God, don't get me started on the instadiffers in tv land. The only one I've seen that has been anywhere near true to life, in terms of taking a bit of time, was Lily and Marshall in How I Met Your Mother.

Going back to the "relax" comments, it would actually be more beneficial to say "stress isn't good for you". It's a little less patronising. I know what people are trying to say, and I agree that getting stressed out cant help, but it's a vicious circle.

at the beginning of the year I had a 'falling out' with a friend who cut all contact. I decided that the best approach was respect her decision and leave her to it. I sent one e-mail a few weeks ago as an olive branch but heard nothing so left it at that.
She has sent my son a birthday card (this is good because our sons were good friends), and I can tell from the writing on an envelope that arrived at the same time that she has sent me something too.

Do you know, that even now we have stopped trying, and are hand on heart happy to live as a family of 3 and feeling positive about it' I am still getting the 'relax and it wil happen' comments. It really confuses me. I tell the story of how hard it was, and how we needed to stop it taking over our lives and count our blessings and blahdiblah, and they still say it as though that's something I want to hear. After all the heartache and getting my head back together. [hmmm]

Almost as bad as the "relax" is the reflex "it'll happen when it happens" or "it'll happen someday". Oh, you know that do you? Fools. And in much need of a fish slap or ten.

But now DS is off to school in Sept and we don't have to pay nursery fees and I've remembered who I was before I got pregnant twice in 2007 it's got to the point where if I found out I was pregnant now I would really worry about it. Boo I hear you on not having the energy anymore. Somewhere deep down I'd like 6, but we don't have the money and I don't want to give up any more time iyswim. I just want to enjoy what I've got now. If we win the lottery (ha!) then we can afford to throw our time and money at foster kids or something. Perhaps it all would've been different if I'd started my family in my teens... but I didn't. Morning ladies. It sounds like I missed all the fighty fred action yesterday! We were out shooting. One more probationary day, and we will be full members and can apply for a firearms licence.

I'm not sure how much I will be posting over the next few weeks - I am travelling for work for 4 out of the next 6 weeks! The first trip starts this afternoon. If I end up stuck alone in hotel rooms a lot, I will probably post quite a bit. If not I hope that I will at least be able to pop in now and then.
