NC optional but not essential. Create your tag line and describe your outfit in detail. Wanna be BESH superheroes must prove their might by undergoing a gruelling set of tasks completing the BESHtionnaire hidden elsewhere in old threads
Fly on in and make yourself at home in our obviously secret lair :)

Morning/afternoon peeps

Festival feem? Excellent. I shall plait my hair and get nekked in preparation

Saw the moment of pure love outcome (hence mentioning up fred) but just so bitter couldn't bring myself to mention it.

Friend is currently organising her 30th birthday party. About 20 of us are going away for a weekend. The email has already split into those with kid/preggers/intending to be preggers ( for room allocation and activity/drinking chat).

I've been placed in the other group. And told I'll be getting a blow up matress.

It's in dec fgs! Why am I so depressed that even my friends don't thnk I could be in th diffed group by then?!

This is all nights doom and gloom by the way. But jeez, that email really hurt!

JethroTull · 25/08/2012 18:03

Your dinner sounds niiiiice Norf, I am currently sprawled on the sofa reading Jilly Cooper & eating mini Jaffa cakes.

I've been to Reading Festival & lots of raves in fields. Don't think I'd go now unless we went in a camper van. Sleeping in a tent at my age? Hmm

JethroTull · 25/08/2012 18:06

Xpost Sinky. Sounds shitty. Where are you going for said weekend?

sinkingflameofhilarity · 25/08/2012 18:16

Aberdeen. In dec. I'll be the one with the clinking bag.

As far as festivals, I used to be a fan of a cheeky impromptu field rave. But, have also been to WOMAD. On more than one occasion. Anything joss stick based, or clothing decorated with small mirrored discs, I'm your woman.

And I've been to see 3T at the morecambe radio 1 roadshow.

Quite the festival gower, obvs.

JethroTull · 25/08/2012 18:17

Remember your coat! Are you Scottish?

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 25/08/2012 18:50

That email would upset me too

AIBU to consider buying this? The thought of the coming winter after a shit summer is making me want to put my head in the oven. I am of the ilk that thinks that spending that much on a garment is the height of ridiculousness but I can't stand the thought of another cold winter in this cold house. (Don't say move - impractical) MOney is quite tight chez nous - lots of debts.

Silly really when it's still only the end of August. But it was dark at 8.30 last night :(

I guess we could still have an Indian summer couldn't we?

sinkingflameofhilarity · 25/08/2012 19:11

Ooh rie, my friend (who lives in Aberdeen, as it happens) has that jacket in white. I've worn it when Ive stayed over. It's gorgeous and warm and feathery. Or last seasons one was any way. I approve.

Im thinking of buying a luffly leather jacket. It's £300. I'm telling myself that that would buy me a "travel system" or maybe keep me in nappies for a week or two. And seeings as neither of those seem to be purchases I'll have to make anytime soon, I'm going to blow it on something else.

And I got a MacBook yesterday.

I think this maybe the start of a midlife crisis and bankrupsy

jethro, not Scottish, but ghj (ginger hairy jock) is and lived there for 12yrs. Had to move for work about 5 yrs ago, but still see it as my adopted home and lots of my friends still live there.

JethroTull · 25/08/2012 19:12

Buy it buy it buy it! You will never regret purchasing a North Face coat. SSG had a NG ski jacket & it's like being wrapped up in a duvet when you're wearing it.

Urghh Fearne is on the BBC3 coverage of Reading looking all healthy & diffed Envy

sinkingflameofhilarity · 25/08/2012 19:12

We lived there for 12yrs. Ghj has lived there considerably longer...

sinkingflameofhilarity · 25/08/2012 19:14

Oh god. Judged turned pirates of the carabbean off (will miss end due to work), and turned on the reading coverage. Forgot about fucking smug fearne bastard cotton.

JethroTull · 25/08/2012 19:24

I've been using the mute button so I don't have to hear her say 'thanks darlin'" in that affected tone when everyone is congratulating her. Gah! Mrs SmugDiffer.

JethroTull · 25/08/2012 19:27

Sink I had a phase of buying ridiculously expensive designer clothes everytime the droid arrived. My rationale was 'can't have a baby, can have x item'. Still paying that credit card off!

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 25/08/2012 19:45

Fearne can fuck right off.

I will buy it

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 25/08/2012 19:46

I have seen Pirates too many times now, so I'm watching Dad's Army Blush

MadameBoolala · 25/08/2012 19:46

My woo Fred was shit. We all spoke celtike and not one BESH had even a sniff of a bloody diff.

If you lot are doing hippy then I will of course be your dealer. I'll sell ups dor the downers, downers for the ups, piss sticks, energy drinks, legal highs, incense and wellies.

MadameBoolala · 25/08/2012 19:47

Celticke.

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 25/08/2012 19:52

Oh yes. I remember - thysss type of thynge?

MadameBoolala · 25/08/2012 19:52

Three hundred Quid! Aragon!

I can't hang around here too much, wouldn't it be a bit weird?

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 25/08/2012 19:53

Middle English not Celtick

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 25/08/2012 19:53

I want you to

HaveALittleFaith · 25/08/2012 20:00

Who's doing the new thread honours? We're not far off needing it now.

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 25/08/2012 20:02

I am watching a programme about medieval queens. It is right up my street

I ain't doing the thread. No way Hozay. No offence, but I have tried to too many times

Northey · 25/08/2012 20:49

Of course you can bloody stay, booface! I can't cope with all the departures at the moment and I need you

sinky, what an awful email. I'd have been completely cut to the core by it.

MadameBoolala · 25/08/2012 21:05

Well that's very kind.
I will be Fred Matron.
