Hi everyone - I've started the new thread as our original one is nearly full.

I really hope that this is the one where we all get our BFPs and don't have to experience any more heartache.

OP posts:

BumpKitty · 07/12/2012 15:39

Ooh good news thunder now you'll be sure the BFP is a real one :)
Yeah the blood relative one is good! What since way to spend Christmas Eve bear Xmas Grin

BumpKitty · 07/12/2012 15:39

Since = a nice ( ny resolution :- preview more)

blundercatsHOHOHO · 07/12/2012 18:45

Evening Fred ladies! How are you all - bfpers and otherwise? What news?

BelissimaLol · 07/12/2012 18:55

Hi all
Still struggling with app. Rubbish!
Had letter with booking app for 21st dec and scan for 22nd jan which is a few days after my 39th birthday. I'm really nervous and hoping I get there with good news.
Had the shittiest day ever. Had to interview 4 of my staff and send 3 of them to potential disciplinaries. Even with my reputation for being a bitch which is probably true I still hate all this!
Xmas party tomorrow and work concerned about my ongoing kidney infection which is causing me not to drink. Oh dear.

blundercatsHOHOHO · 07/12/2012 19:11

Hi lol, sorry to hear about your crappy day. Had the staff been really bad?

'kidney infection' because you're actually pregnant or real kidney infection (youch)?

BelissimaLol · 07/12/2012 20:00

Two of them just made an error of judgement but could have caused me huge problems. The third one is a pain in the ass and I could have murdered her so deserves it.
Infection is my lame excuse for not drinking. They keep asking how I'm feeling and I had to google kidney infection symptoms to tell them!

BombasticPeanut · 07/12/2012 20:08

Hi girls. Had a bloody awful day. Everything getting on top if me anyway and then had a personal disaster which broke the camel's back. Know I'm not pg again this month, fed up of trying to be positive and just can't bear it. Sorry to be so grumpy, hoping someone will cheer me up because at the moment am crying onto the keyboard. Sad

Incidentally, 'blood relatives' gets ticked more often than you'd think!

blundercatsHOHOHO · 07/12/2012 20:24

Oh no peanut, that's not good, poor you. It's ok to feel Sad about things now and then, or even Xmas Sad (isn't that smiley a bit wrong? Christmas cheer plus sadness?!)

But I'm sure we can cheer you up.....wanna know my favourite joke? (it has a tiny tiny link to pg so say no if you're feeling too sensitive and I'll tell you another time)

blundercatsHOHOHO · 07/12/2012 20:27

lol, can you fire the pain in the ass one? Glad the other errors didn't cause you too much grief.

Loving the fake infection though. Are you tempted to throw in a few dummy symptoms too? I would! Ok next time you have to slip in that you also........ have to eat a lot of custard/ can't wear pants/have become allergic to washing up liquid..as a result...?

BumpKitty · 07/12/2012 20:29

Oh BPeanut sorry you're feeling so crap. Remind me of your stats, was this your first pg? and how long ago was it? Are your periods back to normal?

How do you know about the blood relatives thing? are you medical?

As we're all sharing crap days I will share mine with you. My mum is very seriously ill and not getting better. Really the mc has been the icing on the cake of a really shit few months. On the day before my ERPC my dad was taking my Mum into one hospital then coming to pick me up from my one. He had to do some work today (self employed) so I went to look after my mum. It was fine and we had a nice time together it's just generally so horrendous how quickly she has become so ill. Anyway, all this gives me perspective about everything else - usually I compartmentalise everything as this helps me to cope but there is a danger I haven't grieved properly for this mc as I'm too busy being devastated about my mum.

blundercatsHOHOHO · 07/12/2012 20:32

Oh bump poor poor you, that is so hard Thanks

What a strain on you and your family it must be x x x

BombasticPeanut · 07/12/2012 20:44

Aw bump that's so rubbish, I'm so sorry. Puts my troubles in perspective! Sending you cyber hugs.

Feel a bit bad banging on now Blush but since you asked, yes it was our first pg. mc at 10wk at beginning aug. af came back properly for first time last month, so was pretty hopeful for a bfp for crimble, but just not feeling it now!

I'm a student midwife, hence intimate knowledge of booking paperwork. Don't usually mention it in case people assume I will be a know it all when I'm most def not!

And yes blundercats think we could all do with a joke right about now!

Excuse poor spelling/punctuation, normally grammar Gestapo but on phone x

blundercatsHOHOHO · 07/12/2012 20:50

Really blood relatives??? What relation are they- do you know?! That really surprises me. Oh god I hope I don't offend anyone here...!

You never know re bfp peanut, but I totally get the not feeling it vibe. When are you due to poas?

