Well I'm at the in laws but I've been I bed all evening as I am really rather unwell. BFP due on Wednesday but I doubt it as I've been spotting all day now.
At least it's not shag week, there would be no chance.

Vivienne, you are hilarious! And I am very pleased to see you are also Northern like me as I have been outnumbered by Southerners until now. Well, we are still outnumbered but it helps!

Hazle I have a MW appointment on 14th January, which I think is just to test urine and a general chat about how things are going, and then I have the 20 week scan on 11th February. I am also tempted to pay for a gender scan at 16 weeks but DH says I am being ridiculous and we should just wait.

a tip to pregnant ladies - if your normal bras don't fit any more, borrowing one that's just bigger and doesn't fit properly either from a friend or mum is not an answer. I did that yesterday and ended up with a massive back ache - as I didn't do anything else differently, I can only deduct it must have been the bra.

Hm, an extra scan, you say Rach. I think I'll want to do that too - holidays on 9th of Feb and would be good to see that everything is still ok before that. I have doctors appointments every month but as said, I don't think I'll get a scan every time as well.

Just popping in to say good luck to quod - scan day! I've just had my bloods taken and am waiting for mine at midday. Shitting it. And feeling slightly delirious after no sleep on plane and barely any sleep the night before. Left hotel 26 hours ago and just want my bed - too old for these shenanigans!

I have on odd symptom, doesnt exactly sound pregnancy related and sorry for tmi but im horny like all the time at the mo...bit random as its way past OV....guess my OH is just lucky lol.

Hazle I wish my normal bras didn't fit! I was starting to get worried that BF would be out for me as my boobs haven't grown at all, but I had a chat with SIL yesterday and she told me hers didn't grow any bigger both times but she has still successfully BF 2 babies so I feel a bit better now.

I think the cost of a private scan is money well spent for peace of mind, especially if you're going away, and I think most places will tell you the sex after 16 weeks. I aren't going anywhere but I just really want to know the gender and it's only £79. DH thinks it is a waste of money when we are low risk and problem free (touch wood) but is going on a snowboarding holiday mid January so I might just have one while he is gone.

I had a lovely hike in temp this morning just to confirm I ov'd yesterday. I feel so triumphant knowing I have four days' worth of sperm up there and we managed to DTD as I was ovulating, too! They do say, however, that sperm needs a good ten hours of being in situ before the egg is released. Any opinions? I so want yesterday's semen to count especially as it caused me so much discomfort as it was leaking out

Rach as far as I've heard, your SIL is quite right, boob size and/or increase has nothing to do with breastfeeding success. I'm dreading any future increase, I'll have to shop in camping shops and sew a couple of tents together if it keeps going like this.

Preparing Christmas dinner here - we traditionally have it on Christmas Eve and not day, i.e tonight. PILs and SILs with families will come over and we have a card with the scan pic ready - I'll let you know what the reactions were.

janey absolutely, I was preparing myself for the sonographer to say "oh, sorry, but..". Only normal I guess.

Hazle how bizarre that we can be at such opposite ends of the boobage scale and still be classed as normal. This pregnancy malarkey is weird!

Sorry - not had a chance to read back over all the posts. Just been back to hospital this morning for last blood test. Saturday was 515, up from 198 on Thurs so keeping everything crossed it's still going up and I can get a heartbeat scan next week.
No reason it shouldn't except I'm just convinced it will all go tits up again.
