NC optional but not essential. Create your tag line and describe your outfit in detail. Wanna be BESH superheroes must prove their might by undergoing a gruelling set of tasks completing the BESHtionnaire hidden elsewhere in old threads
Fly on in and make yourself at home in our obviously secret lair :)

dor you're making me wonder if we do the sechs wrong?

Yes it's defiitniely an indignity. Like making him wear a flashing badge that says My swimmers might go in curcles

norf it depends if they think you're ready and if you get a review by the docs before the morning. Sounds like you're making good progress though!

So far I'm having a luffly birthday. We had to picnic on the living room floor but DNephew thought it was brilliant! Helped me blow out the candles on the cake :) just having a little rest before I go to collect MSB and we do dinner and cinema. Fun fun fun!

Sounds good norf. Peeing a good sign- I managed to get a tough of urinary retention post catheter when I had my lap and dye- still managed to get home with a bit of creative storytelling to the staff (GHJ did threaten to not drive me back later if it all went a bit wrong though.)

The only prob might be getting a senior enough doc to review you before tomorrow. But, the nhs is always desperate for beds..

So, my supa powa is follicle production in a way that would make sticky Vicky proud (Tenerife, or was it magaluf- the entertainer. Don't pretend you don't know what I'm talking about). Yours is amaze-balls surgery recovery skillz. Awesome.

Northey · 17/08/2012 17:04

They have agreed to consider me for discharge tonight.

They are very impressed with my wees. I am so proud. The wee I just handed in has blood in it though. Are they going to worry about that? I can't tell if it is vaginal (ie the womb lining is now falling away as expected) or urethral (ie I might have some sort of urine infection).

Happy birfday, faify! Picnic sounds ace, and what a lovely early birthday present you had :)

HaveALittleFaith · 17/08/2012 17:31

That's good news norf. Re blood in urine - could be either or it could be just that catheters can cause a bit of trauma. It should settle.

We are off to dinner/cinema now :)

What to see?? And eat?? Hospital food is blee. Let me live vicariously.

HaveALittleFaith · 17/08/2012 17:50

To see - Batman. To eat - to be confirmed but I'm leaning towards Nandos. Mmm I love that chicken! :)

Northey · 17/08/2012 18:04

Lucky... I had minging chicken chasseur, that was basically a bowl of peas with half an inch of chicken in, and a small soggy potato.

I need to PM Kat, I've still got her CBFM but it's going to be useless for me on this new treatment. If she's happy I can pass it on to another BESH.

blonderthanred · 17/08/2012 18:31

Glad you are recovering Norf. The chasseur doesn't sound quite like the curry you were hoping for though.

TBI passed his driving test a couple of weeks ago which is great but getting the bus home from work not so fun. at least I have a seat, the first one was packed and didn't stop so I was cursing it but then a nice empty one followed it. And I am getting to catch up on BESHness so no complaints really.

I suddenly want Nandos now Faith has mentioned it.

FrankelSaysRelax · 17/08/2012 18:34

Fingers crossed they discharge you tonight Norf, just make sure you take it easy [stern face]

Belated Happy Birthday faithy, welcome to 31 Grin Enjoy your meal and film.

HaveALittleFaith · 17/08/2012 19:17

It was ruddy yummy :) sorry norf just having a drink, film starts in half an hour.

I think you're alright bugs. We get what you mean. Sometimes it feels like we are waging a war and that tye of thing is our artillery.

Happy birthday Faif.

Hurrah for northey's wees!

I am v low today. V low. Can someone please be funny?

IWantToGoToThere · 17/08/2012 20:38

Sorry for the barge in, but for reasons I don't want to admit on a BESH thread I, ahem, don't need my CBFM anymore and would be happy to send it on to anyone who would like it.

I have followed the BESH/PESH/CRESH threads for ages and at heart consider myself a bit of a BESH (current situation and butter dishing my first child aside). Ok, that makes it sound like I'm not BESHy at all, but what I mean is I am elderly, bitter, a bit sweary and can't bring myself to put kisses at the end of my posts.

Anyway, I can't claim this CBFM is particularly lucky as I only used it for number 2 (and a MMC) and on the month I won with this one I didn't even get a PEAK reading, but I'd love to help out a BESH if I can.

Am too fucking knackered to want any more after this, so it is free to a good home and free to pass on when the first lucky recipient is diffed.

PM me if you want it.

ps, sorry Northey that you're having such a shit time. Truly fucking unfair

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 17/08/2012 20:59

Then why the dickens didn't you come in and introduce yourself? Hello!

I have one already, though it has stopped asking me for stix - even the machine knows I am barren. BESH - proceed with caution. They won't make you diffed :)

Northey · 17/08/2012 21:35

Your writing style is familiar iwanttogothere

Have been discharged and am really really massively regretting it. Have stupidly stupidly embarked on a three hour journey, have burst into tears on a train and tomorrow have to attend a stupid lunch thing whilst pretending that nothing at all is wrong. I can't stand up, sit down, or walk without wincing. It feels like my incision is being ripped open. I should be back in bed with my morphine drip, not preparing to spend 12 hour tomorrow being jolly. What the fuck have I done?

Northey · 17/08/2012 21:36

Sorry aries, that wasn't the cheer you were looking for.

blonderthanred · 17/08/2012 21:50

Shit Northey, that's not ideal. Can you turn round and go home?

Northey · 17/08/2012 21:56

This is the problem, blonde. It's not entirely clear where home is. The house nearest the hospital is my parents' house, and I really don't want them to know anything about this. My own house is too much of a journey. The place we're heading is halfway between, the house of AMNH's parents, who are hosting this bastard lunch with my parents tomorrow. I really wish I had stayed in hospital and never embarked on this lunacy.

Northey · 17/08/2012 21:59

Also, I have to go back to hospital on Sunday for a blood test and to pick up my sick note. Before and after the op, the consultant said 4-6 weeks, but the doctor who discharged me just now said a week. I told her what he had said and she said she would look into it, but I was really depending on 4 weeks. I can't do a week. It's just nothing. What do I do?

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 17/08/2012 22:02

DON'T GO NORTH. FFS woman you have just had surgery. Take as much as you need.

GAs make you exhausted and weepy even without what has just happened. Do I have to come over there?

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 17/08/2012 22:04

Re: the telling the family thing. Well, I cannot comment on anyone else's relationships, but mine with my mother has never been particularly easy. And my sister and I are insanely competitive (unfortunately she grew larger breasts AND conceived before me, the bitch). Anyway, yesterday I emailed them both and told them everything but fobade them to make a fuss. You know what? They were lovely. I will probably regret it at times, but at the moment I just feel relieved they know. TRouble is, you can't take it back.

Northey · 17/08/2012 22:20

Ten minutes till I'm there. And then a cab ride.

This is one of those situations where I really wish AMNH would take charge and not just take my word for it that things are fine. I wish he had told me not to be so bloody stupid and had dealt with the whole party thing for me.

FrankelSaysRelax · 17/08/2012 22:28

Feign illness of something Norf, you can't put yourself through this added stress [stern look, hands on hips]