Ok..joke...(and I do work with wildlife)

What kind of bees do you get milk from?

BumpKitty · 07/12/2012 20:59

Ah don't worry about banging on :) I like to get on with normality most of the time...

So you have only been trying for one month! I don't mean to sound harsh but that's not very long is it Xmas Smile though saying that I imagine I'll be the same if I don't get a BFP in January!

And just think all of us Jan ttcers we'll have September babies :) - I like the sound of a September baby for some reason

blunder I think they are first cousins - my midwife said in a lot of Asian cultures cousins marry each other...

...and boobies?

blundercatsHOHOHO · 07/12/2012 21:05

Damn you knowing my best one kitty!!

I had no idea about the cousin marrying thing, particularly that it is a cultural thing. Presumably the reason this is asked because of potential genetic/chromosone problems or something?

September baby it is then. If I ever resume normality that is.

Boozeandadietjinglebell · 08/12/2012 10:32

Yay for September babies. They'll be super smart and the biggest and cleverest in their year (even though I'm still gutted that my July baby would have cost me nearly a year's less childcare!!)

DH did his dissertation on birth distribution in elite rugby players and they'll be more likely to represent their country if they're born September to November! But saying that, he was born in April, so who knows!

Bakingtins · 08/12/2012 11:26

I'm definitely out now and joning the September babies (hopeful) waiting list. Christmas shagging here we come....

Bakingtins · 08/12/2012 11:29

I have several rellies who are paediatricians in West Yorkshire and get to see all sorts of weird genetic conditions because of first cousin marriages. It's not a good idea says me who always planned to marry my big cousin who I adored

and I'm joining the waiting list, obviously...

BrieMonster · 08/12/2012 16:27

Yay indeed for September babes... I am one and we are of course the best in show.
My friend's Egyptian and apparently they don't shy away from their cousins either.

Not been around much, feeling sick all the time. But yay! Def didn't have this last time but still a few days until I surpass where I got to then. Not that it's personally a milestone for me... Hanging out for that 12 week scan.

So happy to see a few more bfp's and the bfn's when they are wanted! And I hope those on a downer (not trying to trivialise) get the pepping up they need. God that really does sound trivial. I'm sorry I am just so tired. Early start at work. Hi everyone anyway.

BumpKitty · 08/12/2012 22:25

Excellent news on the nausea Brie :) and of course August babies are wonderful too and will save you a fortune in childcare (I have never even thought of that!).

So I think AF is over after 2 days! I mean they were pretty intense days but even so it seems a bit brief - did anyone else have this? And if you did did you get pg on the next cycle?

Boozeandadietjinglebell · 08/12/2012 23:39

Bump me too - pretty much done now (yay)

blundercatsHOHOHO · 09/12/2012 04:11

Xmas Grin and Xmas Envy of these afs. I have done a bit of reading on this the last few days and it seems pretty common to have heavy short ones after mc. No reason why not re getting pg for a Sept baby either- are you both opk-ing?

Yay to nausea and tiredness, brie, may you continue to feel sick and tired as it were, in the nicest possible way of course!

BombasticPeanut · 09/12/2012 08:10

Ah bump if only it felt like just one month. I've been on a hope/disappointment seesaw since Aug because even though af hasn't properly shown up she did do some teasing! Anyway, 99% sure she's turned up early this month, I'm out for a Christmas bfp Sad. Fx for a sept baby eh? Glad for all you girls who've been waiting for af! 2013 will be our year!

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 09/12/2012 13:07

Hi, sorry to hear about bad days, poorly mums, heavy af's etc, I hope you're all having a better day today! Things aren't so peachy here either at the moment, we are so cripplingly poor right now, can only afford a few presents for the kids, can't afford any presents for anyone else, we are waiting on getting some money through on the sale of a house but it won't be through before Christmas (so we can afford another baby, just having a very frugal christmas) got bailiffs breathing down our necks etc, very stressful and depressing, although fingers crossed it should all be sorted by January/February time. Just trying to make this Christmas special for the kids so they don't notice how skint we are. At least we have oil in the tank and enough money for food and electric. No Christmas treats this year though! Ho hum.

Anyway, apart from that everything's fine. I did a tesco own brand pg test this morning and got a "visible at arms length" bfp. It's definitely getting stronger. I'll save my last test for next weekend, hopefully it'll be even darker. The tiredness hit me like a brick wall yesterday, I was nearly crying with exhaustion when I finally went to bed at midnight

I have a really sore throat, sore neck, stuffy nose, bleeding gums and a low level headache, I can't drink enough, and every time I need the loo it feels like period cramps and I get a bit wary. Then I use the loo, feel better and decide I'm a daft arse Grin
