Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share and with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo;

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce in other posters).

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Happy shagging shaggers!

Why can't you eat tuna??? Ffs I had some on monday argh its minefield.

to all who asked we will be telling them after 12 weeks, which is bloody ages away Sad

cookie tuna contains mercury which is why they say to limit. think u can have a tin a week or something though.

frogchops · 24/07/2013 07:39

The tuna limit is like 4 tins a week, so I really wouldn't worry! I don't know many people who eat more than that! When you're a few more weeks in having panicked about eating everything.... You'll see there isn't really that much that's off limits!

Well that helps me feel better about not being preggers I guess, I love tuna! Not that I have more than four tins a week or anything... The wine thing really won't bother me, just not got the taste for it. You can all have mine and I will try limit my fizzy drink intake instead!

Tested this morning. BFN of course but still 6 days off. Why do we do it to ourselves?!

Bearfacedchic · 24/07/2013 09:17

Probably too early Dulcet. Hang in there.

Cookie- I didn't forget Writer. But maybe there's someone else

Well I've had sex once this cycle and I feel upduffed. No, wait, I just need the loo!

cookielove · 24/07/2013 10:50

Bear oh yeah look at that you didn't forget her, hmmmmm i think i need a holiday my brain seems to be failing.

I keep looking at foods to avoid and everything i seem to be eating is on there Confused

I was feeling pretty positive about this month, it's been pretty rare we haven't dtd. I'm sure last night was just a blip.... Would like my BFP so poor DP doesn't over think everything.... And then dtd doesn't work.

Writerwannabe83 · 24/07/2013 11:19

Hi fifi - it was good your husband was able to be honest with you about howwas feeling - and even more positive that he did try and 'start things up' again later. I know what it is like though when a certain conversation can very quickly kill the mood - my husband once made a comment about my weight mid-sex! haha - lets just say it ended in tears and an end to the session!!!

Like you said, hopefully last night will be a blip and I really hope that you get your BFP x x

EssieSaysRelax · 24/07/2013 12:29

Hi all. Can I bagsy the seat next to bear in the no camp so we can grumble about royal baby mania together. Ertd due any day. Just got home from grans and piar before I'd put my bags down. Bfn of course. Clutching at straws really or pee sticks cos I think we were late getting the cape on this cycle.

Had a lovely time away though and took my mum to see Bruce Springsteen last night in caaa-diff. Amazing. Quite moving in places as he did a bit about loved ones we've lost and he got a little kid up on stage who had massive ear defenders on and he sang with him, he was about 6 and the cameras kept zooming in on his parents who were crying with pride it was really funny and cute.

EssieSaysRelax · 24/07/2013 12:32

Sorry, stupid phone posted before i was finished!

Massive congrats to all the bfps on this Fred. Certainly a record since I've been here. Lets hope we can maintain this success rate!

Fx and tx for tomorrow bear
Xx

DulcetMoans · 24/07/2013 12:50

Defo too early bear, I know that but till do it! Like some miracle will happen and body will defy nature to give me a BFP!

I think it's positive having DP stop as well fifi. As frustrating as it is, they need to want it too. I get annoyed with mine trying when he knows he can't ifywim. That's just a waste of energy for both of us!

Baby in the office this morning. That was unexpected!

fifi669 · 24/07/2013 13:45

Seriously writer? He mentioned your weight? Sometimes men don't think at all do they!

Alohomora · 24/07/2013 13:55

Sounds like something mine would do - mind you, I am plus-size but I know he finds me attractive, problem is he can sometimes be hilariously out of line without even realising it, the clot.

I hope you have yours a good talking to!

We dtd last night despite going to bed late and me being hot and cranky and sore ( pulled a shoulder muscle). Work is really going on my nerves at the moment, I can't wait to be off and then go back part-time. Most colleagues are part-time and if I hear 'I don't know how you can stand working full time' just once more there might be a murrrderrr.

Writerwannabe83 · 24/07/2013 14:45

It was a slip of the tongue I think :)

We were DTD the night I was ovulating and I felt really bloated. And because I was on top (tmi?) my belly seemed to be flopping out a little and I was really aware of it. He could see that I seemed uncomfortable (trying to wrap my arms around my stomach) and he stopped to ask what was wrong. I told him that I felt like I was having a fat day and then I wobbled my belly a little and said, "Look!"

He looked and then said, "Well yeah, you do look bigger but it is only because you are slim. When slim girls put a bit of weight on it is just more obvious to people." (I'm about 5ft 6 and just under 9 stone)

I think he was trying to make me feel better, in his own way, but it had the exact opposite effect!!! I just started crying!!! I climbed off him and went and hid under the quilt Grin. We talked about it, he apologised for saying the wrong thing and he managed to persuade me to get things started again Wink

And Thank God we did as I'm pretty sure that night is what led to the conception Grin

Bearfacedchic · 24/07/2013 14:55

Writer- sometimes you feel like saying to some men 'do you even know me? Have you ever had a relationship with a woman before? (And we can see why that didn't last!) Here is a list of things that you should not mention. Ever. Just for future reference.' That should do it.

Essie- big hearts for Bruce. You are so lucky! Plus, grumble away next to me anytime. I've got strawberry laces for the coach. where are we going?

Fifi- he'll come round and it'll be alright. Just try to have fun and maybe don't mention the B word.

Cookie- you got baby brain! Grin

Dulcet- be strong!

Well done Aloho people at work can be really thick insensitive sometimes.

Bearfacedchic · 24/07/2013 14:58

Writer- oh Lordy what a pillock! You are TINY! Don't let anything anyone says bother you. Even OH. Love your body!

ChocChaffinch · 24/07/2013 15:02

bfn this morning.

and now Ive run out of testers. have ordered more from Amazonia;
but now feel like Ive thrown in the towel, screw it.

hoping the law of sod will come into play and I won't really need more than one.........

tragic more teenagers drowning. Sad

Bearfacedchic · 24/07/2013 15:06

Very Sad about the teenagers. The last thing I always say to my students before the hols is to remember to stay safe in the hope that it will stay with them and leap into their heads when tempted to do something daft and dangerous.

Choc- when is Ertd due?

Writerwannabe83 · 24/07/2013 15:08

Thanks Bear - I think the point he was trying to make was that even though I felt big I was still slim, and that is only because I'm slim I'm more aware of the bloaty-ness. Does that makes sense?? haha Grin He meant well, it just came out very wrong!! Men!! Grin

When is your AF due Choc ??

I meant pillock in an affectionate way Writer. Also, I know he meant well. I wrote my post 'sometimes you feel like saying to some men' before I'd read your post before that so we cross-posted. Sorry! Anyway, I can see what he means but not a good time to say it. Oh well, at least you got a BFP out of it! Grin

ChocChaffinch · 24/07/2013 16:12

AF probs due Friday; tend to be quite regular
the annoying thing is have had rotten pg symptoms each month to no avail. all part of body equalizing after coming off mirena end april, I suppose. so each month I get all dreamy about names... then pants-o-rama.

It's also the dread that even a bfp is only the 1st rung of a ruddy precarious ladder, too,

I thought those dipsticks could sense HGC from v early on anyway. My tummy doesn't feel pg either.

it's the heat really.

ChocChaffinch · 24/07/2013 16:14

HCG fgs

I did biology a level too Grin

Bearfacedchic · 24/07/2013 16:23

GCHQ? Grin

I know it's annoying, choc, but I'm sure it'll happen soon for you. It has for loads of people while I've been on this Fred just not me yet so it WILL happen for you too. Thanks
