Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share and with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo;

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce in other posters).

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

My insides feel all wrong. Chunning inside, had to get up and get a drink. Obviously part of me is thinking (hoping) its a good sign but probably something I ate!

A lot of us seem to be in the waiting zone, do we do test date lists here? (Phone wanted that to be tear date lusts, lol!)

Rockchick1984 · 16/06/2013 07:49

Dulcet I'm due ERTD on 26th, but am on the TTC after miscarriage thread too and they only allow testing on a Friday :) so debating if I should test and get BFN on 21st, or wait and see if no AF by 28th it'll be the 21st!

cookielove · 16/06/2013 10:46

There was a lovely thread on here yesterday which made me smile thought i would post it on here if you missed it its got that feel good factor that we all need!!

Redshoes56 · 16/06/2013 15:08

Oh cookie thanks for sharing that! Definitely made me smile. There is hope for us all!

Redshoes56 · 16/06/2013 18:24

Serious hooya needed here. Have been slipping out of the "zen zone" into reading, Googling and obsessing, which does nothing other than depress me. I just had a massive cry up in the bedroom. DH is sweet but helpless as far as what to say. I have to stick to JS rules this month. A lot more sex a lot less worry. There. I have said it here and now I have to do it!

cookielove · 16/06/2013 18:28

Ahhhh Red, we all do it

I have been sitting on my hands trying not to test, i will wait for tomorrow though.

Dh said to me earlier 'do you want to make a baby tonight?' which basically means 'do you wanna have sex!?!' how does he not remember we may have already made one

Fox82 · 16/06/2013 22:40

Thanks for sharing the thread cookie - so lovely

Nessalina · 16/06/2013 23:55

Awww! A little hooya and Thanks for you Red Wink I totally know the feeling - it's about this time of the month I start the serious obsessive behaviour too! I failed again on restraint and took another flippin' test for another flippin' BFN which means I now only have one in the house, so no more testing for silly impatient Ness Hmm
Been a good and bad day, spent some quality time with my DH but he's decided that he's gonna leave his current job and career change which TBH will be a good move in the long term for quality of life, but it's going to be financially tough for a little whilst he retrains. He's promised that we won't halt the baby plan though - that's still no 1 priority which was really nice to hear that he's still as impatient as me about it Smile

Nessalina · 16/06/2013 23:56

Loved the linked thread too Cookie! That'll be one of us soon!! positive mental attitude Grin

DulcetMoans · 17/06/2013 08:14

Yeah, thanks for the link- what a lovely story! One day it can be us, I am sure!

Cookie, did you hold out and test this morning??

What's the career change nessa? Will it take long to retrain?!

EssieSaysRelax · 17/06/2013 08:28

Morning viroids.

Did my bridesmaid duties on Saturday and all went well, it was a really lovely day.

Glad it's not just me going out of my mind thou in the 2ww. Resisted testing this weekend and felt quite pleased with myself for not caving. Ertd due next sat so going to hang on til then, or at least attempt to.

Hope everyone had a good weekend. Wish it wasn't Monday again though as got such a cruddy work week ahead.

Love xx

EssieSaysRelax · 17/06/2013 09:27

oooh thanks for that link cookie, good to see a bfp even if it isn't on our own fred.

IceNoSlice · 17/06/2013 15:31

Lost the thread!

Ok, I'm a newbie so bear with me... 2ww. Two week wait, right? And counting from the date you think you ov'd which is approx 14 days from the start of ERTD?

EssieSaysRelax · 17/06/2013 15:43

Hi ice, yes, the 2ww is the 14 (ish give or take a day or 20!) days from ov to end of cycle.

Bearfacedchic · 17/06/2013 16:46

Nice Fred Cookie. Smile

Had a lovely weekend despite some nightmare family contingents. Phew!

I'm well into Ertd here and it's painful and uncomfortable. Groan, groan. Might head off to bed for a sneaky nap as I'm in pain.

red- hope you're okay. Flowers Sometimes it's good to have a cry about it. I do frequently. DH says the doom feeling creeps up on him when he least expects it. It's like that for me too. I get suddenly overwhelmed, but I'm getting better at it. Do you think you might seek further help Red or is that too personal? Sorry if it is. Thinking of you.

DH and I planning a long haul trip next year and I'm going to stay with a friend in Italy in August plus we have our referral appt in July so I'm sure to get upduffed next cycle, right?

Hi to everyone else! Monday is nearly done in the UK. Hurrah!

Strokethefurrywall · 17/06/2013 18:55

Glad Monday is almost over in the UK, worst day of the week - it might be Monday here but being a British Overseas Territory we get to celebrate the Queen's birthday with a public holiday, hurrah! It's too bastard hot though and DS has just gone down for his lunchtime nap whilst I lie on the couch and watch Greys Anatomy re-runs.

