TTC#2 - very exciting!! anyone want to join??!

Hi! I am due my period in the next few days (I hope! that's a first ;)) then I will officially be ttc! Very exciting times...

So I thought I would start a nice friendly thread so we can go on our ttc journey together!!

I have been taking folic acid when I remember the last few weeks or so and came off the pill a few months ago.. I'm not entirely sure of my cycles yet, but think I'm due thurs or fri..

Hi sweetju, I just had my coil removed yesterday so 2day is officially my 1st day ttc baby #3. I was 37 before I finally fell pregnant with my 1st son then after a year of trying fell with my 2nd son at 39 and here I am at 41 about to try all over again xxx

Is your oh excited about having another too? my boyfriend is just as excited! Tho i may tip it slightly lol.
I have mild period pains so here's hoping i have af asap! on to bd'ing then!

Oh yeah sweetju he's just as excited as me, he had the final say on wether we should try again or not, thank god he said yes... I'm due to ovulate on Thur (if the coil hasn't messed up my cycle) then it will b the soul destroying 2ww.... Fingers crossed we both get our bfp's soon, I get just as excited waiting on other people's results as I do my own, lol... xxx

Can I join you ladies? First day of my period today and then TTC starts at Christmas (33 day cycle). DS was made around mid December so if it works first time then would have exactly 2 years between 1 & 2.
Though will be trying not to get too excited, it took 7 months last time

Hi pegster, I took me almost a year last time, my 2nd son was born 4 days before my 1st sons 2nd bday, perfect age gap so I'll keep my fingers crossed it works straight away for you and the rest of us too xxx

Lovely to hear your stories! if i got pregnant pretty quickly there would be 2 years between my 1st & 2nd too.. :-))
My periods not here yet but should be in next few days, had quite a few period pains yesterday... Tho as i only came off pill Oct 10th u never know! i'm hoping go back to 28 days cycles again :-))
know what u mean lindamagoo about getting excited about other peoples bfp! When my best mate told me she was preg i was soo excited lol!
Pegster our periods will be almost exactly the same hopefully! we will have 2ww together! X

Morning ladies... Well not to be a copycat and all but last night turned out not to be my 1st night ttc but the 1st night of af... Getting the coil out on Mon must have messed up my cycle so it looks like the 3 of us will be starting down the road of ttc at pretty much the same time... Atleast now I will know for sure when to get the good old opk's out... xxx

Very weird that we all seem to be in synch now, fingers crossed for lots of festive shenanigans followed by those BFP's

We will become obsessed with symptom spotting now, lol xxx

Can I join? I've been TTC #2 since end of Sept. Kind of thought it would be easy as my first one was conceived first try what a silly assumption! Anyway, here I am cycle 3, trying not to symptom spot. It's fairly easy as I don't have any symptoms to speak of ATM. So I am guessing I am out this month too. Lots of baby dust to you all! xxx

Linda i forgot to ask u about opks. . I used them while trying for my first as was told i wasn't ovulating after coming off pill.. Kept on getting negatives as i was actually pregnant lol. Do u like them? i may use after few months of trying

I used opk's with my 2nd and the line defo came up darker around ovulation but after a year of no baby we stopped using them and stopped trying, had sex once after that and got my bfp

Hiya, my son is 18 months - would have loved to have a smaller age gap but hey ho! I don't know about men taking zinc, I had bought some his and hers pregnacare but they are sooo expensive. Will have to find out if there is something cheaper that hubby can take.

I had an ultrasound scan done last month (to do with weird periods and excruciating pain on left ovary) they couldn't find anything other than that the lining of my womb was too thin. It was two days before my period and it looked as though I was only half way through my cycle. So now I am really worried about that, presumably if the lining is not thick enough possible baby won't have anywhere to set up home. She's referred me to a Gyno, so hopefully they can do some investigating and get it sorted!

Currently on Cycle #2 (of proper trying), 8DPO, not many symptoms to spot this morning. Had v sore nipples for 6 days (unusual for me) and have woken with a vile metallic taste in my mouth.

TTC #2 ......DS is............. (wait for it) ............. 15 ........ long story!!

Life when I had my coil removed on Monday the nurse told me the lining might be thin for a while but that a fertilised egg only needs the smallest part of thick lining 2 attach to so here's hoping there's a little parking space in there for u

Welcome Padster! Do tell us your story....I'm intrigued! Looks like you and I will be testing round the same time, I'm 7DPO at the mo. No symptoms to speak of apart feeling freezing cold for days now. Of course, it is super cold out there, so that may have something to do with it.. LOL.

no period yet but quite a few period pains which is good! lol. Will be nice for it to hurry up so i can get dancing!!

oh yeah for anyone on the 2ww.. A massive thing that worked for me Ws almost treating it like the fertile period spray felt like i wasn't counting it down quite so much! and funnily enough that is when i got preg i think!

Thanks Sweetju. When I just skimmed over your message initially my eye caught the words 'fertile period spray' and I thought, what on earth is that?! LOL. Makes sense now. Period due on the 14th if I go by 28 day cycle. They vary between 28 and 31 though.

Good advice on the 2ww. How long long had you been trying for your daughter? Hope you get your period soon so you can get started on #2!

Married exH young, had DS, couple of years later left the marriage (as Craig R-H would say 'it was a dis-arse-ter'. Spent 8 1/2 years as a single Mum doing that life re-building thing.Got diagnosed with cervical cancer aged 30, had LEEP, was told couldn't conceive, so we left it. Over time, with each and every new baby and pregnancy announcement a little bit of me just curled up and died. This summer I cracked after hearing my BF was PG with #4, burst into tears & went back to GP. Who told me about new Europe survey into women post LEEP carrying to term with only 12% chance of mc (infinitely better odds that the you 'will not' I had been told originally). So armed with this news, DH have decided to give it a go, if it happens it happens, if it doesn't we can say we tried. So thanks to a shitty divorce, cancer and crap information there will be at least a 15 year age gap between my siblings .............

Thanks life! No period yet, but still pains.. Which i'm actually glad about lol as hopefully that means it's on it's way! With my daughter i came off pill in Sept and was preg by mid Nov so was really lucky.

Wow padster thanks for sharig, sorry for any of your heartache but here's to you having every success in getting and keeping a bfp.. You deserve all the luck:-)

getting v excited for Xmas now and if my af hurries up i should be fertile just before! how do u guys work out ur fertile times? i generally use an ovulation predictor online :-) but bd every or every other day anyway lol> help increase my chances!! ju x

I'm currently TTC number 2. Dd will be 4 in February. Had a mc in june and been trying ever since.

Bfp due 15th (although came on 4 days early last cycle :-/ weird)
Will be a well earned Xmas pressie :-)
