NC optional but not essential. Create your tag line and describe your outfit in detail. Wanna be BESH superheroes must prove their might by undergoing a gruelling set of tasks completing the BESHtionnaire hidden elsewhere in old threads
Fly on in and make yourself at home in our obviously secret lair :)

Northey I'm so sorry to hear your news. :( On the upside, I'm not sure what's better - toast or morphine, it's a close call. Now you can look forward to your c-section - more of that deliciously moreish morphine. C-sections are da bomb, basically you lie around in bed (you're even allowed to wee in bed!) whilst people run and fetch for you and you get lots of the lovely aforementioned morphine!

BESH is and always has been such a rollercoaster of emotions.

Congratulations faith - wonderful news.

HaveALittleFaith · 17/08/2012 06:36

Norf you do sound a bit high! I'm glad you're alive and that they saved the tube. I hope you start to feel brighter today and they give you your curry tonight!

Thanks DD!

I feel high! Wheee!

How are you doing this morning, my updiffed chum?

HaveALittleFaith · 17/08/2012 07:10

Yes still diffed. Line a bit fainter no obsessing or anything but still diffed and still feel sick as a dog!

I really liked morphine when I had it. I felt like in the back of my mind I knew I still had pain but I really didn't care any more!

FrankelSaysRelax · 17/08/2012 08:12

Morning all, glad the operation went well Norf. I dare you to yell "I demand to have some more drugs!" a la Withnail Wink
Just make sure you take it easy.

Faithy, be honest. How many sticks have you actually peed on now? Grin

I have to admit I have a CB Digital tucked away in a drawer that is only for use when I am actually diffed Blush

HaveALittleFaith · 17/08/2012 08:14

Yes don't be afraid to ask/demand for things norf!

Er I don't know Frank Hmm seven

Northey · 17/08/2012 08:35

Internet cheapies? Or are you weeing on tenners? Hmmm?

Speaking of weeing, I've just discovered I've got a catheter in! How can I have missed that? I'd always assumed they must kill, but apparently not! Is a catheter what you meant for the c section, donkeykong? Or did you just turn v reckless and wee on the mattress? ;)

How is everyone else this morning?

HaveALittleFaith · 17/08/2012 08:38

3 Internet cheapies work of the devil two FRER, two Boots with the pink lines. CBD ready for tomorrow morning then I will stop for a bit!

It's quite common to have a Catheter after abdo surgery. Means you can have a lazy morning. Have they fed you?

Yes how is everyone?

Norfy I hope they are keeping you well supplied with toast. I am glad they managed to save the tube. It sounds like the morphine is doing its job anyway. I've never had morphine .

FSR I have a similar plan. I must check whether or not it has gone out of date yet... I giggled at you having a good fry with your friend.

Faif I think you have shown remarkable restraint on the stick front.

I have my postponed appointmetn with the gynae today. As time has gone on, I have become more resolute with my view - no lletz, hands off my cervix, etc. I'm only keeping the appointment so I am not a "neglectful patient" as I am concerned that might make my insurers not cover anything related in future.

CamelKnees · 17/08/2012 08:57

norfy your high as a kite toastathon post made me smile. Glad the morphine was doing the trick! Good ns re the tube being saved as well. Hope you're not in too much pain today.

rie I am indeed a new camel. Well as new as you can be at 34....

faith totally with you on pee stick mania. So far have peed on 8 Internet cheapies (it was either that or burn them all, bastard things) 3 of superdrug's finest (I love those fuckers, such a clear line) and a big bad CBD yesterday which was the most nerve wracking of them all. HPTs are now like crack to me. Only 1 CBD left though. Not sure I'll be brave enough to use it.

Northey · 17/08/2012 09:05

What time's your appointment, europa? Why are you so anti treatment? Have you just had enough prodding for now? Or is it more that you want to wait to let your newly revived immune system tackle things?

HaveALittleFaith · 17/08/2012 09:06

euro I can't imagine how daunting all this must be! Remind me what the appointment today was for? Is his the treatment of cells when you want to wait a while?

OP posts:
FrankelSaysRelax · 17/08/2012 09:17

Hope the appointment goes well Euro

Have you OD'd on toast yet Norf?

