Yay!!!! There is a bean in my belly. Everything is as it should be. Currently measure 1.6cm which puts me at 8+2. Saw and heard the heartbeat. Most amazing experience ever and worth every penny. I know I will want one every week now! DH was quite overwhelmed too. Feels more real now. Just need to keep everything crossed for the next 4/5 weeks!!!!

Newbie2 · 06/08/2012 14:04

Goes to show that no symptoms can equal to a bean, right Mclairey?

OP posts:
Maclairey · 06/08/2012 14:14

Well I have had extreme tiredness, sore nips, nausea and moodiness so I guess they count as some symptoms!

Newbie2 · 06/08/2012 14:16

When did that all kick in?

OP posts:
Maclairey · 06/08/2012 14:26

Had them for the last few weeks but not really considered them symptoms. I expected to be throwing up left right and centre but not happened yet!

Newbie2 · 06/08/2012 14:31

Oh right, sorry I must have misunderstood. I thought you were having an early scan because you were worried that you had experienced no symptoms at all. You must feel so relieved to finally see your bean on screen!

DulcetMoans · 06/08/2012 14:53

I tried to post but MN crashed in the excitement!

So pleased for you maclairey, just what you needed to see. I bet you feel on top of the world now! Did you get to keep a picture?

Roxyjade · 06/08/2012 15:04

Newbie2 · 06/08/2012 15:56

Hi Roxy! I really hope you get some positive answers or at least answers that lead you to the right direction! How long will it take to get the results back? I have a GP appt on Friday so I'll hopefully start to get some tests to explain why AF hasn't turned up yet. I'm sure its an anxious time for you this week!

Lolcbcb · 06/08/2012 16:32

Great news. I bet hearing the heart on the scan is worth a million pounds!!!!
Hopefully now u can relax and enjoy being pg.
Newbie did u say u ov'd this weekend?
I thought I had but now don't think so anymore Angry
What are the ov sticks u got from tescos? Sounds interesting Grin
x

Newbie2 · 06/08/2012 16:39

Hi Lol no I ovulated last week (I think). Can't remember who said they brought sticks from Tescos?

I'm just reading up on post-pill amenorrhea. Some ladies get given a pill (clomiphene citrate) to kick start their ovaries. One lady said she had to wait after taking the pill because she was worried about having twins. Perhaps you run a risk of releasing lots of eggs at first attempt?!

Roxyjade · 06/08/2012 17:04

Hey newbie

Thank you, hope you get the answers to . Should get blood test results and internal scan next week. Just speaking to the lady who done my blood test (she knows me so well now lol) she asked why I was getting the test an I said trying to conceive and she said she had the same problem for 5 years, all her blood tests came back ok, her internal scan came back ok, it was only when she demanded to go to a fertilty clinic that they put her to sleep had a real check of her uterus and found she had loads of scarring, so they scrapped it all out (sorry for detail) and she conceived within that month! Sorry for long post but love sharing new things with you all :)

Maclairey · 06/08/2012 17:23

Thanks for all your good wishes! It was absolutely priceless hearing and seeing the heartbeat, I am so glad we did it. We got a few pictures as well and the lady we saw was lovely. Hopefully I can try and relax a bit now but easier said than done. I don't think the worry will ever truly go away though! Anyway enough of my ramblings, I wish you all well with upcoming GP appointments, tests and poas. I will be lurking in the background and will keep you updated of any new developments.

G

Hi Maclairey, so lovely to hear about your scan :-) How exciting / emotional all at once!

Good luck with the tests this week Roxy, will be keeping my fingers firmly crossed for you.

And hurrah for Woody starting to ovulate again...get DTD!!

Sorry if I missed anything. Manic day at work.

So want to POAS. But it would be utterly pointless!

Lolcbcb · 06/08/2012 18:05

Hi rox my friend had the same thing. 5 courses of failed ivf, all sorts of tests and when she finally had a small surgery she conceived naturally within 3 months! So it can def happen.
Woody u need to DTD more on hols just in case!
Well I now have what looks like cm today. Will not see DH as he is out so I'm hoping yesterday session has something left over! Might try an ov stick this evening and saw what it says.
Will u control yourselves ladies Grin
No poas allowed until at least 12 dpo!!!
Think how many millions you have peed onWink
x

Clomid is usually only given if you have a diagnosis of PCOS. Some women get pretty nasty side effects - mood swings, nightmares, etc - so they won't prescribe it without good reason.

I had 5 cycles of Clomid but they didn't make me ovulate on a regular enough basis. There is a slightly higher risk of multiple pregnancy on Clomid, but my nurse told me she's worked in fertility for 10 years and never had a lady with Clomid twins Grin

DulcetMoans · 06/08/2012 19:31

No, Friday nicola!! We are all waiting with you!

Hopefully you will have some answers soon then roxy, and if not the lady has given you some tips about persistence!

Newbie2 · 06/08/2012 20:36

Nicola what are you going to test with, cb?

OP posts:
NicolaHazel · 06/08/2012 20:36

OK, OK, Friday :-) Though I had been considering Wednesday. Friday will be better though. Especially as I'm only in work for half a day, so if it is good news, I won't have to concentrate for the whole day!

NicolaHazel · 06/08/2012 20:37

Ooh...start with the internet cheapie, I think and then a CB if I get a positive.
