Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce in other posters).

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Hello, floaty (your name made me giggle as it reminded me of our poor dead fish as you can tell i am not that devastated at their deaths)

My usual cycle length is 25-28 days, earlier in the year i had two longer cycles one after the other one lasting 40 days and the other lasting 38 days. Of course both times i got uber excited thinking this is it but it wasn't to be. I was going to go to the doctor as it was a huge leap but then my period started on day 23, next time and the time after that back to 28. I have a few more 28's so figured it was just a blip.

So thats why i am not really expecting to be pregnant this time either. But what will be will be fingers crossed it will be a baby

oh cookie how blimming frustrating. Got everything x-ed for you. How much longer will you wait before you test if she doesn't show? Have you tested at all in this 10 days? My cycles were regular then the last 2 have been up the swanny. Very weird.

Cookie just pee on something and if its BFN you're no worse off than you are now - it'll either mean BFP or ERTD will arrive soon, but if you test and its BFP then you will be soooooo glad you tested

Flo literal (luteal) phase is after ovulation until AF arrives. Anything over 10 days is no problem, average is 14 days. Under 10 may not be a problem but once an egg gets fertilised it takes a few days to implant - so if you have a short literal phase then your period may start and flush everything out before its had the chance to implant. It can implant in as little as 3 days though so short literal phase doesn't guarantee problems. Hope that makes sense!!!

I'm all out of tests to pee on, however I still had some ov sticks and dr goofle tells me that they can be used to test for pregnancy as well so I peed on one of those this morning and have got some digis on the way in the food shopping that's arriving tomorrow :) paranoid that my BFP will disappear although the line is now nice and strong.

rock did u do the opk with fmu to get it to show the bfp? I have some cheapy opks I could use waste if I get impatient about testing....and I could talk a nve opk into a bfp soooooo easily!

the reason for my usual idiot ways is because I'm going away Saturday am for a girls weekend at a spa. do and Jacuzzi's..... both bad for a bfp! I am 10dpo today so too early to test but I'm wondering whether to test before I go or not. AF not due until Tues assuming I'm right about lp being 14days. I suggested testing sat am to dh but he wasn't keen as if it was bfp it would be like "yay bfp, see ya!" but I'm getting up early to leave so he probably won't get up. do I do a test sat am anyway and not tell him and just do another with him when I'm back? or do one tomorrow? why is TTC soooo complicated!

lilady You could get a bfn even if your actually pregnant as may be to early, but then you'd assume ok for lots of and jacuzzis (sounds lush by the way!).
And could you really keep it from your partner if you got a bfp Saturday morning?
If it were me I'd limit wine and jacuzzi and poas with dp after weekend. Hth!

Ok ok so I know we shouldn't symptom spot but have had some cm today. Stodgy thick stuff that holds its shape. Slightly yellow. Sorry I know that's tmi but wondering what this could be as not a norm before period. And dp commented on boobs looking bigger and firmer today!

Essie i tested on the day before AF was due, 4 days late, 5 days late, and 7 days late. I may test tomorrow if i remember but got lots of things to do in the morning before i go to work so i will most likely forget.

He has left for work now (works nightshifts), but he left with a daft grin on his face, despite us not quite sure what's going on yet!

Even though I am not sure whether I am or aren't, just the possiblity of a bfp makes me feel like the luckiest and most blessed woman alive.

Choc its 5 weeks til nutrients pass the placenta, not sure I'd personally risk the jacuzzi coz of the high temps and bacteria especially when little bean could be just deciding to implant!

Fingers crossed Flo - pee in a cup or something and save your FMU until you've had the chance to buy a test or send DP out tonight to a 24 hour supermarket What sort I test was it? Pink dye ones are better, blue ones have a slight chance of an evaporation line.

thanks choc there was some colour on the 2nd line but was over 10 mins before could really see it. I dug it out the bin a few hrs later and there'd was definite colour I know I have already ovd contraband so can't be that. I'm tempted to test Saturday am anyway. but will try and talk dh round first as I would want to tell him if it came up bfp. if it was bfn I would tell myself it was unlikely so wouldn't feel so bad about a couple of drinks.
