Ooh nekkid fencing sounds fun!

Newer BESHes why don't you do a quick into to the less new returning BESHes?

I am sleeeepy. Night all.

we don't seen to be putting many references to the Fred theme in our posts!

Euro, I love your nekked Olympic tenuous link!

And FSR, yours isn't bad, but the Frankle connection is much better, even if he doesn't have an olympic event.

My dad was a volunteer. I have nothing more shexy to offer though.

I used to have relations ahem with a premiership rugby player. Not olympic related, but best I can do.

Hello Rie. I recognise you from my lurking days- I came here from being asked to leave a much fluffier, sparkly-er site and wanted to make sure you were my kind of girls before introducing myself. Am shortly going to hit 3 yrs TTC and a poised to start ivf for my crazy, follicle-tastic PCOS. Deep joy.

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 19/08/2012 22:18

Hello sinking. Very pleased to properly meet you.

Now, have this punch in the ribs

Northey · 19/08/2012 22:24

Did he impress you with his swordplay, euro?

And sinky, did he handle his balls well?

Oh come on, someone had to do the obvious gags.

Have had quite a nice evening back at the ILs. The bliss of not having to conceal anything! And also, the bliss of port! Have forgotten to phone hospital back for hcg/progesterone results, like I promised. There's no real point now, before morning, but being a good girl I am absurdly worried that they will be cross with me for not phoning when I said I would!

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 19/08/2012 22:28

Port is POISON!

They won't be cross with you. Just do it in the morning and say you slept all day today.

sinkingflameofhilarity · 19/08/2012 23:32

Port. Mmmmm.

Once got through a bottle each of tawny and ruby in one memorable evening. Doesn't seem to give me hangovers either. I'd even go so far to say, it's my fave drink for getting totalled on.

Why yes, I am a professional in my thirties. Why do you ask?...

sinkingflameofhilarity · 19/08/2012 23:35

Oh and Norf. Rather underwhelming actually. My abiding memory is his snake like darting tongue when kissing. . Amazing body, but I never really fitted in with the wags, what with me having a job, not having a fake tan, and playing rugby myself.

alwyn · 20/08/2012 08:58

"My abiding memory is his snake like darting tongue when kissing."

WHY ISN'T THERE A VOMIT SMILEY?? That's absolutely grim.

MiL suffers generally from foot in mouth syndrome anyway. She has no tact (I should be used to this, I've been with CGH for 11 years).

I've been fairly able to cope with diffage announcements recently, it's just I had 3 in the space of 4 days and my patience was sorely tested.

And to the old ESH, I'm not technically old enough to be an ESH (I have 4 months left of my 20's) but I can't fucking stand the sparkly babydust elsewhere. We've been TTC for not very long at all but had to stop because of work ishoos. So now it could be anywhere from 2 months to 1 year before I am allowed by Computer Geek Husband (CGH) to start again. Because of course I had to marry a man more sensible than me to stop me going off on crazy ideas.

Northey · 20/08/2012 09:06

Ewww, gross. How would you ever catch your breath? Why are some men such dreadful snoggers? Not that I necessarily think I'm a brilliant one, but I am pretty sure we are all better than that...

Port is NOT poison, aries! What sort of a pirate are you? Do pirates drink port, now I come to think of it?? I am with hilarity on this one. Blissful stuff, and I never get a hangover from it.

hils, I used to play rugby too! University, and then club rugby. What position?

Northey · 20/08/2012 09:07

allypally, any more news on when you might start again? Remind me what the work situation was??

HaveALittleFaith · 20/08/2012 09:15

Surely Pirates drink rum?

Ew to the snake tongue! Nasty! I would actually class myself as a good kisser [modest] only because it was all I did for so long, I did get positive feedback too over the years.

OP posts:
alwyn · 20/08/2012 09:23

norf, work situation was that they wouldn't confirm me in post after my first year of teaching (essentially saying they didn't think I had securely passed my NQT year), but are giving me another term to pass it (i.e. last chance saloon).

