Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share and with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo;

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce in other posters).

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Hi everyone. sorry for being mia. I have been lurking but finding time to post has been difficult!

loving the sound of the pity pool! but agree the hot tub sounds good too!

Well I'm very proud of dh and I. I was feeling confident that I could ov earlier this month if I kept the stress down and I think I ov yesterday at CD 17 vs CD 23 last month and CD 31 before that! and we have DTD for the last 3 days on a row so feeling like we've done all we possibly can. ideally I'd GI again tonight but don't think any amount of guilting will get that to happen. so looks like I'm starting the tww. I may have to poas before ertd is actually due tho as I'm going for a spa weekend about 2 days before and I don't think u can go on jacuzzi if Ur upduffed? also have the law of the sod in tow....if we managed it this month our due date would be the day before I'm due to go to the theatre with my mum to see a west end production!

please have hooyas at the ready in case I become the neurotic idiot I did last month!

gl to everyone waiting to piar/poas/piapc! Hope you've all been listening to the boob at full volume Grin

can't believe it's only Tuesday! although I can't say I've been hiding in the Loo's so I guess I'll be thankful its not been that bad...for a change!

and yay for the hair chopping. new hair dos are fun...wouldn't attempt it myself tho, very brave! feel free to pass the hair this way, I'm trying to grow mine Smile

well I should really be studying but think I'll flake out in front of a dvd instead

Bearfacedchic · 18/06/2013 19:05

Oh Blimey! I may have to submerge myself in the pool! Feeling exhausted after not sleeping very well last night but I did cycle 21k at the gym last night in 38 mins too. Very proud of my little pegs although I think I then had an adrenaline rush meaning I couldn't sleep.

It's been so sticky and hot here today. I feel so ugh!

Sounds hopeful Cookie. Fingers and toes crossed for ya.

IceNoSlice · 18/06/2013 20:27

Thanks Essie for the clarification. So. My 2ww may be up. Problem is, I have no idea how long my cycle is as have never tracked it before. But ERTD turned up on 22 May, and we have DTD rather a lot this month so I am thinking we have a chance? So, should I POAS tomorrow? And risk a false BFN? Or wait till the weekend to give more chance of BFP... What to do ladies?

IceNoSlice · 18/06/2013 20:30

Also, today I purchased 3 pairs of size 10 jeans (I've never been a size 10! Literally never! Was size 12 aged 14)

That must mean i'm upduffed? The law of the sod, right?

Bearfacedchic · 18/06/2013 21:04

Well done Ice on the jeans! I was at least a size 12 aged 14, probably more like a size 14-16! Shock Much is comfort eating was had.

HamwidgeAlive · 18/06/2013 22:00

Hola viroids, room for another?

IceNoSlice · 18/06/2013 22:28

Welcome Hamwidge, def

IceNoSlice · 18/06/2013 22:30

Gah. I may now own teeny jeans but I have very fat fingers.

I meant to say: definitely room Hamwidge, there are quite a few of us newbies Smile

HamwidgeAlive · 18/06/2013 22:33

Thanks ice :) Wow just read upthread, well done on the jeans! It has been a long time since I've seen size 10!

ChocChaffinch · 18/06/2013 22:41

hello another newbie here.

have got the shakes today, and itchy arms. think it's the 7million power pollen count or something.

DulcetMoans · 18/06/2013 22:42

Hi Hamwidge! That's what I have for lunch tomorrow! Welcome.

Congrats on the size 10s, I can't imagine ever being that small! Should defo bring on a BFP though, so you'll get to wear them once and then they sit in the cupboard for years!

I did come out of the toilets by the way. I was avoiding people rather than work. Some people are just so mean!

So with 9 days left til AF should I really DTD tonight? I'm tired but its been since Sat night so I know I should... God, how will I have the energy for an actual child?!

Nessalina · 18/06/2013 22:55

Hello new folk! Grin I'm only new myself really, about to face my first ERTD on the thread I think - waaah!
Ice - if you had AF on 22nd May and your cycle is spot on 28 days then you're due on tomorrow (day before mine is due!). 28 days is the average cycle length with period being Day 1, although apparently only 5% of women actually have a 28 day cycle, which is why we all end up having no idea exactly what's going on Hmm
If you are due on tomorrow then you can POAS, but yeah, you could still get a false BFN if your cycle is actually longer, so in theory it's better to just wait to see if the ERTD does arrive. That's easier said than done mind you - I'm not due on til Thurs and I've POAS twice already because I'm too darned impatient! Confused
Btw, LOL at Andie's 'has anyone peed on anything lately?' from earlier in the Fred! Wink
Dulcet - my DH is a teacher and he's seriously fed up, so he wants to retrain in IT... Not that I (or he!) really know what that entails, but it means him doing a qualification that we can't really afford. I've got my supportive wife hat on, but I'm just crossing my fingers that it works out ok!

IceNoSlice · 19/06/2013 06:26

ChocChaffinch - boo to hay fever!

Dulcet - I sympathise with hiding in the loos at work. I've been there. A couple of years ago, same job I have now. When I walked into the lift to go up to my office, my heart sank. Every day. Mainly due to people. I think you have two choices:

  1. Do something about it- go on a massive charm offensive, invite a nice person (there must be one!) for coffee, set yourself some small targets. Tell someone if you're being bullied. Might be the option to try first if you want to stay where you are to keep the maternity pay.
  2. leave. Sometimes life is too short.

