Hi everyone - I've started the new thread as our original one is nearly full.

I really hope that this is the one where we all get our BFPs and don't have to experience any more heartache.

OP posts:
BrieMonster · 09/12/2012 14:11

Sent you a message james, just in case you don't check that, as I don't!

AlmondFrangipani · 09/12/2012 15:21

Hi Girls,

Been having some trouble with the app so havent been able to get on for a couple of days. Sorry to hear those of you who are having a crap time. James that sounds stressful but at least there is a way out. Shame Christmas is in between isnt it! Peanut are you sure? I thought I was getting my AF for a week then BFP? Not over until she shows...Baking sorry to hear you got AF. I have been worried about having an August baby but guess cant change that now Xmas Wink.

Kitty sorry to hear about your Mum. Hope you are holding up.

Lol what a crap time to have to deal with that! Lovely to hear about your appointment/scan. I am going to give them a call next week. I am 6 weeks Tuesday so I will be past the last time I started bleeding which makes me feel a bit happier. How are your symptoms? I have started to get a touch of nausea and already had to upgrade to my 'maternity' mahoosive bra Xmas Shock!

I feel I should change my name to a B name. Any suggestions??

BelissimaLol · 09/12/2012 18:55

The app also keeps crashing on me which is becoming very frustrating.
Almond I'm glad you feel the same about passing mc point. I know it's silly really but I can't help it.
I'm just feeling hugely tired and hungry. Boobs sore but not big. Sometimes I feel a tad queasy but nothing major.
We had B names for bfp luck so if you prefer to stick to almond you might just be ok Grin

Bakingtins · 09/12/2012 19:49

Almond I don't think you need a B name as you are already BFP but if you feel you need the extra luck how about something to do with BAkewell tarts as they are almondy?
I obviously changed mine too late in the day for this month but it will bring me luck for January-September Wink

GaryBuseysTeeth · 09/12/2012 20:17

I was going to suggest BakewellTart...but I didn't want to call you a tart. [hblush]

Congrats on the darker line James, hope things get unstressful for you soon!
Kitty, how are you today?

Wine for baking
Hope everyone has had a good Sunday?

I don't drink very often but since getting bfp...I am craving liqueurs?! Only ever had a sip of Baileys in my life!

BombasticPeanut · 09/12/2012 20:40

Hey Almond ooh I like BakewellTarts Grin. I'm pretty sure, AF hasn't been particularly consistent for me but (quick check that you're not eating) quite a lot of brown discharge says she's well on her way. If she hasn't arrived with a vengeance by Weds I'll poas anyway, but I think I'm better off bowing out gracefully now than pinning my hopes on a late implantation bleed. I've had my little cry/mourn for this month and been out to poundland and bought ov sticks and a thermometer. I'm going to chart the CRAP out of this cycle, no way any more eggs are getting past me! (I don't know what the thermometer's for, but just having one makes me feel ever so fertile)

Good to hear you and blol both feel a bit rubbish in the best possible way!

James that sounds rubbish, still at least better times are round the corner. Glad your line is getting darker!

Bakingtins that must be it, we clearly just missed the B boat this month January has our BFPs written all over it! (plus we get to drink all the other girls' booze, and eat their cheese at Christmas - every cloud..)

Now, if all my friends could just refrain from announcing pregnancies, posting about how crap being pregnant is on Facebook, or waving cute baby photos in my face, I might just make it through the festive season alive! (present company excepted, obviously - BFPs on here actually cheer me up Grin)

BumpKitty · 09/12/2012 20:58

Hi all, thanks for your thoughts xxx
I'm doing ok, I've had a manic weekend as my DD turns 2 on the 18th and we had an early party for her on Saturday, it was lovely but lots of work! What are the odds that I won't get my BFP till March/April and have another Christmas pudding Xmas Smile
James that's ace regarding the darker line, sorry you're having money worries, how old are your children? I'm sure you'll still make Christmas very special for them.
Almond I like bakewelltart too Xmas Smile
Gary I thought you were meant to crave the things you needed to build a baby (very advanced biology there) so your baby obviously needs a bit of liqueur Xmas Grin
thunder I have just been to do a stock check of opks and I am stocked to the gunnels so may as well use them! With DD I ovulated on CD22(!) and would have had no idea without the opks but I think I ovulated on CD14 with the mc pg. Hmm, I have only had 3 AFs since March 2010 as I was breastfeeding DD forever and only got my period back in June this year then was pg by August so no idea what my cycles will be like. I think I'll just dtd every other day to give us the best chance

