Me first this time. Smile

It may only be May 4th, but I'm out for this month (although technically AF due 30th May - I just like starting new threads).

Hopecat, I totally understand as well.

Even though I've got a dd who's 2, because I didn't ttc for her, I'm sort of new to this and I am finding it really quite intense (although this is only the second month of trying.). Like you said babydriver, I've been refraining myself from buying certain clothes (which I realize is totally stupid) in case I would need other clothes soon that hide my tummy (at least for the first 3 months), etc...
That's why I thought this month, if we have sex once every other day from the en of AF then I won't have to worry about spotting OV or EWCM

The other thing I have to be careful about is: Looking out for pg symptoms. Because they all can easily be premenstrual symptoms. If I'm pregnant, I'll know soon enough.
Last time I didn't realise until I was 15weeks gone, but looking back the symptoms were:
Painful, sensitive nipples
Nausea every evening
Strong Heartburn
EXTREMELY emotional (this is gonna have to be a givaway for next time)
Bleeding gums when brushing
Dry skin, nails and hair
Dry nostrils (sometimes bleeding when blowing sorry tmi)
Restless legs (only at the end)

... Why am I telling you this again? Sorry guys, got carried away.

Your mind plays a huge part in it, so I'm gonna relax, and enjoy! (I'm not just talking about bd by the way!! Grin)

At least it sounds good in theory. Wink

Hopecat · 11/05/2006 10:44

Morning girls. CD9 today: BDing starts tomorrow.

Maybe we should all start some kind of group hobby to take our minds off it. God knows why I should need it - my job is demanding enough at the moment.

Any ideas? There's a lentil-weaving faction on Mumsnet, but I was thinking of something more vice-like to take our minds off the not drinking/healthy living crap.

Some kind of betting syndicate or something.

Just popping in briefly to say hello! Up to CD16 and still not ov'd. Hopefully the egg will pop out while we're away this weekend - but as likely to be sharing our room with DS, BDing could be interesting.

As for hobbies - well any displacement activity is welcome - more excuses for not doing the housework too! Never been in the lentil-weaving brigade myself. Vegging in front of the telly, endlessly replanning & redecorating the house (in my mind - might help if I bothered tidying it first), maybe a bit of gardening if the weather's nice... that sort of thing would suit me fine.

Alternatively, I've always fancied having a go on one of those climbing wall thingys.

maazaa · 11/05/2006 12:54

Hello Ladies.......Aunty came to stay today so am joining you for a positive June!!!!

Hopecat · 11/05/2006 17:20

Sorry to hear about AF Maazaa Sad

Hopefully this'll be the last visit for a while!

Babydriver - how are you going to BD with your DS in the room? Anyone got any ideas? lol

Hi everyone. AF came today, so I guess its onwards and upwards and looking forward to June now.

Have developed an obsession with staring at pregnant women!!! [weird woman emoticon!] Must comntrol myself, before someone bops me one! It just seems that they are everywhere at the mo and I cant help wishing it was me Sad

Patience has never been my strong pointGrin

lots of luck to everyone for a positive June!

maazaa · 11/05/2006 18:20

Hey Jusapea/Hopecat. Feeling periody and grotty!! I think there are loads of pregnant ladies everywhere I go! Either there has been a lot of bd-ing in Cambs or I have started to notice more.

TuttiFrutti · 11/05/2006 19:03

Hi everyone, I can see lots of old friends from the May thread.

Got my af this afternoon so am feeling a bit disappointed. Hey ho. Onwards and upwards.

