For myself, Moo, Count, Irish and anyone else who has had difficulty conceiving or has recently experienced miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy.

We don't yet really believe that we're pregnant and we certainly don't want to high tail it to the pregnancy board quite yet so here's our halfway house until the 12 week scan!

C'mon Moo, I know you are about here somewhere...how are your symptoms? Feeling sicky?

My nausea comes and goes. It doesn't seem as bad as when I was pregnant before but it's still very very boring! But when it isn't so bad, I start worrying...can't win!

Just marking my place for a few weeks time (positive mental attitude!)

Discolite · 03/08/2012 15:58

That's the way Berries!

Whoop whoop Disco yeeehaaaa for the new thread!! Loving it Grin

My sickness comes and goes. Then I get hot flushes, a bit of cramping, constantly knicker checking. AF 2 days late which is good but still feeling nervy. Have to confess to peeing on 25 sticks in the last week Shock Blush I think the main problem is I just can't believe I'm actually pg! It's mad!!! But a good mad! I thought I might heave had baby brain last night as I called a fire engine a fire ambulance!! Losing it already!!

How are you feeling?

Yey Berries very proud of your positivity. Good girl! You'll be here by the end of the month!!! :)

Discolite · 03/08/2012 17:12

I'm with you on the knicker checking! Are you also experiencing increased cm production?

I'm starting to get a bit of backache too, I'm only 7+4 ffs, not fair! Maybe it's a result of my extremely lazy lifestyle at the moment...hmm. Mind, the backache is preferable to the shooting pains I had up my vagina this morning. Ouch. I was only walking the dog!

I do hope they are IC Moo! I did one IC a day for the first 14 days so I could see the line get darker. Fairly cheap that way at least. Registered with a GP yet?

Tomorrow DP and I go to visit a potential wedding venue, we've been engaged over a year and TTC has made the wedding planning process q tricky. I'm rather excited! Im sure a wedding with a five month old (hopefully) will be a doddle! Erm....

Big wave hi ladies -
Well I had my 8 weeks scan (external)today 1 healthy baby and nice strong heartbeat! Whoooop! Just have to wait for my regular 12 week scan now!
The hospital EPU was so lovely and if I have any concerns before then can go back!
I couldnt even look at the screen as she pressed on my tummy and then she said there you go!!!!! I wanted to cry!

Discolite · 03/08/2012 18:49

Oh Count! How lovely! I believe the risk of mc drops like a stone after seeing a heartbeat at 8 weeks, it must've been wonderful to see your baby!

I think I would've cried Smile Are you starting to believe it is all real now?

Mind you, I am crying at the drop of a hat at the moment. I've had three unnecessary emotional moments today alone Blush

Countmyblessings · 03/08/2012 19:17

Disco - I wished I could say I'm more relaxed now but I'm not I know how it is to have a good scan and weeks later to have bad news so not counting chicks before they hatch! Oh how I wish I could erase the past and start fresh but it's not that easy!
Well I'm having all the normal early pregnancy signs!
Sore sensitive boobs, all day sickness with breaks that allow me to eat! And going toilet every 5 mins!!!!!!
But loving every minute of it!!!!!
Not telling anyone yet in RL although my boss knows and I think I will avoid work all together well until I pass the first trimester! So 4 weeks time! Hopefully it will go quickly!!!!!
How's Moo, Irish doing????

Discolite · 03/08/2012 19:27

I know how you feel Count. I think I'll breathe a sigh of relief at a good 12 week scan but will only feel 95% safe at a good 20 week scan. Only 3 months to go then Confused.

I keep telling myself that I'd have to be pretty bloody unlucky to have two mmc in a row (especially now I'm nearly 8 weeks) but I know it does happen to some people. Argh.

My mum, dad and sister know, and I'm planning on telling my best friend next week. I didn't regret telling any of the people we told last time but we are being quieter about it. I do have a massive urge to blurt it out though!

I hope the sickness eases off soon for you. My latest symptom is wind. Oh, the glamour.