If they are satisfied, they will confirm me in post and I will be able to start TTC again (will know by end of October). Alternatively, they can say yes you've passed but we don't want to employ you here, so I will need to find a new job from January (thus starting the year needed for full maternity benefits again). Or they can fail me and I can't teach any more, which would mean I'd have to get another job in something else (thus starting the year needed for full maternity benefits again). So will be anywhere from 2 months to a year before we start TTC again.

Northey · 20/08/2012 09:48

Oh yes, of course! I wonder why I thought port. Maybe because they might have sailed to Portugal :o

Fingers crossed for a two monther then, alwynandthechipmunks.

eurochick · 20/08/2012 09:49

Modern Pentathlon, Rie so fencing, equestrianism, swimming, running and shooting.

Norfy his swordplay was pretty impressive. Wink

Mmm, port. It is my winter drink.

alwyn · 20/08/2012 10:02

Yep, definitely fx for a two monther.

Port is lush. Especially with really smelly cheese.

I have been indulging my non-diffed state this weekend with plenty of alcohol and shellfish, so isn't all bad.

KatAndKit · 20/08/2012 10:09

Gosh I go away on holiday and then don't do much internetting when I get back and all sorts has gone on.

northey I am so very sorry to hear your bad news, it's so unfair and so sorry you have been through such a big pile of shiz. I hope you are recovering better now

faithy massive congratulations to you am delighted to hear you are diffed at last, everything is crossed for an uneventful 8 months ahead

HaveALittleFaith · 20/08/2012 12:57

Hi kat! Did you have a nice holibobs?

The news is still sinking in to be honest! Thanks for you congratulations :)

norf how are you feeling?

OP posts:
KatAndKit · 20/08/2012 13:06

Yeah we had a nice holiday thanks, the mini-kit (not so mini now!) was fairly easy going for a change. But he is back to his old ways now we are back home - the solution is obvious - I need to be permanently on holiday.

alwyn as an ex-teacher are you getting lots of support if you are in danger of failing your nqt year? If not you will have grounds for appealling against the decision but if you think your school are being crap then you need to make it known and also have a word with your union just in case. If they are to fail you then they have to have it clearly documented what help they have put in place for you during the extra term to make it possible for you to pass.

FrankelSaysRelax · 20/08/2012 14:15

Afternoon all, just had a call from the clinic to say they have an appointment available next Thursday. Eek! It is the preliminary appointment to discuss the treatment, but in theory I could start the treatment almost immediately.

Northey · 20/08/2012 14:54

Oo-er, frank! Are yo ready for it??

FrankelSaysRelax · 20/08/2012 15:10

Er, I think so. To be honest I've tried not to think about it that much, the idea of injections still gives me the heebie jeebies!

Got to wait for HWHNN to confirm he can get off work to come, apparently we both have to be there for the first appointment.

Northey · 20/08/2012 15:16

Good luck! I hope HWHNN gets the time off and it all goes well.

I am back at home now. We left the ILs' at lunchtime, which is a bit sad, as they were so incredibly lovely, and their house is also v comfortable and frankly my MIL-to-be is a lot better at knowing how to look after someone than AMNH is :o But I am glad I'm home, really, as it sort of marks an end to dashing around and so on. Am in bed now with some nice historical fiction and irresistibly closing eyelids.

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 20/08/2012 16:20

Port is full of terrible toxins which turn into little men with hammers when I imbibe it. Instead of going south, they move north into my head and set about hammering it for about 24 hours without a break. It's definitely true.

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 20/08/2012 16:21

Frank, think of injections as being like acupuncture. That's what I'm going to do :)

Northey · 20/08/2012 16:24

You pair of hippies!

Though I am going to get lavender oil for my incision site. And maybe apply it sitting on a ley line or something.

I didn't know you had injections scheduled, fishtail!
