Hi! I'll play with you!! Smile

I have just started temping after 3 years of ttc. I would be under estimating to say its taken over my life!! I can't believe I have never heard of this before and that no-one (like my doc) pointed it out to me ages ago!!

I am on CD 22 today and I think I ovulated on CD20. How are your temps?

trace2 · 27/03/2006 19:56

hellooo am on day 21,i think i ovulated on day 18, my bloods say i dont ovulate, but this month my tenp has gone up, and stayed up, so i think i must have, and did personaand its first time i had egg sign too

OP posts:
trace2 · 27/03/2006 19:59

whats yours??, mine from day nine are
agrage from 36.1 to 36.4, then on day19 went up to 36.80, and stayed they hope it still stays there too

OP posts:
naditude · 27/03/2006 20:18

I only started on day 9, (this is when it was suggested to me by someone on this forum!). They range from 97.3 to 97.5 with a real low one of 96.6. On day 20, when I beleive I ovulated, it dipped to 97.1, then yesterday it rose to 97.7 and was the same this morning! Thats about it in a nutshell!

Now, I'm just waiting and hoping they keep climbing! I'm on my first month of clomid too. Been trying ttc'ing for 3 years. What about you?

peachygirl · 27/03/2006 20:18

Hi trace! and naditude Smile
I'll join you, as trace knows I temp and have been doing since I had my implant out but only been TTC for a couple of months. I'm actually on chart 10 this month. my early temps vary from 35.9-36.2 and rose last month on day 18 to 36.5. mine tend to stay high until Af but ususally drop the day she arrives.
I've given up my persona - got fed up of no egg although family planning nurse says I am obviously ovulating. it would be great to compare and chat. We can give those isis scopers a run for their money!!!Wink

trace2 · 27/03/2006 20:26

hi peachy, well i am waiting for to see gyny on 10th april, hoping they put me on clomid,i have never had a rise befor its always been 36.1, to 36.4, so am a little excited that i think i ovulated, nadi you could have had implantationWink,

peachy does yours dip just brfor af?? i have read that if it stays high for 18 days your pg, and if you get too diffrent rises thats also a sign, ie your highs are 36.80, then after 5 days it goes too 37

OP posts:
peachygirl · 27/03/2006 20:50

The NFP nurse showed me a chart for somone who is pregnant and the temps are high.

Peachygirl & Trace2 - I was going to say, i have 'Taking charge of your fertility' and its my bible! I read it every night. Bought it off ebay for a couple of quid. Loads of useful charts in there.

Peachy - I was concerned that the nurse said that you were obviously ovulating. Your temps sound good if they stay high after you think you ov. I suggest you ask for some further tests. I have always found the OPK accurate. Bought them from ebay too!! About a fiver for 25. I need loads as i have irregular cycles so i could be testing some months for 12 - 15 days! Have gone through hundreds!

Anyway, the book says you can be almost (but not entirely) certain of ovulating by your egg white cervical fluid, your temp shift and your cervical position. So how's your fluid???!!! Grin Should be egg white for about 2 days just before your temp shift.

Unfortunatley, my first month on clomid and one of the side effects is that it dries up your cervical fluid. So I didn't see much egg white! (TMI) Blush I did have a pos ov strip on friday (CD20) so I'm assuming I ovulated on saturday. However, DP got a bit of stage fright over the weekend so it'll be a slim chance of us getting lucky this month.

I've got a blood test on friday so I'll find out if i def ov'd.

P.S I'm using a digital therm from boots.

Essay over! Smile

trace2 · 27/03/2006 21:36

wow , the books great anit it, why have they given you clomid?? sorry being nosey, ive been trying 14 months going on 15 now, and if i have ovulated this month its the first, but gp did say some months i could.

peachy very good at fliud, she know most of it, i must say i have tried but i dont find any, but it could be my age, or just carnt find any lol, am going to bed now will chat tomorrow,. have you any children and how old are you???

Hello all - I temp - I actually do it as much out of enjoyment as anything else, I find it really interesting.

I did it for 3 months before ttc dd, so that I could get a feeling for it, and I did it again for 2 months before conceiving last time, (unfortunately miscarried that baby in January).

I am now using it again to ttc.
Peachygirl - I am really interested that you use NFP, because I have been thinking that I am so into charting that I might start using it for contraception in the future.

If anyone is interested, my temps go from 36.2 when I ovulate to 36.9 before AF. Had a bit of a rocky ride my temps this month which I put down to old batteries, and consequently changed thermometers, but I am fairly confident that I ovulated on CD 16 and am now on CD 23 - 7 days post ovulation. Today I had the dip that is called the 'implantation dip' but is apparently not related to implantation necessarily.

trace2 · 27/03/2006 21:46

hi rubles, glad you joined us, sorry about your loss,

OP posts:
naditude · 27/03/2006 21:46

I convert mine there too! I'm 32 with DS - 13. New partner of 7 years and we've been trying for over 3 years! Angry Best friend went on clomid and got lucky, so did another friend. They've both got toddlers and we all came off pill at the same time!

I insisted consultant gave me it. Anythings worth a try. I have got 3 months worth, then it looks like we'll have to pay for IUI. We can't have it on NHS as we don't qualify because I already have one! (A sprog!) But DP doesn't! His tadpoles have been checked and they are 5 star! Imagine HIS ego when consultant told him that!

So, there's my life story! Obsessed with TTC. Every waking minute! Everyone seems to be getting pregnant except for me. I've become hostile towards pregnant women!! Envy I sound a bit of a psycho - I'll shut up now and go to bed. Got to be up in the morning - got a date with a thermometer! Grin

trace2 · 27/03/2006 21:49

lol , iam the same, will try gyny that i need it nowwwwwwwww, i really am going to bed now