DH and I DTD this morning but I haven't been paying any attention (to my dates, not to the sex!) - all I know is that I've been having cramps for a few days now, feeling like AF is due to start any time but it's way too early, I'm not due til 24th I think. Thought then it was ovulation pains and maybe I was ovulating late but being that I'm at cd21 today it's a little far fetched.

TBH, I'm quite enjoying the not tracking or symptom spotting. Last month's 2ww was brutal.

cookielove · 17/06/2013 19:57

Hello all, first day of my week off and it starts with a lie in (yum) sone hanky panky and then a delicious hot shower. And then I took the brave decision to cut my own hair Shock and it looks fab Grin

Oh and I did poas and it was bfn!!

Redshoes56 · 17/06/2013 22:34

Bear - no, not too personal! My drop-dead-deadline is August. After that, we are going to the specialist. I've only put it off because I know they'll want to test and treat aggressively based on my age (34) and I wanted to give my body a chance to do its thing naturally first. I feel tons better after my little meltdown. I hid all the books and I'm cutting down on useless Internet wandering, and we're just on the shags-a-plenty plan for the near term. As often as we can possibly do it, we're doing it -- for stress relief if nothing else Grin.

cookie - boo about the BFN. Your day off sounds marvelous though!

AndieDisestablishment · 18/06/2013 07:01

Hello ladies.
Thought I'd check in on my way to work (I'm on the bus, not about to cause an RTA.lol)
Red I had a shitty day yesterday too but just about contained the tears. I did, however, research fertility tests and discovered a nearby private pregnancy scan clinic also does fertility testing. I also left EBay open when I went to bed with a ClearBlue fertility monitor up so DP would notice. He probably hasn't, he seems oblivious to my mania at the moment.
I am treating DP to two hours in the tattooists chair on Thursday so hoping for hanky panky from him as thanks. I'm just too tired for DTD at the moment.
How is everyone? Anyone peed on anything?

EssieSaysRelax · 18/06/2013 09:15

Yeah Andie I caved last night and piar because I literally wee'd about 40 times yesterday which is weird for me, ever since a very traumatic experience on a bus in a remote part of Thailand years ago I have had a bladder like steel. Anyway, it was a bfn, obviously. I am 10 dpo-ish. I have already been 3 times this morning too, so perhaps I have a uti! Joy!

It's crap though isn't it really. I always had visions of coming off the pill and just forgetting about it and then finding out one day, all calm and serenely, that I was preggers. No frigging chance. If I don't get a hold of myself I will be in a padded cell before I get my bfp. Hugs to everyone else going bonkers at the moment too.

cookie! You cut your own hair! Wow! That is v brave, well done. Now my bridesmaiding is over I can get mine all hacked off again - hurrah.

DulcetMoans · 18/06/2013 09:40

Can I get in the pity pool?! Feeling sorry for myself but not just TTC. Currently hiding in the loos at work to avoid being there too!

I'm 8 days off AF according to the app I use, thank god that knows cos I'm rubbish at keeping track. Feels like an age away!

Day off did sound good cookie, now if only every day can be like that!

EssieSaysRelax · 18/06/2013 09:49

Yes Dulcet! Come on in! I've added a couple of kettle fulls of hot water too so it's quite a pleasant temperature now.

Sorry to hear work has you hiding in the loos. Our loos are unisex so I try and keep my time in there to an absolute minimum! Hope your day turns out to not be too bad.
x

cookielove · 18/06/2013 14:47

Hello all Smile

1 day late with af. Gonna hold out till Fri to test again.

Ooooh a pity pool I maybe joining you in there, in the next couple of days! ! I like it nice and toasty.

Nessalina · 18/06/2013 15:29

Gets her pity bikini on Wink
Sounds like we're all pretty down in the dumps lately! Except for Cookie and her shagalicious day off! Grin
I'm waiting at the doctors coz I've had a weird throat the last 10 days, doesn't hurt, but feels like I'm swallowing a marble, very odd! Hoping to wangle a free POAS out of the docs Smile Hehe! Two days before ERTD is due to roll in, but with two BFNs already over the last few days I'm not holding out a lotta hope! Xx

Strokethefurrywall · 18/06/2013 16:51

I'm in the pity pool too - can we have a pity hot tub instead?

I've been having cramps for the past 4 days which is totally weird and I'll be massively pissed off if they carry on right up until next Monday when I'm due on. That's just rubbing salt in the wound!

I have no idea when I ovulated this month so I'm flying a little blind, but I can't say I'm pleased if I end up having AF cramps for 2 weeks out of every month. That might just turn me into a rage monster!

GOod luck Cookie, keeping my fingers crossed for your bfp!
