Newbies very welcome provided they meet the strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 3+months, must have a special pot, NO instadiffers) and bring a bouquet of sausages when they join!

Morning! (she says, bringing bacon sandwiches to the pity sofa) tally sending much hugs, bajas wishes for speedy recovery for your dad. Really hope he is ok. My dad has had 3 strokes and thankfully made nearly full recovery and is still working, but each time the first few days are filled with so much worry. Like you barking this is one of. The reasons i want my body to hurry up and sort itself out
Also thinking about reflexology maybe. Had Reiki ages years ago(one off at a festival) without even laying hands on she said shecould feel some sort of blockage and asked wham my last af was- i had not had one months after coming off depot- she spent quite a bit of time hovering her hands above my abdo and lower back. Later that eve af arrived! Not great timing for the festival, but the whole experience was quite lovely.

Bunnygirlie · 20/04/2013 10:05

Bit grumpy this morning, DH rolled in at 1ish drunk as a skunk, of course he goes straight off to sleep and I lie there fuming that he's woken me up and is full of booze, shouldn't he be cutting down! He is at the rugby today so he'll be drinking all day aswell grrrrrrrrr

trying I really recommend reflexology, it's helping my IBS and regulating my periods, if only we could time the DTD right Confused

Trying123 · 20/04/2013 11:22

Have good day in the sun berries! off to work Envy

happylass · 20/04/2013 12:02

Sorry to hear your dads are poorly Barking and Bajas
Quick question berries - went to the GP earlier and have an cyst in my boob which may be infected. Doc gave me 2 weeks worth of Penicillin and said it was fine to take whilst TTC. Anyone know if this is right? Am a bit Hmm of the NHS! Shag week is fast approaching and don't want to waste a month unless antibiotics would be dangerous!

Tallyra · 20/04/2013 12:39

never heard anything about abs being bad didn't ttc!!! Shock

thank you everyone for my hugs. I'm about to have a very busy afternoon. got to take the ferret to the vet as he's been projectile vomiting and then going to a birthday BBQ of friend who has 4 month old baby. she was an instadiffer so ill have a bit of a heartache when I got home I think. I really hope the fuzzy is ok though. we lost 2 of his brothers in the last yeT and a half and only have 3 left and they're only young still.

Tallyra · 20/04/2013 12:40

and u send you all hugs back, especially bajas and anyone whose dad is not well. Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks

BombasticPeanut · 20/04/2013 12:48

Happy which antibiotics are they? Most of them are fine, I dole out loads of antibiotics to pregnant women Smile

Bajas, Barking, sorry to hear about your dads.

Thunderpants hope you survive the day. My suggestion: gin.

Tally hope your ferret is ok (this sounds like innuendo...it's not. Honest)

Bunny and Frog, sending you a solidarity sigh at the general uselessness of menfolk. They're only good for their sperm and round here they're not even good for that [skeptical]

Feeling good today, got up early, had avocado and pineapple smoothie, did 5k parkrun in the sunshine and now awaiting a probably burnt roast lunch cooked by t'other half. Shame it's all going to be spoilt by having to go to work at 3 Sad

BombasticPeanut · 20/04/2013 13:18

I meant Hmm when I said [skeptical]... Cannot follow simple instructions.

happylass · 20/04/2013 13:31

Thanks Peanut. I'm sure it's fine, I'm just being paranoid cautious. They are called Flucloxacillin? Have done some Googling and seems to be ok. Even read somewhere that antibiotics may help with TTC. Will let you know in a few weeks ha!

BombasticPeanut · 20/04/2013 13:41

Yeah, think that one's fine happy, it's a penicillin and they're fine in pregnancy as long as you're not allergic. Ooh not heard that they can help, wonder why that would be...

BlindKitty · 20/04/2013 14:57

peanut Yay to kittens!!! I?d love another cat but I?d worry it would boss her about being blind!

