i have been doing it for a few months now, it would be good to compare with others who do this

I have not been regular about temping times tbh as dd has been so ill and sleep interrupted
But tmp has been quite consistent - today is a big jump donw, even given the lax taking of temps:)
Am sure I ovulate now, although as am using salvia scope def got ferns early in my cycle NO sign of any just now.
Bloody mystery this whole thing.

well ov pains started yesterday and hopefully this time i have normal cycles.
thanks peachy girl for advice.well hubby has been warned about this week that i will pester him for bed evry other nite at least.until ov that is and then every nite until mon.got to do the work hehe.i am not too much in a hurry though.dd2 is only 3 1/2 months.
can i ask you ladies: after sex, does it matter about leakage? did leak last nite but wondering if losing sperm will reduce my chances?any body knows?

From what I read, the first few minutes after sex, are when the sperm make their dash for it, I think AFAIK if the man stays "inside" for a few minutes is best, if the woman stays laying down for 10 mins is optimum.
Leakage, impossible to restrain methinks without standing on your head!

fresco what day of your cycle do you get ov pains and what sort of pv pains? How painful and how long do they last you?

well yesterday was cd11 and pains started last nite.they usually last maybe 2/3 days.i used to think that they were periods pains until i researched for to get pg with dd1 and found out they are ov pains.but to my pleasure, i am beginning to get cm now and but mayb not enough though.
they are painful. at times like mild perionds pains.what about you piffle?

I get a really severe one sided pain, I almost always have to take a painkiller, then it never comes back after that. Feels tender etc for a day or so though.
cd 15-17 though. 31 day cyle usually..

roubles I found it OK for contraception (well it obviously worked as I'm not pregnant!!)
I didn't find the temping a bind as it was important to me to know about my cycle and I was SO fed up of the implant and the prolonged bleeding I had with it.

It's all calulated on your shortest cycle and at the time mine was only 24 days. so I had to take the lenth of my cycle and minus 20 days which gave me my first potentially fertile day whch for me was day 4 during AF!
Now my cycle seems to have lengthened so this has probably moved forward a little
I then had to look out for three consectutlive temp rises after which I could have as much sex as I wanted!! therefor on a cycle of 26 days (average at the time) I could have sex freely for 10-11 days
For me the reality of it was we didn't have much sex! - that is probably our fault too as we really got out of the habit of doing it You can use other contraception too alongside it like condoms. I also have a persona which gave me more green days - safe days for sex. I would recommend a consulationn with a NFP nurse they know so much about it ther is also the fertility book I emntionded below whcih is their bible I got it off amazon a second hand seller as it's out of print - sorry for length!

it seems that when we want to be pg, we mentally 'tense' about it, try to plan as much as we can.And when we dont even think about it, it just happens at the drop of a hat (so to speak). But i guess its human nature to make sure everything is planned and so that makes us 'tense'?
I do hope everyone of you get the ending you really want and get pg as soon as you do wish so.
well, cd13 for me and husband knows that for the next probably 3 days it will be busy in the bedroom!! hehe
i just find that when you do it for that purpose, it kind of takes away the beauty of making love cos you want a bairn so badly.No worries ladies thats my thoughts for this morning as i am watching the dark clouds from my backwindow

I woke up with insomnia at about 3.15am today, I lay there for a while and realised that I was not going to get 3 unbroken hours sleep before my alarm went (at 6am) so I took my temperature and it was 37.0. I lay there until 6 - I probably dozed for the last 1/2 hr, and then didn't know what to do. Took my temperature again and it was 36.8.

Do you reckon I should just ignore today's temps?

roubles I would go on the temp that is nearest you ususal time of waking. I've done this sort of thing, mainly forgetting to take it before having a drink/going for a wee etc and have found there was not a great deal of difference in my temp from day to day. If you walk regulrly this early I would maybe think about changing your timing. Love to all.

my temp is still down, my saliva scope is showing ovualtin ferning OPK is +
So hey ho will wait and see if I get a rise overnight!

when you about to ov, and you get those pains why do you get those pains?is it the egg trying to come out of the ovaries? or....?and how long is it supposed to last? i am still around 36.80 and cd14.but pains getting stronger.anyone can help please?

it can last a few days, looking at your temp you have ovulated, how many highs you had??

cd14 today.but as pains are getting stronger i am expecting a rise over weekend (and dh promised lots of beding hehe).but since its my fyrst cycle after c-section i aint expecting miracles just now

everyones diffrent , but looking at your temps, i think you must have ovl on day 13, as you can see the rise, i hope you did plenty of bding from day 10

if not you must get him tinight as the eggs only last 12 to 24 hours

CD27 here for me. Expecting AF tomorrow and was really hoping for a higher temperature today to make me think that i might be pregnant, but it was on the same level pretty much as my other post-ov temperatures so I am feeling very bleak that it has happened this month. I felt really let down this morning, and am having to perk myself up in order to get through the day. I don't know why I am so utterly convinced it hasn't worked for us as we did everything at the right time.
It's my birthday tomorrow too, so I really don't want this to overshadow it and ruin my weekend.

only bedded on day 11 but he promised for tonite.i would have bedded more around cd11 but didnt expect to ov until day 14 which was my plan to bed lots on days 12-13-14-15-16.i may have missed it though this month.thought temp had to reach above 36.50 to ov??!

i put on yesterday that it was 36.1, well when i turn my back on it shows what it was last time, and i am chuffed its not great but it was 36.70, this morning 36.60 so no idea whats happing, i will do mine now
