Just Shagging - The lazy TTCers heaven, this is Shaggers Corner, Part 11

Kittenkatzen · 31/08/2012 11:32

(sorry I know that's awful but seriously, can you think of anything else that rhymes with "eleven"?!)

Ladies, leave your OPKs at the door, and settle in for part 11 of JSing!

Fred rules;

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share Wine and [tea] with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo;

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.
Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.
Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce Envy in other posters).
Viroid = This is you, dear poster. The reason for this is a closely guarded secret, known only to....er....well, nobody as far as we can tell!
POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit).
Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.
Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

The link to Part 10 is here.

The link to the latest grads thread is here.

So don those shag capes, we have standards to maintain - Part 10 saw an amazing 9 BFPs, including one set of twins! So - what are you still doing here? GET SHAGGING!!

:o

frogchops · 29/10/2012 15:38

Am in need of Dutch courage on the initiating front....being as Dtd happened last night.... It's not normal for it to occur again yet! Maybe I should just let him know I'd like this to happen tonite??!!

OhGood · 29/10/2012 15:41

Thanks everyone and happy just shagging - I am going to head off and see if this sticks and hopefully see you all on grads soon. [hwink]

Redshoes56 · 29/10/2012 15:55

Hi ladies, still up and running here! It's windy and rainy, but not terrible where we are. Trees and power lines still intact. The pictures from the beaches are frightening, though. The worst is coming tonight into tomorrow.

frog just tell him, "Look. This is what is happening tonight. You. Me. Hot stuff. Let's go!" No ifs, ands or buts, miss! [hgrin]

good Big congrats! I'll drink some Wine in your honor today!

caramal · 29/10/2012 16:02

red shoes hope your plans there's minimal damage x

frogchops · 29/10/2012 16:10

Well due to my dates I wouldn't even be 2 weeks, and its pushing 1!! So I do t think is possible. I'm gonna try, think I might send the message now...

countrybumpkin2 · 29/10/2012 16:15

[Redshoes] Good luck, hope everything stays ok!

[ohggod] congrats! [hgrin]

Does anyone else keep forgetting to take folic acid! just remembered I forgot again this morning and don't think I took it yesterday either. I can't leave it out on the side either to remind me as it comes in a big packet with "mum & bump" on it! Very inconspicuous! MIL could radomly visit at any time (or route through my house when I am out! [hhmm]

Rockchick1984 · 29/10/2012 16:46

Congrats to the BFP's!! Very jealous!!

Country I popped the mum-to-be vitamins into a normal vitamin tablet bottle I had in the house anyway so I could keep them out and remember to take them, maybe see if you have anything similar?

I found out today that a good friend has lost her battle with cancer at the weekend, so think it will be loads of wine and chocolates for me tonight Sad

Still no sign of ERTD, am now nearly a week late but think my cycle is just battered from me being unwell, did a test this morning and BFN so you would think it would be showing up by now if I was baking a baby in there :)

Kittenkatzen · 29/10/2012 17:16

Lol thanks caramal but the only "BFP" I've had is an ov stick....still I'm quite please with that mind as at least my bits all seem to be in working order :o

rock so sorry to hear about your friend :( definitely lots of wine and choc for you tonight, and remembering the fun times you had. So sad.

Redshoes56 · 29/10/2012 17:32

Oh rock so sorry - that's terrible news. Definitely indulge in goodies tonight, and have a good cry too if you need it. We've had a lot of loss in our family this year, so know how tough it is, but try to stay positive. Wine

I only remember to take my prenatal vitamin because I take them at night before bed, which is how I took my birth control pill rather religiously. I love the idea of hiding them in a "regular' vitamin container! Clever. Nosey people are the worst.

AWomanCalledHorse · 29/10/2012 17:47

Wine for rock. I'm sorry to hear you've lost a great friend, I hope you've got lots of happy memories to share/talk/think about. x

Sorry for the bfn.

I've heard from the Early Pregnancy Unit, I can go for a scan whenever I want (first come, first served) but I really don't want to. I know it's over & I can't see how I've got anything left to loose up there!
One of DH's dearest friends died the same day I got my first bfp & we were going to give the baby his name as a middle name & now I'm upset that we can't do that (have only just remembered this today).

bear [hbiscuit] for your ertd. Hope it decides to piss orf soon.

We're going to have to start a new thread soon, Kitten want me to do it when the time comes.

Country, this is very childish of me, but if PIL are ever coming down for a visit I always leave a sex toy or lube out and about....DH hides everything when they come down (even the FHM magazines I occasionally buy) so it's always fun to watch him run around like a mad man putting things away [hgrin].
You could always do that, teach MIL a lesson!

frogchops · 29/10/2012 19:07

Really sorry to hear that rock, hugs for you.