Congratulation ladies, so happy for you all. Yay for morning sickness, great sign :)

Discolite · 03/08/2012 22:02

Thanks Chips! How're you doing?

OP posts:
chipsandmushypeas · 03/08/2012 22:36

I'm good thanks disco 20 weeks now so halfway there, doesn't half go slow when you find out at 10dpo! Grin but in a weird way it's gone fast too?
I have my scan on tues so find out what we're having but was told at 12 weeks it's probably a boy :)

Just glad to be feeling more 'normal' now, more energetic (the tiredness is like no other I've ever experienced) started swimming and booked in for yoga.

Hope you're all well x

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 03/08/2012 23:26

Evening ladies. Hope we're all ok!!

Count excellent news on the scan. I'm sure it will all be ok this time but just take each day as it comes and look after yourself! That's what I'm doing!!

Disco hmmm not too much more cm than usual but I am only 5 weeks. I am a lot ahem wetter below than usual but don't seem to have unusual amounts of cm. am actually starting to worry a bit that something is not right, although the constant waves of nausea and retching seem to indicate otherwise!! Not peeing any more than usual either. Is this normal this early? Should I be concerned?

Oooooh planning weddings is such much fun, especially your own Smile at least some of that should help to a) make the time go by quicker and b) take your mind if it a bit!

Chips can't believe your 20 weeks - WOW Grin are you bothered about the sex or are you just excited to be having a bobba?

Right I'm absolutely shattered!! Off to the land of sleep for me. Catch up tomorrow!! Smile

chipsandmushypeas · 04/08/2012 08:10

I think i always knew I was having a boy, as I kept saying 'he' so did DP. I love the thought of a son, I would love a daughter one day top so not that bothered really :)

Good idea on taking each day as it comes. I did poas for ages after my bfp and didn't stop checking after wiping until about 12 weeks! So a bit of obsession is normal Grin

My ms went at about 9 weeks thank goodness, was awful and very debilitating at work.

Will be stalking you guys x

Irishmammybread · 05/08/2012 21:14

Hi everyone!
Like the new thread! Glad you're all doing well with lots of pregnancy symptoms. Count, great news about your scan.
We just got back from Ireland this weekend so I'm still trying to catch up on laundry etc. It was a lovely holiday, the weather was rubbish but we weren't expecting sunshine anyway. It was my DM's 70th birthday and I met up with lots of relatives I've not seen for a while and the kids had fun with their cousins.
It helped a bit to distract me from constant analysis of pregnacy symptoms/lack of symptoms!
I'm feeling a bit sick on and off, feel really hungry, eat and then feel ill! I'm still constantly knicker checking too and worry about every cramp and twinge, which I'm sure if I hadn't miscarried twice I wouldn't even notice.
I have a scan at the EPU tomorrow. I should be 8w 2d, I'm hoping and praying all will be ok.

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 06/08/2012 10:55

Hello one and all. Irish good luck with the scan. Let us know how you get on. Glad you had a good holiday as well.

How is everyone else getting on?

Well the m/s has well and truly kicked in. Feeling completely crap. To make matters worse, my toothache has flared up again and i have been awake since around 11:30 last night. Thankfully managed to get an appointment for this afternoon, and to be honest, it can't come quick enough. Apparently only another 7 weeks of this to go Shock

I think I could actually cope ok with the sickness, but the tooth pain is making me angry and sad. Spent most of the night crying in agony.

Right, best get some work done, at least it might go some way in distracting the pain/nausea.

Countmyblessings · 06/08/2012 15:36

Oh Irish - hope everything went well at the scan today! It's such a big mountain to climb on 1 hand wanting to know all is well but on the other fearing bad news again!!!!
MooWoo- although ms is awful it's such a good sign within a healthy pregnancy, I guess it's horrible being doubled with flippin toothache!!!!
Well I suffer from all day sickness and get a few chances to eat something, yesterday I survived on 2 packets of crisps and a ginger beer! Not the best diet but at least I ate!!!! My DH made roast chicken and the smell made me sick, as mines stayed in the microwave!
Watching team GB getting those medals it's so good!