Hope things get better for you

ChocChaffinch · 19/06/2013 09:37

good advice, icenoslice

is it one person in particular that is an arse? or just general bad vibes from a team of twats?

is there someone you can talk to? the free work advice phone lines are good.

EssieSaysRelax · 19/06/2013 13:13

I'm dealing with some bullying at work at the moment, someone came to me to report they were being bullied and I tried to talk to that persons manager about it, who then tried to intimidate me into keeping my nose out. Hmmmm. There are some horrible people around. Hope you are ok Dulcet.

3 days til ERTD here. People keep asking me if I'm ok, so would seem I don't look ok? Though I feel ok and I think I look the same as normal. Weird.

Hi newbies! x

Bearfacedchic · 19/06/2013 17:47

How horrible for you both essie and dulcet. I hope you get to resolve the problems soon. I've worked with some right knobs in the past so I know how you feel. If only some people put as much effort into their work as they do into making others' lives a misery, the world would be a much better place. I would be doing what you are Essieand if I was told to butt out, I would go to HR or above the manager in question, but I do stick my neck out for others. It doesn't always make me popular though!

Bearfacedchic · 19/06/2013 17:48

Hello new folks!

lil1ady · 19/06/2013 18:01

afternoon peeps. Sad to the bullying. I'm lucky in my office as we all get on really well. the only knobs are the bosses and they sit out the way in their own rooms so easy to avoid then most of the time!

can't believe what a lovely day it's turned out to be.

well mil on her way over shortly so tune for a quick tidy. yay!

DulcetMoans · 19/06/2013 18:49

Oh bless you all, what lovely people. Thanks for all the concern. It is fine, really. I wouldn't say its bullying at all, it's defo more the 'bad vibe from a team of twats' to quote choc.

I have moved to a new team and they just aren't as friendly as I am used to. There's two/three girls that I think are quite horrible especially. It's harder because I moved from a little office of four where we all got on into a big team in a big office where people don't really seem to know each other! I take walks to the toilets further away and take longer than I need sometimes to get away from it... Defo not leaving though. I do enjoy my job and I like my employer plus great benefits for baby making!

People asking if you are ok then Essie, do you feel ok? (basically asking you to symptom spot!)

Did I ask you guys if any of you do/did ovulate stupidly late? I think I could be ovulating now and I am 8 days from AF. Feeling this might be a regular occurrence too!

lil1ady · 19/06/2013 19:00

dulcet I've been ov as late as cd31 in recent cycles. I think a combination of coming off bcp and stress. if you ov late AF will be due later, you need to count usual lp from ov to work out when AF is due - if u know Ur lp. if u don't know it add 14 days as a rough est. should save u money on sine tests if nothing else!

lil1ady · 19/06/2013 19:01

*some not sine!

Strokethefurrywall · 19/06/2013 19:03

Ahh Jaysus - I think I may have to drown myself in the pity hot tub ladies. Last night, as I was putting on my make up, ready to head on out for an anniversary dinner with DH at our favourite steak restaurant, our Filipino babysitter pipes up "you've put on weight haven't you?" whilst looking pointedly at my tummy. (I only point out she's Filipino as alot of them in Cayman seem to think it's not offensive to make comments about people's weight! It's happened to me twice before!)

I raised my eyebrows and said "yeah probably" and she then continues "yes you're starting to get bigger" - I then made some comment about having bigger boobs and saying I didn't know why and then I think she realised she'd made the mortal mistake of assuming I'm pregnant. Which I'm not. I've just stopped running marathons!

I could see DH making a Shock face in the kitchen whilst she just looked me over and then stopped talking whilst I started banging on about how much food I was going to stuff in my face.

I think maybe she spotted my ept test a few months ago as she also sometimes cleans the house (with our actual cleaner) so I reckon she has just assumed I'm pregnant.

And what makes me laugh is that I haven't even really put on weight, maybe 5lbs in the last 6 weeks since I got back from NYC... although now I'm convinced I'm a heffer! I'm lighter than I was when I finished running the sodding marathon for fucks sake. I tell thee, I'd better be damn pregnant at the end of this cycle....

For shame!

Bearfacedchic · 19/06/2013 20:33

Oh poor you stroke. No matter if she's Philippino or what, it's still rude and shit for you. I'm sure you look great. Smile I exercise 5-6 times a week and I'm still 2 stone overweight. There's not much hope for me I've decided. I overheard someone saying I have a 'fat arse' the other day. < mortifying>

IceNoSlice · 19/06/2013 20:40

I'm sure neither of you Stroke or Bear look big. When we were in the Philippines (backpacking a few years back) I was told I was XXL. They're mostly so little and westerners look massive in comparison.

So I bought some of the pee sticks off of Amazon and peed on one. BFN. But I didn't actually read the instructions. Pee needs to be at room temp (is that important?) and I shouldn't have dunked the whole thing in, ignoring the 'max' line. So will try again tomorrow. Are these cheapy sticks sensitive, do you know?

lil1ady · 19/06/2013 22:29

oh dear stroke! how did u not punch her?! don't let it get to u though. sounds like she was trying to pry info out of you rather than making a valid observation.
