Hi all just thought I would stick my head in and say hi. I have been keeping up with your antics! Well done on the smiley Dulcet, I had mine for one day only and ov'd that night so good luck!

Newbie and Nicola seem to be having all sorts of weird and wonderful symptoms. Hopefully you will get into a regular pattern soon.

I am 8 weeks today. Had a fair bit of nausea but no sickness yet. Stretching pains have gone but extreme tiredness is killing me. Think I am going to book a private early scan next week as I still don't believe there is a baby in there. Plus as I haven't had any sickness I am worried something may have gone wrong. Had no bleeding or pain or anything but I keep reading about missed miscarriages which is freaking me out.

Apparently if you see a heartbeat at 8 weeks the risk of mc drops by 98% so I wanna see a heartbeat hence the early scan.

Anyway we still haven't told our parents or anyone yet because we are too scared to believe it.

I haven't had an appointment through for my 12 week scan yet but I have my booking in appointment on the 21st when I will be 10+2.

Fingers crossed for more bfps soon!

xx

Hi Maclairey :-)

Good to hear from you. I'm sure I'll be exactly the same for worrying, but you have had nausea, and you are very tired, which I would think are good signs.

I'm surprised you've not had a date yet. I wonder if it's your particular health authority?

I'm not surprised I have weird symptoms, the number of years I was having progesterone injected into me...there's got to be some fall out from that when trying to achieve 'normal'!

Hopefully I'll just get up duffed soon and can have all of those symptoms to deal with!

Keep popping by and keep us updated.

Lolcbcb · 05/08/2012 14:16

OMG Nicola and Dulcet I wish id joined u earlier!!!!
This is precisely what DH says- lets see what happens!!! I feel so much wetter knowing I am not the only one ttc by myself (u get my drift lol)Grin
I went on cb site and there is nothing about the trial Sad - do u think it's worth contacting them and trying to find out? That would give me a great excuse to dtdWink if I were magically invited to join trial!

NicolaHazel · 05/08/2012 14:22

Did you go on their website on your computer or phone? A lot of people using their phones couldn't see the ad for the trial? It had been on the front page.

I just think a lot of men just don't get it. And, we research and find out how necessary it is to DTD at particular times. They maybe don't quite get the need so much? Unless their science lessons were better than mine, anyway, as I am only just having an advanced conception lesson!

Fx for you lol.

DulcetMoans · 05/08/2012 15:24

Yeah, I think it is down to understanding the process. Mine certainly doesn't understand the waiting involved. They have spent the growing up thinking they will get a girl pregnant with unprotected sex, the same as we did. Only we have now looked into the science of it and majority of them haven't.

Great to see you back maclairey, thank you for the the reassurance about the smiley. Hopefully we have done alright timing wise but I am not sure. Reading the cb leaflet didn't help! It said I would ov 24-48hrs after the smiley so might not have ov'd yet? I dunno, so confusing!

I am not sure how many they recruited lol but it could be worth checking with them. It was a pop up on their main site with a little questionnaire.

Lolcbcb · 05/08/2012 16:50

Thank u girls. I will try on laptop tomorrow as no pop up on phone.
Completely agree that men see ttc as unnecessary! As if having good swimmers is all it takes.
When are u poas? I'll do on 25 th if no af (think I should be due 22nd according to
Mc but who knows!)

NicolaHazel · 05/08/2012 16:59

If it's still there you'll see it on your computer.

AF due next Sat if I'm on another 26 day cycle. Though I was 28 days the first cycle, so not sure if I should wait.

I may crack on Weds, 11 DPO though. :-)

MumOfTwoCats · 05/08/2012 17:49

I'll test on Wednesday with you Nicola !

NicolaHazel · 05/08/2012 18:00

That doesn't encourage me to wait, mum!!

MumOfTwoCats · 05/08/2012 18:02

Oh sorry! I used so many tests up last month and i am feeling proud that I haven't so far this month!

NicolaHazel · 05/08/2012 18:04

No, don't worry, I'd have done it anyway!

