 21:20

Hi all. Haven't checked in for a while. Still haven't had my first af after my mirena was removed and getting so sick of waiting. When I got it removed first time I was already pg with dd by now...my body is obviously broken! So its been 37 days since removal and 35 since start of breakthrough bleed. Hope I get some sort of stats to report before the October bus is in session Smile

CoffeeGuzzler · 20/08/2013 21:21

jaykay 14 days after ov, while is considered normal, is not true for a lot of women. I wouldn't worry about 13 days.

purple I vote for snowdon.
