Good Morning lovely ladies. Big welcome to Juhannus. I've been quiet, mainly due to busy-ness and not much to report, though I am sure once I start typing, I'll find something to rattle on about!
Isadorable, I had to laugh when I read your post. How old is your DD? My DS is four and when I put him to bed (when I am not feeling too lazy and let him fall asleep on the couch
) I have to read at least three stories, then I have to sing the "goodnight" song where I sing, "goodnight daddy, goodnight daddy, goodnight daddy, it's time to go to sleep..." over and over, replacing "daddy" with every single person we know or are aquainted with. On a good night he's asleep by the time we get to his cousins!
Well, the gum is on the mend, though the tooth does feel a bit weird. The xray showed an infection, and it is not as swollen now, so the antibiotics must be working. I now have a head cold though, and a sore throat, but it's nothing I can't handle.
I caught up with my lovely doctor on Thursday and I feel very glad to have gone. She is quite a "spiritual" person (compared to most medics) and told me I had been in her thoughts for the last couple of weeks, so she wondered if I was sick or pregnant (apparently she has these "premonitions" about some of her patients). Anyway we had a good talk about ttc, she still thinks there is no need for clomid or femara as I am ovulating by myself. She said she really does understand my desire to have another and there's no reason to stop ttc if I still want a child. Also, she finally prescribed the progesterone for me, and coincidentally she recently had another patient (who is 40) just go on progesterone (she liased with a fertility specialist) and after several miscarriages is successfully pregnant. She's started me on oral progesterone, but with a bfp with put me on the pessaries.
She said to start the progesterone when I get a positive opk, but everything I have read suggests starting it after you are sure you have ovulated. I would have thought that if you take it too early, you would prevent ovulation (as happens when taking the contraceptive pill). Any thoughts?
Jbrd, I am pleased to hear your long AF has stopped and now you can get on with ttc. I have everything crossed for both of us this month. It is high time we got our THB, don't you think? And, yes, the tropical holiday is only 5 weeks away. Yippee. It will be lovely, especially as we are having some very cold weather. 14 degrees celcius here, which is very cold in Aussie terms! I spoke to the doctor about getting vaccinations etc for traveling and she said it really isn't worth it, that good hygiene should keep us all well. It is a relief as some of the vaccines would stop me from ttc for three months.
Calibee - I hope the BIG DAY is everything you want. Have a lovely day, and know that your cyber friends will be virtually throwing confetti at you. I hope we'll see pics soon!

It is a long weekend here. I am off to town for a spot of shopping, have to buy my sister a birthday gift. I have no idea what to get her,and every year I buy her jewellery, so I need to think of something else. Maybe a nice scarf??
Have a lovely day everyone