More cramps today, more mild than AF. Sick of my body building my hopes up now!

No more CM today though, so at least that anomaly has stopped.

DulcetMoans · 05/08/2012 20:16

We have a list somewhere lol, I'm testing 18th. Seems so far away!

Lolcbcb · 05/08/2012 20:23

Do u all test every month? I always get scared and wait until I'm at least a few days late! With my mc I was so worried it would be bfn I didn't poas until I was 9 days late!

NicolaHazel · 05/08/2012 20:25

Wow, that's restrained lol...we would all test daily if we could! :-)

woody17 · 05/08/2012 20:27

lolcbcb I used to wait until I was late (and this only happened once and I was pg) but since mc, I have become a bit obsessed about poas. So I think I will probably test every month now...

I think I might have ov this weekend so I think I'm now in 2ww

MumOfTwoCats · 05/08/2012 20:27

Hi lol yes we are a little obsessed!:-)

Well i am anyway. I spend so much on tests, I figure children will cost me more than that a month so if I can't afford the tests then i can't afford the child!

DulcetMoans · 05/08/2012 20:31

Good rationale mum, I like it!

Yeah, we all generally POAS multiple times a month and have a terrible habit of egging each other on. Like now, I am about to start 2ww but I know nicola is due to test soon so will probably spend the week trying to get her to crack.

Internet cheapies help with the habit.

NicolaHazel · 05/08/2012 20:39

I've only myself to blame for that, as I am always encouraging people to POAS! :-)

It won't be before Weds though, as there's only just a point then, any sooner would be pointless.

Internet cheapies are fantastic. Will buy more next cycle if not up duffed this month. Not convinced I am at all.

DulcetMoans · 05/08/2012 20:46

Well how about I egg you on to try on Friday? It can be our exciting end to the week!

Where are you getting married nicola? Not like actual venue, I mean like a hotel or church or registry office etc? I had a look round today online, didn't feel there we're many options for actually getting married.

NicolaHazel · 05/08/2012 20:50

I can do Friday...may use a freebie one!

We're getting married in a Baptist church and having our reception at a hotel. We were both brought up going to church, so there wasn't even any discussion about whether we would get married in church, as we both wanted to. He was brought up Catholic though, I'm the Baptist!

Lolcbcb · 05/08/2012 20:53

I'm having such a giggle reading your messages!
I do have an obsessive personality and can easily find myself egged on! But so far have been restrained. I did buy a twin pack of cb digital off amazon for 5 quid so thought it was an investment lol.
Oh nic are u getting arrived? When? How exciting! I got married (erm for the second time mind) just over 2 years ago and love a good wedding! Only thing that excites me more than ttc Grin

Lolcbcb · 05/08/2012 20:54

Oh dulcet and mum I like your practical thinking! Surely if we cant afford sticks might as well forget about the baby!!!!
I actually have a savings acc i put money into every month to set me over mat leave. Is that sad? Blush

NicolaHazel · 05/08/2012 21:00

That's very sensible, Lol, not sad at all.

I get married 10 weeks yesterday...13th October. So excited by it! :-)

Trying to decide if I need some form of entertainment other than the disco. But I'm just not sure what / if we can afford it. I like the idea of a coconut shy and that kind of thing. Hmmm!

Newbie2 · 05/08/2012 21:26

Evening! Wow you ladies have been chatty today! Mclairey good to hear from you! I can't believe you're 8 weeks pregnant already!!

All my weird symptoms have disappeared and I can't help feeling that it's all because I've been occupied this weekend with very little time to ponder on my belly lol Only 4 days until I see the GP. I'm not feeling positive about a BFP at all but very glad ill hopefully get some answers ...finally! Hope the week goes quickly!

OP posts:
NicolaHazel · 05/08/2012 21:29

Hmmm...strange they've gone, Newbie. But probably normal, I'd think.

Mine are more intermittent now. But I've also gone into pessimist mode!

Fx your doctor has interesting stuff to tell you.
