Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share and with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo;

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce in other posters).

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

The link to Part 14 is here

The link to the latest grads thread is here

Happy shagging shaggers!

Hi Kitkat! Welcome to the mad house/cave! Don't think any of us cope all that well with the 2ww.

Choc I have no idea I'm afraid. Though I remember reading somewhere once you are more likely to have a boy if you eat lots of breakfast cereal because its fortified with boy making vits and mins or something.

Hello Kit! Nice to know you were sharing with us all on the last Fred even though we didn't know it. Are there others out there? come on out! We don't bite. Promise!

There's been 2 BFPs on another Fred I'm on ATM which is amazing. The most recent was someone who's been Ttc for quite a while I think. I'm so pleased for them both and it's also given me a bit of hope. Smile

So there is BFP action going on. It must just be spread around the different freds.if I join as many as I can, maybe one will get me!

Errr, I also meant to ask, , can anyone of Cookie explain the Fred title to me? I really like it, but I don't know if it refers to a song or film or something? I'm not very 'with it' do I wouldn't know. Blush

Since you promised not to bite, I'll say hello. Smile

DH and I have only started TTC since late June, so we're experiencing the first 2ww now.
The original plan was just lots of dtd and when ERTD is late, then POAS.
I'm now 11dpo and I've not had any symptoms (but then from what I've read around here, quite a few people don't get any symptoms). I'm trying to stay relaxed about it all since it's the first month and we were a bit late starting, so I'm going to try to wait to POAS until ERTD is at least 5 days late = a week tomorrow.

That's what I'm telling myself. I'll try.

Choc Yes, there's a theory that boy sperm are fast but die quickly so having sex near time of ov makes a boy more likely and girl sperm live longer and swim slower. However that study was I only correct for 75% of cases so it still anybody's guess.
I don't think dietary things come into it unless what the man eats effects how many of each gender sperm he produces. The sex of baby all depends on whether an X or Y sperm gets that egg that month so anything you eat won't matter really.

Hi newbies. There's a fair old bunch of us on here now eh?

Bear I'm clueless about the fred title too.

Currently using my positive mental attitude to ward off the arrival of ERTD tomorrow. My dogs decided to use my microwave doggy that I use when my cramps start as a chew toy and he is no more so I'm hoping that's a good omen, as in I won't need him for 9 months anyway so it doesn't matter. >crosses fingers

looking at SMEP and wondering if you did an 'inverse smep' where you dtd on the 'off' days instead! probably end up with triplets or something v bonkers.

Report
ChocChaffinch · 09/07/2013 19:01

it's a bit of a bugger that even SMEPPING to the max = only 1/4 chance so seeing as Ive ballsed up my SMEP anyway at least it's cool in here

Ewwww quark, I never knew that. Gross! You'll never look at her the same again! Lol.

Choc - my understanding is the same as andie below. Speed and longevity of sperm are related to the gender but i don't think diet impacts it. The decision lies in the sperm so can't see how anything the woman does would impact the gender.

Sounds like some testing going on soon then. Surely a BFP is on its way in here!

Cookie Genius!!

KitKat According to the same (inconclusive) study deeper penetration makes a boy more likely as it allows the sperm with least longevity a shorter route to the egg so yeah, theoretically doggy style gives you more chance of conceiving a boy. But seeing as there's only a 25% chance of conceiving at all it's definitely more luck than judgement whichever sex you get.

Thanks Bear, keep feeding my crazy. Smile

Cool Cookie! Sorry, I get it now. Jermaine Jenius (for any footie fans) (Auto-correct wanted 'footsie fans' Grin)

Quark - genuinely interested as to why your dog is eating her babies' poo?! Is it to get all the nutrients back or something?

Kit- tight pants = low sperm count as the balls get too hot and can stop producing good quality and good quantities of sperm. Tight pants are a no no for Ttc although some people like Mick Jagger seem to have no bloody problem