Tally ah sounds rubbish but then, lets see what the doc says.

bajas sorry to hear about your Dad, hope he gets better soon x

yorkiebilb · 20/04/2013 15:15

tally hope your ferret feels better soon!

Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine if they're not working. What's everyone up to?

Had an interesting day so far. Have randomly signed up to a beginners crochet course! Anyone else crochet?

Also just had my hair cut and strangely the guy who I've never met before asked me if I'd been pregnant recently when looking at my hair. I said I'd had a mc in Dec (not that I go around saying that to everyone!) how odd is that?!

barkingtreefrog · 20/04/2013 16:00

I'm sat on a bench in Whitby while my mate runs round with her 3 year old. I'm trying to persuade the 5 year old that flying a kite is not a good plan on a busy pier.
Told my mate earlier where I was up to on the ttc. A bit later she did the 'oh you know so and so's pregnant'? No I didn't and I didn't really want to. Sad

Frogcatcher · 20/04/2013 17:39

bajas & barking sorry to hear about your dads & insensitive friends. My gran died the other year & I always feel sad she never saw any great-grandchildren. We went to see my grandad for his 92nd birthday the other week & the first thing DP said when we got home was that we had to take our baby to see him as soon as we had one. That made me cry.
I've played golf this afternoon & I'm now watching DP play cricket. I hate cricket & thought they would have finished & just be having drinks by the time I got here but it's a long game. Grrr.

Thundercatsarego · 20/04/2013 20:20

Hi all

Who said gin? Yes I agree.

Too drunk to add more but I'll just say that I think antibiotics is the very reason why a lot of people bloody instadiffin arseheads get pg in the first place?!

Bunnygirlie · 20/04/2013 23:43

Evening all, quiet in here tonight! Helloooooooooooooooo (echos back)

Just sober night out, luckily no pg people or anybody with babies Smile

On the plus side, my child free life means I don't regularly experience the 5am wake ups and trying to keep two young children quiet in a campsite from then onwards...
And when I talked about going to California this summer and my friend was 'so jealous' I realised there are many perks to being not yet a parent, even if I'd prefer to be her place. Smile One of the perks being it doesn't take me 45 minutes to walk 200m along the beach back to the car Grin .

Bunnygirlie · 21/04/2013 08:58

Yep many many pluses to being child-free but I've had enough years of that now lol!

Had the weirdest dream last night, my period came but it just wouldn't stop, red everywhere! I think I can safely say that the imminent arrival of AF is on my mind!

I'm beginning to think that missing this months reflexology appointment may affect when she arrives, since tracking my cycles a year ago they have varied in length but settled down after getting reflex - 30, 33, 36, 35, 28, 31, 31, started reflex 29, 29, 29, 28. It's CD 28 today so I expect her to arrive mon or tues but she could be later as no sore boobs or tummy pains yet.

Any sunny Sunday plans today?

Hi Guys, hope you're all ok.

Turned fb on today to see that my friend's dh had announced that she's pregnant again. I'm so upset. Not sure whether its because she actually pregnant, because she didn't tell me, or because she didn't tell me because she was worried I'd be upset. Literally just stopped crying. I hate myself for feeling like this when I should be congratulating her. Sorry for such a downer so early but know you guys will understand Sad

Tallyra · 21/04/2013 09:24

completely kitty. my cousin didn't tell me til she was 7 months because she didn't know what to say. I could understand that but it really upset me when another family member put a photo up of her on fb and it surprised me.
Lots and lots of hugs to you. Thanks Wine Thanks Wine

yorkiebilb · 21/04/2013 09:31

blind sorry to hear you're feeling so down. Try to not be so hard on yourself. At any other time I'm sure you would be over the moon for your friend, it's just a really difficult time and a completely normal reaction. I'm sure the majority of people ttc for a while would react in exactly the same way and we can't all be horrible people for doing that! I guess it's just the shock that's caught you off guard?

BlindKitty · 21/04/2013 09:38

thanks guys. Think it has just caught me off guard. Just wish she'd told me first, just makes me thing our friendship isn't that important to her