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 06/08/2012 16:40

Count I hear you with the all day sickness. I've managed some chocolate today. Nearly passed out in the dentists. But yes, as you say, at least feeling rubbish is a good sign so no complaints! Smile

Discolite · 06/08/2012 20:59

Poor you Moo. What do the dentists say about your tooth?

Count, I remember when last pregnancy my DP cooked some salmon, ohhhh, it was horrid, the smell!

I've not been too bad with MS this time. I feel a little bit nauseous a lot of the time but am retching a lot less. My sense of smell is pretty much normal, I can even pick up after the dog in the park which I couldn't do last time. I'm trying not to be worried as I know some people don't get sick at all. My boobs are killing tho. I am definitely off a lot of foods.

Irish, I hope the scan went ok. Let us know how you got on.

I booked a wedding venue on Saturday! Very exciting but i got very tearful in the afternoon. I got very upset about the thought of another mmc. Or another mc. I suppose booking the wedding crystallised for me that I'll either have a baby or I won't. I calmed down in the end and went to a friends party in London where my friend told me I should really have a baby! It'd be great! Bless her. I was the only sober person out of more than fifty people...

iloveberries · 07/08/2012 10:29

just checking that you're all feeling suitably rough! Great that you are :) ......though i really sympathise on the tooth moo - toothache is like no other pain is it.... you'll be well prepped for labour although your twins might need acsection if they're identical ;)

fab news on your 8w scan count

congrats on booking wedding venue disco

i feel like all my friends went of to secondary school together and i am still in primary 4. I hope i catch up soon!

so pleased all is going well for you all xxx

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 07/08/2012 10:37

Disco and Berries tooth pain is the worse thing in the world. She ended up drilling down to the nerve but couldn't take the nerve out because I was in too much pain. In the end, she put some sort of compound over it that will slowly kill it over the next couple of days. I am trying not to eat on that side of my mouth because i don't want to aggrevate it.

Berries you will be here before you know it. Are you in the 2ww now? Or is there a bit more bonking to be had?

Disco yey for wedding venue booking Smile where abouts are you getting married (if you don't mind me asking)?

I don't think I will be having twins. Don't have any of the symptoms; sickness isn't horrendous, no headaches or enlarged belly yet. Boobs hurt like nothing on this earth though

Still 3 weeks until I see the midwife; seems like an eternity. Have an appointment with the nurse today though because I have just registered with a new GP so will see what she says etc.

Right, off to get a lot of work done Grin

iloveberries · 07/08/2012 17:19

Jut

iloveberries · 07/08/2012 17:21

Oops, just the one for moo then!

I think I'm in 2ww but going for it again tonight as still have ewcm so might as well!

So happy for you all - sounds cheesy but I feel like youve all been there for me through this. Thank u xx

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 08/08/2012 07:57

Oh berries you know we are always here for you whatever. And we will continue to be there for you. YEY for the 2WW!! This will be your month, i just have a feeling in my waters.

Hope you managed to dtd again last night. I have absolutely everything crossed that the spermies meet the egg and implant very very soon.

How is everyone else doing/feeling? Hope we are ok.

Right, i really need to get my head down and do some work. All this TTC/Baby lark is all too distracting. Grin

Irishmammybread · 08/08/2012 11:02

moo, you sound like you've been having a horrendous time with your tooth, it sounds like some form of torture trying to remove the nerve when you can feel it, hope it all settles down soon for you!

disco, great news about booking your wedding venue. It's a rollercoaster of emotions at the moment isn't it. I'm excited and happy about this pregnancy though still can hardly dare to believe it's all going to work out, yet I'm still sad about the babies I've lost recently and don't want to feel like I'm replacing them.I had a cry a couple of days ago too thinking about my miscarriages, set off by Ed Sheeran singing Small Bump on the radio. has anyone seen the video that goes with the song? Very poignant for anyone who's suffered pregnancy loss.

My scan on Monday went well, good strong heartbeat, measuring normal for dates so little one is growing. I know it's early days yet but at least so far so good.

count, hope you're coping with the MS, sounds like you have it badly!

berries, really hope this is your month, go for it!
