Yeah it is weird, particularly as they were so vivid last week. Implantation for us would happen this week so that's something to look out for :)

Ooooh my friend who is thinking about coming off the pill and using the coil told me today that her nurse said that it takes 6 months for the pill to leave your system, totally opposite to the advice I was given!

Implantation is between 6 - 12 DPO, so could have happened already. You shouldn't get symptoms before then.

That is also strange...how can so many healthcare professionals say such opposing things?

Newbie2 · 05/08/2012 22:11

I think I am 6 DPO today. Deffinately no signs today. Was really good and stayed away from alcohol just in case (only because I over worry about that).

[jumping in again!]

You have to remember that GPs and nurses in GP surgeries are not fertility experts. They have a broad knowledge of so many areas that they just can't know the ins and outs of everything. When I saw my GP about my lack of periods she had to consult a book on what tests she needed to refer me for.

I don't buy it that the Pill stays in your system for months after stopping taking it. If that were the case how come some women fall pregnant when only missing a few tablets? Everyone is different of course, but hormones have such a short lifespan that it is highly unlikely they can continue to affect your body months later. If you have irregular cycles several months after coming off the Pill, odds are you naturally have irregular periods and taking the Pill just masked the fact.

DulcetMoans · 05/08/2012 22:17

Before I had even started this TTC thing I thought the pill took at least 3 mnths to get out of your system. Not that I have any experience of it...

NicolaHazel · 05/08/2012 22:22

I don't know about the pill coming out of your system. My GP didn't mention it when I changed from the injection to the pill. She just said it was a good idea.

The injection is known to take up to 12 - 24 months to bog off though.

Everyone is different ultimately.

Newbie2 · 05/08/2012 22:49

Absolutely Nicola everyone is different. I wish my nurse had said 6mths to me though a I would have come off the pill last year no doubt about it. No point looking back though...can only look forwards.

Oh god, any DTD plans for tonight have gone out of the window as I an currently sat in the floor of my bathroom feeling sick as a dog. Stomach is turning and cramping like mad and it came out of no where. Not suggesting this is TTC related in any way, would be pretty impressive at 1dpo, but my God, I don't feel well!

Newbie2 · 06/08/2012 06:19

Aw Dulcet I hope its not a bug! Feeling any better today? After all my talk about symptoms going away I had bad cramping in the night. Still feel it maybe phcyological though :)

OP posts:
NicolaHazel · 06/08/2012 06:30

Morning

I hope you feel better today Dulcet.

And fx it's good cramping, Newbie :-)

I'm just considering whether I'll drown on the way to the station...monsoon here! :-/

I'm still feeling internally odd. And heartburn has just started, Monday blues!

Newbie2 · 06/08/2012 06:50

Nicola in the nicest way possible I'm glad you're experiencing heartburn only for selfish reasons because I felt like a nutter to keep saying I had heartburn last week :) Deffo go and get yourself some gavi today. I recommend the strawberry chewy tablets as they taste better and are a bit more subtle then the heavy bottle at work! People might start talking ;)

NicolaHazel · 06/08/2012 06:58

Ha ha! I understand, Newbie.

I've got to go out at lunch anyway, despite the appalling weather, so will look at those. I've been burpy all weekend too. So attractive!

These natural hormones make me feel rubbish. Just let me have twins and be done with it! Straight back onto BC then. :-)

DulcetMoans · 06/08/2012 07:47

Thanks ladies, feeling better now but shattered of course. Annoying because I slept really well Saturday night but ruined it now. No idea what that was but glad its over!

Lolcbcb · 06/08/2012 08:06

Morning girls. Glad u feeling better dulcet. Nic I know the feeling lol
On way to work. Monday blues plus I don't actually think I ov so don't want to get hopes up Sad

DulcetMoans · 06/08/2012 08:56

Have to add a message as it is stuck on 666 otherwise!!

Feeling sorry for myself, which has led to 'I'm not pregnant' thoughts. I blame Monday blues too!!

LisaC2611 · 06/08/2012 09:02

Morning all

Have also got the Monday blues I want to be at home watching the Olympics.

Dulcet I'm also on the i'm not pg train of thought. Am about 6dpo and feel like I did last month when af was on her way. Why can't the witch just do one???

Newbie2 · 06/08/2012 09:28

Do you think it's better to be on the 'non' pregnant train of thoughts? ...will this mean we all have lovely surprises :) This week is certainly hotting up for POAS action!! I've got tingly boob syndrome so now I have to get busy at work so that I don't make up anymore symptoms Grin

OP posts:
NicolaHazel · 06/08/2012 09:44

Yeah, I think non is best.

I wish my body would stop giving me false hope though...bloody hormones!

So hungry today too. How I'll last til 12 I don't know!

DulcetMoans · 06/08/2012 11:22

Yeah, non-pregnant thoughts are probably better to avoid disappointment. Does mean you spend the 2ww in a mood though!

woody17 · 06/08/2012 11:27

Got some ov sticks delivered in the tesco shopping and have done one. It says I'm ov/due to ov in next 24-36 hours. This would fit with how I've been feeling so hopefully will dtd every day for the next 3/4 days

Maclairey · 06/08/2012 12:06

Because i am so impatient I am going for an early scan in less than an hour and I am scared shitless.

Wish me luck ladies! I hope everything is ok!

woody17 · 06/08/2012 12:19

Good luck maclairey

Maclairey · 06/08/2012 12:20

Thanks Woody. I am so terrified!

DulcetMoans · 06/08/2012 13:02

Oh Maclairey, good luck! I am glad you will be able to put your mind at rest. Is DP going with you?