Sexonlegs · 11/05/2006 19:58

TidyJane, I am the same. We conceived dd - v luckily- after trying for only a month. We have only been trying for number 2 since April, but I am getting obsessed with the whole thing. I must say I am not refraining from buying clothes, as that is my hobby, but I do stop and think about the gallons of red wine I am drinking!
I feel I am setting myself an unreasonable target having been successful so easily first time around. DH is the same; he really wants me to be PG, although he enjoys the ttc bit! What man doesn't!?
Haven't even got The Apprentice to distract me, although BB is starting again soon, so that will be something!
xxxx

mumtodylan · 11/05/2006 20:46

hi guys, thought i would join this thread as me and dp are ttc baby number 2. my ds came along without us even trying so all this counting the days and finding ovulation is all new to me, on cd 11 and not really sure when i ovulate but cycle is usually 24/25 days, it's all very confusing!! :)
anyway good luck to everyone and i hope we all get a bfp june!

TidyJane · 11/05/2006 22:33

Hi girls!

Welcome to the girls coming from the May thread and sorry to hear about AF.

Sexonlegs, you were lucky for your dd, mine took 9 months (but because I wasn't aware of trying it felt more like 2 months).

YEAH BB!! I forgot it was that time of the year again! I remember watching it when I was pregnant with dd in 2004 (with Marco) because I couldn't sleep at night due to heartburn! I remember watching it sitting on my birth ball, when Marco came out of the bb house and fell over on the stage, taking his mum with him!!

It was so hilarious I almost went into labour! I love it when people fall over. (not elderly people and not when people really injure themselves).

For a hobby, I found one! Excercising, I'm gonna try and be fit before getting a bump.
I'm doing the hotpants workout which is b....y brilliant!

TidyJane · 11/05/2006 22:34

Welcome to MumtoDylan by the way!! Smile

pussycatmomma · 11/05/2006 23:05

hi everyone Smile
dont really know why im smiling as im feeling quite sad really. For anyone who has seen me around, I actually started the "anyone hoping for a big fat positive in january" thread, all those months ago. How easy i thought it would be! How straightforward and unstressful! To be quite honest I feel quite sad that Im still here and posting on a June thread with no-one I know. All the "friendships" and acquaintances I have built up over the last 6 months....so many have become pregnant, and while it is completely joyous at the time, just at this moment i feel quite flat and deflated. I really thought this was my month. I have never been one for symptom spotting but this month i had the lot. Too much cm, tingly, achey boobs, waves of tiredness - the lot. But what i hoped started as implantation bleeding has turned into good old af, and so here I am , trying to fast forward my life to end of May when hopefully it will be time to try again. It just feels so futile, Im trying to be perky and not disappointed for my dh, i think he is genuinely trying to do the same for me, i do have a nice life, im not trying to fill a void, but I AM READY TO BEGIN MY FAMILY!!! i was ready in August 04. i AM STILL BLOODY READY . I know people go through worse, my sis is having ivf, they have been trying 5 yrs. I know it is a rollercoaster. But the thing is once you are on you cant just bloody choose to get off can you.
Sorry to rant but sometimes i guess we just need to let off steam.
I suppose this is not a very eloquent way to introduce myself to the June thread.
My apologies.
I am not always this rude.
((((((((hugs)))))))))))))) Pusscat xx xx

Sexonlegs · 12/05/2006 08:01

Hi Pusscat, and I am so sorry to hear that you are feeling low at the moment. You were definitely not rude. I hope that June will be a happy month for you and dh. It is so galling that one spends their younger years trying not to get pg, and then when you want to be pg, it doesn't happen. Hang on in there. And welcome to some more acquaintances- there are plenty of us!

Jenswish · 12/05/2006 08:42

PCM- Your not alone, I'm still here! I understand how your feeling really I do and I have no doubt that when AF finally shows herself this month I'll be joining you. I know its hard but keep your chin up.

Coriander73 · 12/05/2006 16:47

Hey Pussycat, I'm really sorry it didn't work out in May. Have you thought about just getting away from it all, going on holiday with DH, no MNetting for a while...just "being"? I say this as maybe it's become too much of stress for your body & I can't tell you the amount of people I know that have got so worked up about it, that went away & hey presto got pg without even thinking about it. Chin up :)

Hopecat · 12/05/2006 18:00

Hi Pussycat - I only joined in March, but have been ttc since Jan '05 - know just how you're feeling. I haven't started my family yet either (although DH & dog are obviously a good start). I've been feeling exactly the same as you, but am now on CD10, and about to start BDing for England again. Sometimes we need a mourning period - especially when we've got excited and then it turns out to be nothing. If you let yourself be sad for a bit, you'll perk up more quickly.

