You are doing well nicola! We told mum it was too early up there though so you have to wait too! Not long to wait now. How you feeling about it?

I feel so far behind you guys now! I'm not even in 2ww yet I don't think.

NicolaHazel · 02/08/2012 21:17

I really don't want to have AF (assuming not pregnant) before Sat, as that is maintaining 26 day cycle.

I'm considering seeing if my favourite GP has an appointment next Friday, just to chat about TTC, as I have the afternoon off work.

Newbie2 · 02/08/2012 21:18

Hmmm just realised that Friday is likely to be 11DPO so not very long. Maybe I'll wait it out Hmm

Newbie2 · 02/08/2012 21:22

No harm in having a general chat but keep in mind that she/he is likely to say 'relax and keep trying' because you're having healthy AFs. You could start temping next month if you wanted to check that you ovulate? Or you could just book an appointment for ease of mind! If you book it and you're pregnant even better :) :)

I've a horrible feeling we missed it, to be honest, thanks to The Shining and the Olympics opening ceremony buggering up DTD plans last week! :-/

Though my OV pain started after DTD on Sat am, so may have just caught it.

I won't be surprised if it's a no though.

NicolaHazel · 02/08/2012 21:26

I just want to have a chat about spotting / OV and AF pain really. Reassurance, I think!

She's lovely. Luckily I always seem to see her :-) Can't book in advance though, have to ring on the day as I missed the boat for pre-bookable ones, annoyingly.

I thought Weds was early. Very short luteal phase.

NicolaHazel · 02/08/2012 21:28

And I just can't bring myself to temp as that would mean waking at 6 on weekend days to do it at the right time. No chance!!

Newbie2 · 02/08/2012 21:30

I think you should plan to ring on the day. Nothing to loose. Plus you be closer to finding out by then.

OP posts:
Newbie2 · 02/08/2012 21:30

Oh I automatically wake at 6 and then roll back to sleep.

OP posts:
DulcetMoans · 02/08/2012 21:32

If it would make you feel better and you have a nice GP then why not, it's what they are there for.

Newbie2 · 02/08/2012 21:33

Yeah agree with Dulcet it's what they're there for

OP posts:
NicolaHazel · 02/08/2012 21:37

I probably will...if she is full, I'll find out her next Saturday and book for that. :-)

After being so calm about no OPKs, I'm currently doing my own head in now about POAS!

DulcetMoans · 02/08/2012 22:02

You have done well though! And you are very close.

Not sure whether my CB sticks will work then following what newbie said about time of day. I do it all FMU before potting it up so might not get picked up anyway!

NicolaHazel · 02/08/2012 22:06

I could only get a result on the cheap ones with FMU, but then never did a lunch test to see what happened!

I think it may all be hit and miss somewhat.

DulcetMoans · 02/08/2012 22:21

Yeah, I feel a lot more accepting of that this month. Much less planning going on but I think it's because the proposal has taken my mind off it. You could get the timing perfect and still not be successful. It's a lottery!

NicolaHazel · 02/08/2012 22:24

Our timing has been spot on, bar this month, without success. So just no guarantees at all.

I'm more accepting of the stats this months too. Has made me more relaxed about it all.

Newbie2 · 03/08/2012 06:17

Morning. I also think the OpKs are a bit hit and miss after what happened to me this month. The CBFM seems more reliable with FMU but maybe that's because it detects two hormones rather then just LH.

OP posts:
NicolaHazel · 03/08/2012 06:30

That is probably it, Newbie.

Stitch-type feeling - but lower - today. My body is determined to makes itself known post-BC...it needn't bother!

How are you, Newbie?

Who's next to POAS?

LisaC2611 · 03/08/2012 07:50

Ooo only a week to go nicola then u can scratch that itch to poas Grin

Been some interesting stuff on here last couple of days - thanks newbie

I'm still waiting for drs letter to tell me results of my test before I make my next drs appt and ask for fertility tests. Def think I'm out again this month. I'm 4/5 dpo but getting af symptoms already grrr Angry

NicolaHazel · 03/08/2012 07:59

That's early, Lisa...sure it isn't implantation or something?

I've not been imagining had symptoms this month in the 2WW. Just a few pains, which are nothing.

Roll on next week.

Are you feeling positive about your tests, or nervous, Lisa?

DulcetMoans · 03/08/2012 08:23

Did they say how long you would have to wait lisa?

So it is you next then nicola, I'm sure that won't help with you need to POAS though!

I'm in a TTC/wedding quandary... What to do?! Why did he have to propose, he's made it more difficult!

PuppyMummy · 03/08/2012 08:35

dulcet, what's ur quandary? possibly like us? ( apologies if I'm wrong and have missed something further back).

we got engaged last Nov but have decided to wait to get married cos ttc. feel we can get married anytime but am nearly 32 so want to get on with ttc.

also we have been together nearly 11 yrs so waiting a couple more to get married won't hurt.

however each cycle it doesn't work I spend about an hour thinking 'should be planning a wedding!!'

you could do both but I would like
to drink and don't really want to be pregnant at my own wedding! so not planning anything til Im pregnant.
