Me first this time. Smile

It may only be May 4th, but I'm out for this month (although technically AF due 30th May - I just like starting new threads).

Hi Gemma - sorry to hear you're feeling glum.

Are you still on the same cycle where you bled for 3 weeks? Or is this a new one?

Anyway, cheery things...

You still could be PG! Lots of people seem to have probs with the test sticks.

Any symptoms?

OP posts:
gemmaseascout · 18/05/2006 15:16

no still the same cycle!

gemmaseascout · 18/05/2006 15:17

got sore boobs, not like af sore boobs, a bit different.
Had slight pains in nether regions last week and have been feeling naueous!

Hopecat · 18/05/2006 15:19

Keeping fingers crossed for you Smile

If you're still on that cycle then you probably OVed late, so if you are PG you may not be very far along. Leave it a week then test again.

OP posts:
gemmaseascout · 18/05/2006 15:41

thanx Smile

TuttiFrutti · 18/05/2006 17:41

Pussycatmomma, I'm on cd6 as well so we are in cync! Fingers crossed...

gemmaseascout · 18/05/2006 17:48

are you testing?

gemmaseascout · 18/05/2006 17:49

for ovulation i mean!!!

TuttiFrutti · 18/05/2006 18:55

Will be testing for ovulation in a few days time - taking temp at the moment. I keep those ov sticks strictly rationed as they are so expensive!

gemmaseascout · 18/05/2006 19:05

you can but them on ebay!

I have given up. Its too soul destroying for me.

Havent really recovered from being on depo. Lots of weird things have been happening to me. No periods and the bleeding for 20 days. AF symptoms. But now I have really sore boobs not like af but different i tested for pg last tuesday but it was -tive! Never mind!

Good luck for you!

mummy2jake · 18/05/2006 21:48

hi everyone cd16 for me aswell and its my birthday today so it would be a good late present to get my bfp at the end of the month.
hope your all ok talk too you soon if anyones here.

flowertot · 19/05/2006 08:06

Hi everyone! Just moved over from May. Stayed there slong as I could but then AF popped in today!
Can you tell me when I should try the Evening Primrose and cough medecine please? Is EP just everyday and cough around ovulation? May as well try everything

babydriver · 19/05/2006 12:57

Hi flowertot, gemmaseascout, tuttifrutti and everyone else.

I'd like to know the answers to flowertot's questions too. I have the feeling that you take the EPO during AF and maybe for a few days after that, but I'm not sure about the cough medicine timing at all.

gemmaseascout, hope your signs are positive ones - or at least that you manage to figure out what's going on. Must be really getting you down not knowing what's happening.

FWIW, ov sticks don't do it for me either. I kept getting the Smile on the day my temp rose - which according to the charting book means that I'm already past my peak day.

peachygirl · 19/05/2006 13:14

Flowertot I've just posted on the ecwm thread but I take the EPO from day 1 up til ovulation which in reality is a couple of days before as it moves about. I found the EPO really helped everying for me and has especially helped my sore boobs, I hardly get any pain at all now. have a look at my other post for more info, Welcome and hello to you all if I haven't met you before

shhh · 19/05/2006 13:15

Can i join in?

I'm just starting ttc.

I have another username but i don't want to use it on this topic area.

I have one ds already. He is almost 2.

bobblehead · 19/05/2006 15:48

Af arrived on Wed night so now I can join in properly tooSmile

TuttiFrutti · 19/05/2006 16:24

My ov stick was neg this morning (which is what I'd expect on cd7) but I got a temp rise, one degree above normal. What does this mean??? I didn't do the temps last time round, and am finding it confusing to compare it with ov sticks.

peachygirl · 19/05/2006 16:35

Tutti frutti You can have what are called 'spikes' in your cycle where you get a rise on one day for no apparant reason. There really should be no more that one or two in a cycle though
remember early rises, paracetamols etc and alcohol can make you have rises too!

Hopecat · 19/05/2006 17:50

Hello everyone. Taking a break from making a starfish costume.

Tuttifrutti - don't bother trying to analyse your results until you've got at least a month's worth - it's more of an overview. In fact, you're not really supposed to use it for analysis until you've got 3 months worth. You'll just drive yourself mad if you analyse every rise and fall as it happens (like I did).

Have a bath and watch Big Brother instead. Smile

CD17 today. Oh and happy birthday Mummy2jake my cycle buddy! Hope you get your birthday beany.

Have decided not to post symptoms this month even if I feel (or think I feel) them. Have decided Wannabe and Peachy are right and it's too soul-destroying. Already I am a cynical MNer.

OP posts:
TuttiFrutti · 19/05/2006 19:33

Hopecat, I will definitely chill out this evening and watch Big Brother! Thanks for the advice - I didn't realise it wouldn't be as straightforward as I'd imagined.

And please don't get TOO cynical just yet...

Natty1806 · 19/05/2006 21:02

Hiya

Am joining this thread even though my period is not due till begining of July but hoping acupunture will sort this out.

Anyway just wondering if anyone else is spending a small fortune on this ttc business.

So far i have brought a clear blue fertility monior off e-bay for £70.00 and i have just placed an order for the testing sticks and some pre seed - spent another £75!!!

Plus my acupunture is going to be £50 a session so won't be going out much this month.

Hopefully i will get pregnant soon and be able to sell this stuff on. Grin

coggy · 19/05/2006 22:20

Oooh..I'm hopping over from May (but hopefully not staying long!!!)...although feel like I may be joining you very soon!

Hopecat..this doesn't sound like you.
I always think it helps to be positive.

I read somewhere that you should visulise what you want to happen inside you....sperm meeting egg, egg implanting etc. etc. - think it was in Zita West's book.
Symptoms are such a bummer that they are so similar to AF.

Hopecat · 20/05/2006 18:20

I agree really coggy - just really tired this month. This is actually the zenith of my working year (working all through the weekend at the moment putting on a show), and next week I will collapse.

I'm sure I will then regale you all with my symptoms once more. Lucky you.

I will get in the bath now before Doctor Who and visualise away. You've blown my cynicism away just like that!

Hope you don't join us coggy (and you know I mean that in the nicest possible way).

Natty - how come your period's not due 'til July?

OP posts:
mummy2jake · 20/05/2006 18:26

hi all just got ds into bed had a hard day at work so having something to eat going for a soak in the bath so if anyones around later speak 2 u then

peachygirl · 20/05/2006 18:47

Hopecat, do post your symptoms if you want to what I was saying last month was it's important to have an open mind when reading into them as so many symptoms are similar fingers crossed for you this month.
Coggy I'll probably be around to morrow for bit of planning ... roll on half term!
I might be around a bit later mummyto Jake
