Hi everyone - I've started the new thread as our original one is nearly full.

I really hope that this is the one where we all get our BFPs and don't have to experience any more heartache.

Brie, how you feeling tonight? Any more bleeding? x

BrieMonster · 10/12/2012 20:14

Thanks everyone for the warm fuzzies. Am feeling reasonably upbeat in the knowledge that I can't do anything to change what might happen. And because it has surprisingly tailed off. I guess I don't want to get ahead of myself, having cried with relief/worry when they agreed to scan me. But it hasn't got worse like my mc and no pains. I keep wanting to say "yet" but will remain cautiously optimistic until instructed otherwise. Last time I really did know it was all over before the scan, but was clutching at straws that I'd maybe lost a twin and there was still one cooking away in there. It has crossed my mind again.

Well thanks again for thinking of me and not minding that I just talk about myself all the time! Will let you know what tomorrow brings us.
James, no worries at all!

AlmondFrangipani · 10/12/2012 22:23

Brie sorry to hear that. Big fx for tomorrow.

I've been having weird cramps today and convinced its not a good sign. More like period pain than twinges. Cursed myself by calling to midwife today.

On phone so waves at everyone else as cant remember who said what something about rainbows and circles-.

BombasticPeanut · 10/12/2012 23:07

On phone so quickie only, brie keeping everything crossed for your scan tomorrow. Lots of hopeful thoughts going out to you and almond too xxx

BlingJingleJanie · 10/12/2012 23:21

Hope all goes well tomorrow brie got everything crossed for you Smile xx

Boozeandadietjinglebell · 11/12/2012 07:56

Hope everything goes well today Brie. Lots of unmumsnetty hugs to you xx

blundercatsHOHOHO · 11/12/2012 09:32

Fx today brie. Let us know how you get on. We're thinking of you x

BelissimaLol · 11/12/2012 09:44

Hope you are well Brie and almond. I'm a bit the same today. Having some cramps and already starting to panic. I know most of it is in my mind as this is when I mc'd last time. But still.
Brie what time is your scan?
Almond are you seeing mw?

BraveLilBear · 11/12/2012 10:57

Hey there bladies... Everything crossed for you today Brie, thinking of you.

Almond and BLol cramps are scary. But they're not always bad. I was getting quite uncomfortable mystery cramps this time last week that was really stressing me out. At the weekend, I decided to switch my prenatal vits to plain folic acid.

May be coincidence, but the lack of iron means that I'm not getting as constipated and cramps have all but gone, just getting the odd twinges. Side effect is I feel more tired and more sicky which I'm not entirely devastated about as it seems 'reassuring' but point is, cramps can be millions of things, not just pg related.

Fx they ease up soon.

BumpKitty · 11/12/2012 11:04

Thinking of you brie no pain is a good sign xx

bunchofposy · 11/12/2012 15:29

Brie I am sorry to hear you're having a worrying time. Hope the scan went well today - keep us posted.

Almond I like the name Almond. Am thinking of changing back to posy actually - I have been called bunchof on a few posts and don't feel like me! But too paranoid to drop the b quite just yet!

Hello everyone else!

bunchofposy · 11/12/2012 15:31

ps Almond and Lol I had those kind of cramps with my first pg so think that's normal. None so far this time, so I'm a bit jealous Xmas Grin

BrieMonster · 11/12/2012 15:55

All ok thanks everyone. Means a lot to have everyone wishing me well!

I didn't see much on the scan as was trying with all my might not to pee on the poor woman. But DP saw the heartbeat and measured fine, just a couple of days behind where I thought.

So, thanks again! almond and lol I hope you are both feeling ok by now. Am off for a lie down after all this panic/excitement.

BrieMonster · 11/12/2012 15:56

That was one hell of a way to get the early scan I said I didn't want though eh?

blundercatsHOHOHO · 11/12/2012 16:08

Hooray, brie! Really pleased for you. A sac and a heartbeat, how lovely and reassuring.

blundercatsHOHOHO · 11/12/2012 16:15

Cd 1 here (hooray!)