Am confused at the mi people.... Thought I'd get a p test due to ridiculous nausea etc incase there was a possibility I'd caught during last month of pill (I was never good at remembering it) but.... Although they were only the 2 for £1 ones at the pound shop.... And they said pregnancy testing strips on the box... The instruction s in the box suggested that they were ovulation strips??!! Either way it was negative, but now I don't know if in not preg or not ovulating!!

Bearface · 29/10/2012 19:25

Oh Rock - that's terrible. I'm so sorry for you. Raising a glass to you and your friend. x

I think, think (fx) that ERTD has gone away at last. TFFT!

Stay safe Redshoes and congrats OhGood - can't remember if I said this before or not - sorry, but congrats anyway! Smile

Country and Horse - funniest thing I saw like that was FIL picking up SIL's breast pump and squeezing it asking 'So what's this interesting contraption then?' When BIL told him, he dropped it and got very embarrassed. Hilarious! He's quite old skool.

Happy JSing tonight everyone. Off now. xxx

Grannyapple · 29/10/2012 19:56

Evening ladies.

rockchick so so sorry to hear you've reviewed awful news...lots of hugs. Puts everything into perspective.

horse hope you're ok. Horrible as it is, it prob best to go get the scan just for complete confirmation either way...lovely hugs to you too x

Huge congrats to ohgood lovely start to the week.

Well I've had a lovely day today with dh...we both had today off so ds was in nursery. We went for a lovely breakfast in blackheath village...a nice bit of dtd early afternoon then went to cinema to see skyfall..all a bit impromptu but lovely nevertheless. Topped off by getting a smiley on the opk tonight so might even have to entice dh again laterWink

Off for a cuppa & a nice bit frI'm a huge bar of fruit & nut purchased earlier Smile.

frogchops · 29/10/2012 20:13

Grannyapple · 29/10/2012 21:08

Yeah frog it was nice to have a bit of time together. House is a bit of a midden tho so guessing that's my task for tomorrow (along with baking some banana & walnut loaf) Smile

Def feeling a failure :( according to ov calculator (boo hiss!) I'm now fertile. But for past 2 days DH & I failed miserably at JS. Either I was too tired or he said the pressure is completely destroying his libido. Never thought it'd be this hard to erm...get laid lol. Feeling panicky in case we miss the 1 week window this month & the whole things making DH & I feel radially distant instead of closer Sad anyone else having trouble or all going 'swimmingly'??

Bearface · 30/10/2012 09:23

Oh Boy - hope it gets better for you. Maybe you just need to put the Ov calendar to one side for a bit (controversial, I know) and get on with Jsing when you're not tired or stressed. Easier said than done, I know, esp. when DH is feeling the pressure. Just a suggestion but maybe try to take the focus off of TTC for a bit and try to erm, enjoy each other instead, without full sex at first. Maybe try for lots of anticipation and build-up and the rest will follow naturally and DH won't feel so pressured maybe? It can be really hard - we went through a stage of this, but this is what we did and it seemed to work. Although we haven't had a BFP yet, we're still having fun trying. I asked DH if we should get a calculator/calendar and he said just keeping an eye on roughly the right week is enough otherwise he would start to feel the pressure, so we are just carrying on JSing! [hsmile]

ERTD has gone - finally! And managed some great DTD last night [hgrin] and got an interview for some temporary work today so feeling positive. Hope everyone has a good day.

Bearface · 30/10/2012 09:26

Boy - I meant to say, try not to feel like a failure - it happens to lots of people, I'm sure. Hang in there. x

wavesandsmiles · 30/10/2012 11:17

Wine for you and your friend rockchick. I hope you can revel in memories of happy times in due course.

Boy DH and I had a bit of a "moment" this morning. We were JSing last night but he was tired and never sent the swimmers up. Then this morning he was tired because the dog woke up early and he heard it barking so was up from 5.40am..... And I got a bit precious about how he actually needed to finish up if we are ever going to get baking a baby. The he was on about how he is the only one who wakes up with the dog, and won't it be the same with a baby. It didn't turn into a row, but I think that the pressure of this is something we underestimated.

It feels like the whole purpose of being together is getting a bit skewed. I really, really hope that this is our month, as we just want to get back to the JSing for fun!

I am not working so late tonight, and nothing much planned for this evening so fx we can get some decent JSing in. It's only CD9, and my cycle is a bit WTF, but I don't want to waste any opportunity.

frogchops · 30/10/2012 12:52

This is what I'm worried might happen in our house. But then I know I need to Dtd on certain dates so I surely need to tell DP this as its unlike me to just initiate things :-/