Northey · 17/08/2012 09:46

Three rounds of toast so far. All washed down with sweet tea, as my mouth just seems incapable of producing enough saliva to swallow anything. I am easing off on the morphine. But my toast consumption is rising as fast as they'll allow me. Yum.

When are you next stalking visiting Frankel? It must be a whole month by now. I'm surprised you haven't broken in and kidnapped him :o

KickTheGuru · 17/08/2012 09:47

Glad you're feeling a bit chipperer Norf.

Catheters are vile, nasty things. I've had a fair few in my lifetime. One with the abdominal myomectomy (basically the same cut as a c-section) which was grand because of the self-administered morphine

The last one I had left me with a bladder infection and thrush and a hurty tube and I had three courses of antibiotics for about a month. I hate them!

LauraPalmer · 17/08/2012 09:53

What what what???!!!! I leave the country for a week and come back to find it's all kicked off in ESHland.

Firstly, my darling Norfy - I am so gutted to read what you've been going through. Glad to hear they were able to save the tube, but I'm so sorry.

Next, my dearest Faithy - WOW! What wonderful and much-deserved good news for you!

And another BFP for NewCamel.

Euro good luck at your appointment today. Perhaps it's also a good afternoon for shooting practice? [innocent]

Slap me silly, how luffly it is to see Rie, Tully, and MBoo! Please stay

And finally because I'm feeling a bit like a teenager YM (Otherwise known as She-of-the-God-Awful-Name) - I also stalked looked you up...as our newly tattooed Bugs has already so politely stated, you're likely be in over your head 'round these parts.

Grublet is 15 weeks tomorrow. LP is getting tubby.

JethroTull · 17/08/2012 10:17

Norf I'm glad you still have a tube. Have some morphine, it sounds great Grin.

I have a hangover. Cocktails are to blame. It's ok though, no work on Friday's and I'm having a massage today. Once I can lift my head off the pillow everything will be just fine.

Re YM - Back in my day ESH were all in their 30's and bitter from
years of TTC. Butterdish droppers can be difficult to cope with when your a dried up hag like me!

JethroTull · 17/08/2012 10:19

Snogs LP 15 weeks?? Blimey that seems to have flown by.

MadameBoolala · 17/08/2012 10:22

I can only pop in lovelylaura as I am an ex ttc-er now, although I'll always be an ESH. And I am 40 now, so I'm all about the mid life crisis, developing crushes on younger men and learning to play the guitar.

I've still got a CBFM kicking around that Dollydonkey gave me, it should really go to a BESH, anyone wannit?

eurochick · 17/08/2012 10:29

Thanks all. Appointment is at 3pm. The Mister is coming with me.

Faif it's the follow up to my abnormal smear. Norf I'm anti treatment because of the numbers. If you take 10000 women, around 1500 will have an abnormal smear, around 20 will get cancer over the long term. At the moment I am in the 1500, so treatment seems entirely premature. It's also against NICE guidelines (no treatment of minor abnormalities unless they persist for 2 years). So I'm willing to let him stick a microscope up me to confirm the abnormality is mild and that nothing more serious was missed by the smear, but it is hugely likely that I will not develop cancer, so I am very reluctant to start lopping bits off my cervix "just in case". I have a horrible family history of breast cancer and undoubtedly have a much higher chance of getting that one day. I'm not removing my breasts just in case. Plus yes, I do want to

Norf keep going with the toastathon. You need to keep your strength up!

LP 15 weeks! How exciting.

FrankelSaysRelax · 17/08/2012 10:56

Wow LP 15 weeks?? Where did that time go?

Norf I am stalking my namesake next week, he runs at York on Wednesday. It's acksherly only 2 weeks since I last saw him, at Goodwood, but his amazing performance got drowned out with all the Olympic fuss.

FrankelSaysRelax · 17/08/2012 10:57

BTW [snurk] @ Jethro's butterdish comment, I'd forgotten about that one Grin

KickTheGuru · 17/08/2012 11:04

euro Do you have a history or how do you know all that?

Northey · 17/08/2012 11:33

There isn't an Olympic event for him, is there? Is it all jumping and twirling? Poor Frankel.

gnu, euro has terrifying research skills, I reckon.

You're playing the guitar, booradley? When did you start that? Are you going to set up in a nice mid life crisis band?

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 17/08/2012 11:35

Euro have this manly punch to the arm. You're going through a lot aren't you? Sounds shit :(