BumpKitty · 09/12/2012 21:04

ooh Bpeanut I was just thinking about temperature taking, but I have no idea either! (and no thermometer Confused) and sorry if it sounded crap telling you you'd only been trying for one month I understand that it must feel like ages already. Why not try the shag every other day plan? I endorse it whole heartedly Xmas Grin

Warning - controversial idea coming up... what if the 'B' names were for August babies and we now need 'C' names for September bumps!?

BettyFlutterbly · 09/12/2012 21:06

Hi girls. Sorry there are lots of people having a tough time at the moment.
James if it's any help at all, me and my sisters went through some very poor times when we were growing up and my mam always made a huhe effort to male xmas really special for us (not with material stuff particularly) and I have such lovely family memories even though I'm sure my parents were stressed out!
I hope your line keeps getting darker.

Sorry about af peanut I hope it's npt really her.

Almond I'll be five weeks on Tues so just a week behind you. I passed my milestone today but still feeling quite anxious.

I've ordered two cbdigis on amazon as they cost 16? each over here in Spain! Had a bit of sickliness and am totally exhausted, both have been welcomed for now!

Hi to anyone I've missed.

BombasticPeanut · 09/12/2012 21:33

Ha Bump it feels like FOREVER but I do have a tendency to blow it out of proportion when I'm feeling all hormonal and emotional. Just hoping so much that BFP comes along before my old due date - got two more tries! Shifts tend to get in the way of regular shag patterns so off to google exactly where I need to stick this thermometer and when...

'C' names eh....oh dear I'm rubbish at names. Little help? Might go with CalamityPeanut the way I'm feeling at the moment! I'm automatically going down the cat-themed route for you but that's not very imaginative...

Hope all milestones are passed without incident ladies!

Boozeandadietjinglebell · 09/12/2012 21:34

James glad the line's getting darker - brilliant! I'm sure your kids will have an amazing Christmas. How old are they?

BumpKitty first of all, I'm sorry to hear about your mum. It's such a hard thing to go through, and it sounds like you're doing a great job. Hugs... Secondly - noooooo. I've only just got me a b name!! How do we know c will be the charm?! First BFP of the month and we switch to whatever their's begins with?!

Peanut I shouldn't laugh at your pity AF shopping, but it made me smile. The month I got my BFP I was so convinced it would be negative that I had a little pity party in boots and bought OPKs, conceive plus and tampax. Tragic little shopping basket that!

Hi to everyone else - hope you've had lovely weekends xx

BumpKitty · 09/12/2012 21:41

yes i like that plan regarding the names booze lets go with that :)

BombasticPeanut · 09/12/2012 21:42

Booze haha pity party, it totally was. Sad little me rocking up to the counter with four packs of pregnancy tests, four packs of ov tests, pantyliners with a label in Russian and a thermometer, trying to look nonchalant. And then impulse bought a bag of liquorice allsorts and had to scrabble for the extra pound. Checkout girl was all of twelve, could almost see the thought bubble saying 'oh dear, you're far too old and greedy to be allowed to have sex still' hahaha!

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 09/12/2012 22:32

Oh god it is funny buying pg tests, or even ov sticks. When I was in tesco yesterday buying mine, casually hidden amidst the food shopping, I could feel the overly made up cashier's eyes sliding from the tests to me (overweight, ratty, alternately pleading/threatening kids to stop bickering) to the kids whose raison d'être is TELLING at the moment ("she's looking at me" "he called me a circle" "she grabbed my coat" etc etc) I can imagine what she thought about my potential bfp! lol Grin

Thanks for the messages, we'll be ok when the money comes through, just need to hang on and manage til then. The kids are 2.5 and 5, so at least they aren't asking for iPads and wii's! She wants a dolls house (got it) he wants a train set (almost got) so I'm sure they'll be happy enough.