We're only seeing Pregnant ladies everywhere because the weather's nice and people are outside with their bumps in little vest tops. Unless the Government were putting fertility drugs in the water...

We could start a conspiracy theory club! That would be distracting.

Tuttifrutti - sorry about AF.

Mummytodylan - you OV 13-16 days before your AF, so you're probably OVing now! Quick! Jump your dp!

pussycatmomma · 12/05/2006 20:13

hello everyone.....(((pusscat enters meekly and quietly sits down))))))
My apologies for sounding off last night, and Thankyou to everyone who has left a nice message for me. I know we are all going through similar feelings on here, but it is still nice to be reminded sometimes. Well, I have pressed the "m" button (all you ladies using persona will know what i mean!) and today is day 1 of a brand new, hopeful, positive, lucky cycle.
I have at least a week to chill, help my dh with laying our new decking, drink the odd glass of wine and eat "treat" food. After that my body shall return to templedom and the bd will start again in earnest.
Cheers to a good weekend everyone, hope the sun is shining where you are.
((((((hugs and thanks for understanding my last post)))))))))))) pusscat x x x

TuttiFrutti · 12/05/2006 20:45

Pussycat, glad to hear you are feeling happier. I really felt for you with your last post.

What is persona? How does it work and do you recommend it?

mummy2jake · 12/05/2006 20:53

hi everyone on cd 10 today trying to keep positive started bding trying the doing it as often as possible when ds is in bed.
hopecat were on same cd as each other so when would you say we should be ovulating as not good with all the dates and stuff

pussycatmomma · 12/05/2006 21:43

Hiya TuttiFrutti (lovin the name hun)
A Persona Monitor in a nutshell: basically designed originally for contraception. But widely used to help predict ovulation times and also helps you to be more aware of what is happening in your cycle. It is basically the size of a spectacle case, you open it up and there is a little slot for a "wee stick" to go into. On the first day of your af you press a little button (m)and open it up at same time each day. The monitor flashes a yellow light if it wants to test your wee, and you use a special stick and place it in the machine. It will then give you a red day (no sex) or a green day (sex is safe without risk of prgcy) Bear in mind it is designed as contraception, So you have to bd like mad on red days if you ttc!! Machine asks for tests and also shows a little egg sign when you ovulate. I bought mine 2nd hand from someone on mn, £15 i think - to buy new are around £70 i think.
I would highly recomend it, before buying it i had predicted my ov dates completely inaccurately; at least now i have a hope that we are doing it at "good" times.
Hope this helps!!! There were a couple of girls on the earlier threads, jan/feb who introduced me to persona and to them i am eternally grateful! I also do quite a lot of cervical mucus checking, and since i do not have a great deal of ewcm i also use pre-seed.
Oh the joys of spontanaity!! NOT! Wink
xxxxxxxx

trace2 · 12/05/2006 21:45

hay pussycat you ok hun?

pussycatmomma · 12/05/2006 21:49

hi sweet, just posted for you on may thread. Am alright now hun, just a bit sad and tearful last night. But am fine, just a bit disappointed thats all.

trace2 · 12/05/2006 21:51

arrrg just posted on may thread

Hopecat · 13/05/2006 14:36

Afternoon.

Me & DH were supposed to BD last night, but we had a row and then didn't. Sorted it all out and it's fine, but neither of us were in the mood afterwards. I've still got creamy CM (tmi - I know, I know), so I'm not worried.

Mummy2jake - we should both OV around CD14/15, as your cycle is obviously the same length as mine. So that's Tuesday/Wednesday.