IBelieveInPink · 11/12/2012 16:19

Yay Brie!!! V pleased :)

And Blunder, woohoo! What was that, 6 weeks? It is such a relief isn't it.

I am v tempted to buy some ovulation stick today. Have been avoiding, as they Soo expensive, but willpower not strong today.....

blundercatsHOHOHO · 11/12/2012 16:35

Thanks pink. I thought it was 5 weeks but just worked it out and only 4!! (ERPC was on 13th Nov). So pleased I nearly cried. Hasn't done anywhere near a LA yet but there's blood so I'm counting it, even if it's only a little'un.

Have you considered/tried amazon ones? There's a bundle on there for a fiver, but I've never done any opk-ing myself...

Bakingtins · 11/12/2012 17:09

Brie so pleased to hear it was good news!

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 11/12/2012 17:16

Saw fab news Brie! And thank you so much for my lovely wrapped "Christmas present" of a clear blue conception indicator, it was very kind of you, and you really didn't have to send it while you were stressed out, so thanks a lot. Xmas Smile hopefully when I'm not so skint I can repay you with a box of chocolates or something. I'll save the test for a couple of weeks so hopefully I can get to see a reassuring 3+ on the screen.

Blunder congrats on cd1, are you going to be ttc this cycle or giving yourself Christmas off?

BraveLilBear · 11/12/2012 17:29

Yay for Brie so pleased for you! So what did they date you as..../ how long do you need to wait for next scan?

And double yay for Blunder! How wonderful, and no need for any LA skirts yet either. Bonus!

I like happy smiley news Xmas Smile

blundercatsHOHOHO · 11/12/2012 17:43

james taking a cycle off?! No chance. OH is going to get his orders in a week or so's time- we are going to get BUSY. I think its my only way of coping with the mmc really.

I have a bad feeling this af is going to be really light so I'm going to doubt it's real and it may also mean body not ready to conceive again yet, but trying not to think about that now.

Love that you have a cb now, looking forward to your 3+!

Boozeandadietjinglebell · 11/12/2012 19:28

Yay blunder so pleased. This is so weird, isn't it? According to my calendar I'll ov on the 18th which is the one day I'm away from home, although DH helpfully pointed out this morning that we could DtD before work. He was all for setting alarms and everything. Thinking he might change his tune when he's suffering after a few days of me being relentless in my TTC pursuits. Poor thing.

I'm having a good day though - my sister's got engaged today, and I can't help think how cute a toddler flower girl/page boy would be Smile

BumpKitty · 11/12/2012 20:32

Hi all, fantastic news brie i bet you are knackered after all the waiting and expectation - make sure you take it easy.

and blunder cd1 that's fab, just when I thought it was safe to go back in the bedroom my AF started up again - albeit very lightly so I'm not sure what's going on there. - and sorry for guessing your joke so early here's one for you...

'what did one snowman say to the other snowman?

pink i get opks from ebay - £2.99 for 30.

booze i think you are more likely to get pg dtd just before ovulation as then the sperm is ready and waiting so if you go for it on the 17th you should have a good chance Xmas Grin and congratulations for your sister

blundercatsHOHOHO · 11/12/2012 22:14

Hey anda, nice one about your good day and lovely news about your sister too. Like kitty says, sounds like dtd on 17th (and before) should be good but why not go for a morning sesh too? I like your DHs attitude about setting the alarm. Need to train mine to have that sort of conviction.

Hi kitty, sorry to hear you're having wtf af too. I guess it's totally understandable that things are up the creek for us but it's frustrating nonetheless though eh? Just want to get back to normal.

I laughed that you knew my punch line. Don't know yours though but hoping it involves snowballs so, I don't know, what did one snowman say to the other snowman?