Brie thanks for the pm, I'll reply now x

BumpKitty · 09/12/2012 22:50

'he called me a circle' Xmas Grin that's ace!. DD is very contrary and I do enjoy winding her up! Today we had a 3 minute conversation which went 'you're a rainbow', 'no, you're a rainbow', 'no, you're a rainbow' and repeat...

IBelieveInPink · 10/12/2012 10:43

Just catching up on all the goings on while I have been away! Wow you ladies can chat :)

Booze and bump, fab news at afs, although sorry it sounded rough for both of you. Lols at 'doing a Laura Ashley!' mine was also (tmi) heavy and short, although just had another bit of spotting 2 days after I thought it was all done?! Wtf?! Ah well, I guess not going to be normal for a while, on the plus side, am back in the game now! DH is on a strict rota of dtd, hoping for a BFP for new year. Yay!

Blunder how are you getting on? Any sign of af yet? Sorry I'm sure you have said but there is lots to catch up on!

Lovely to see bfps still coming, and everyone getting on well! :)

BraveLilBear · 10/12/2012 12:44

Hello all. Just driving by with a sleigh full of hugs for everyone who's feeling Xmas Sad at the moment.

Remember to enjoy the present (and the presents) and that this too will pass.

That is all Xmas Grin

blundercatsHOHOHO · 10/12/2012 12:48

Hello all Grin at shopping stories, and being called a circle or a rainbow. I'm going to use them as my next insults.

I'm ok thanks pink, no, no af here. Just had colour in cm for a few days, really that's the only way to describe it. On other weird symptoms, I used to always get dried blood in my right nostril when I got af. On the cycle I got pg, had it mid cycle (implantation bleeding from the nose?). Anyway, I got it last night a bit. It must be linked to hormones and so I have no idea what it means but just thought I'd put it out there. Anyone else get anything strange like this?

Here's to new year bfps Wine

BrieMonster · 10/12/2012 13:00

Well Fuck-a-duck as I like to say when I'm feeling proper. Just filled a panty liner in the space of an hour or two... After all that positive thinking and days of feeling sick as a dog. Got a scan tomorrow at 1pm. Wish it was today as I'm adopting a rather defensive "I don't care anyway" attitude and I know that really isn't the case. Off to get my flu jab now anyway, and hoping for the best.

Hope everyone else is doing good! Will report back.

BrieMonster · 10/12/2012 13:09

And ds has worked out that my folic acid is easy open as opposed to childproof and had spread them far and wide. Guess he thinks I won't be needing them anymore. He's now hiding in the freezer and I feel less inclined than usual to get him out.

Love the "you're a circle" line too!

GaryBuseysTeeth · 10/12/2012 13:18

Brie, keeping my fingers tightly crossed for you. Good luck at the scan tomorrow. x

Arf at the circle/rainbow insults/arguments.

I've booked a private scan for next week, but now I can't relax as I'm worried about how shitty I'd feel cancelling it.
I can't concentrate on anything.

Bakingtins · 10/12/2012 13:20

Unmumsnetty ((hugs)) for you Brie. It's the worst feeling in the world. I'm sure you know it can all be fine. I have had bleeding in all four pregnancies - 2 fine and 2 not. I also know that no amount of positive stories will reassure you unless you get good news tomorrow. Am keeping everything crossed for you for a little bean with a flicker....

blundercatsHOHOHO · 10/12/2012 14:35

Oh crap dear brie, that really is a circle. Fingers crossed for tomorrow that all is ok. What a shame they couldn't do it today Xmas Angry

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 10/12/2012 18:26

Aaw Brie, sorry to hear that, I hope it's nothing at all. I had bleeding with every pregnancy too, first one I had what may have been implantation bleeding. It lasted a few hours around the time my period would have been due, so I didn't realise I was pregnant til I was about 9 weeks. Second pregnancy I bled from 6-9 weeks continuously (cervical erosion) and again at 19 weeks, off and on. And obviously with the mc pg too. So there's every chance I'll be bleeding soon and wringing my hands over it. Best of luck with your scan, I hope everything is present and correct. By the way the stupid iPhone app isn't letting me message you back, the gist was thank you, I appreciate it. But don't worry right now anyway, just look after yourself x

Boozeandadietjinglebell · 10/12/2012 19:18

Brie hope you're okay and managing to keep your mind off things. Fx for tomorrow xx
