Thanks for your optimism LisaC2611 - I tested last week, must have been about 12 days DPO, and test was definitely negative. I think I'd be too late for implantation bleed anyway. No symptoms that would even suggest pregnancy either. I'm guessing it's just a stress-related blip in my cycle - hope things get back to "normal" (whatever that is) this month!

LoveinNY · 25/07/2012 11:50

Thanks echo, everyone seems really nice here. Smile purple, I came off the pill in november after 11 years and my AF changed a bit from time to time. Don't stress that it's fertility issues. Our bodies can take months to recover from the hormones from the pill. I've not had a 'regular' AF since march now. The docs won't test you until you've been trying for a year, the advice I got from the nurse was to relax and enjoy trying. Hmm
Think I'll give up on the ov tests this month. Must have ovulated really early and missed it I think. Sad at least I can still drink wine. Wine Xx

purplefairies · 25/07/2012 12:03

Yes, LoveinNY, you are right. It's a bit unrealistic of me to expect things to be all regular and normal right away.

I actually live abroad and they would test you for ANYTHING at every opportunity here. This can be a good thing but I'm a bit of a baby when it comes to internal examinations (which they love doing over here!!!) and I also find that it really fuels my anxiety to be tested for everything under the sun, have to wait for the results, etc.

I'm going to try and relax and, like you, enjoy the Wine :) I have to say that when AF turned up on Saturday, part of me thought "yay, another month of guilt-free cocktails"!

DulcetMoans · 25/07/2012 12:29

Right, I am back at work now and it's a big come down! I want to be on holiday still! Thanks for all the congratulations. I feel really embarrassed about it all in real life. Not sure why!

Still, I have started the CB trial now and I am ready to get to work on cycle 3. DP is not going to know what hit him!

purplefairies · 25/07/2012 12:45

I hate coming back to work after a holiday, Dulcet...I start stressing about it the night before and imagining that all sorts of drastic changes will have taken place in my absence.

Good luck to everyone doing the CB trial!

Newbie2 · 25/07/2012 13:02

Afternoon :) Right, i'm a little happier then yesterday you will all be pleased to know! Managed to DtD last night even though DH was shattered from our previous stint last week. TMI warming...I was deffinately producing more cm which has given me some hope that I might OV this week! Tested OV this morning...no smiley face and no peak with CBFM (still on high). Im not giving up though :)

LisaC2611 · 25/07/2012 14:01

I felt like that dulcet when I got engaged, I only told a few people at work and let it filter round that way, and I was even worse after I got my ring (we got engaged in feb but never got a ring till the may). Not sure why I was like it either Blush

NicolaHazel · 25/07/2012 14:44

Ha ha, me too...weird, eh?!

My ring came later too :-) I've not really mentioned too much about the wedding apart from the women I work directly with, unless specifically asked either.

DulcetMoans · 25/07/2012 15:31

Oh good to know it's not just me then! People think i'm being weird but im not trying to be weird, just a bit private I suppose. I've done what you said though Lisa; told a couple of people and now letting it filter out.

Glad you're a bit happier newbie, DTD is the only way forward! haha.

Newbie2 · 25/07/2012 15:48

Oh Dulcet you wouldn't be very happy with me! I've been googling what my severe bloating symptoms are about and reading up on ovarion cancer I can feel your disapproving stare even while typing this Hmmm...me staying away from google didn't last very long!

OP posts:
purplefairies · 25/07/2012 15:54

Oh, Newbie, don't resort to Google!!! I had a few years of really bad health anxiety problems fuelled by Google and it really is the worst thing you could possibly do. My doctor told me that the only things you'll ever find on the Internet are horror stories.

I've had nightmare bloating since stopping the pill - apparently it's quite common, something to do with progesterone slowing down the digestive systems, or something like that. Mine is so bad that my nosey colleague (who is always making jokes about me "being the next one to get pregnant" at departmental meetings) is always staring at my stomach and wondering.....

Newbie2 · 25/07/2012 16:08

Purple I know I'm naughty for looking at Google! Really you feel bloated too? My bloating is really bad too. Somedays like today I get a rock hard stomach...ive never experienced anything like it. I thought it was gastrotisis or IBS but doctor has rules out both. I'm surprised that my doctor hasn't said it relates to the pill why am I surprised really

OP posts:
Newbie2 · 25/07/2012 16:09

My work colleague asked if I was pregnant today...that's whats brought this on Shock

OP posts:
Newbie2 · 25/07/2012 16:12

Which comes first? Does prostegen come after OV or is that estregen? Hmmm I might have to Google Grin

OP posts:
DulcetMoans · 25/07/2012 16:12

I do disapprove! If you put the right search criteria in you can get google to say what you like. I bet there are plenty of pages that say bloating is a pregnancy symptom but it doesn't make you pregnant!

Bad form on your colleague though newbie. I bet they felt embarrassed!

Newbie2 · 25/07/2012 16:15

I said 'Oh haven't you heard I'm off on maternity next week' They did go quiet for a second lol I'm not fat though so this is really embarrassing and I can see why they were suspicious because I have this watermelon belly

OP posts:
purplefairies · 25/07/2012 16:15

To be honest, I think my doctor uses the "you've just come off the pill" as an excuse to cover anything. I just think it's a bit too coincidential that the horrible bloating arrived within weeks of stopping the pill. I'm just trying to cut back on starchy white carbs and seeing if that will make any difference - I have days where I honestly look about 5 months pregnant, it's horrible. I think I did quite a bit of searching for similar posts on here at some point and someone said the bloating settled down after 3 months or so.

I see every workplace has someone who feels the need to ask inappropriate questions!!!! So insensitive!

Newbie2 · 25/07/2012 16:22

Oh Purple thank you thank you for saying you have the same thing! Plus you're on cycle 3 so similar stage to me even though I'm on stupid cycle 1 again because AF couldn't be bothered to show up It is awful walking around looking like you're 5mths pregnant when you want to be that person desperately! Sorry you're going through the same!

OP posts:
Newbie2 · 25/07/2012 16:25

I did read that bloating can come around ovulation time runs away from Dulcet before I get caught on google again

OP posts:
Newbie2 · 25/07/2012 16:28

Oh and also read on Google today that spotting can be a symptom of ovulation. Interesting thought Purple? now sprinting away from Dulcet

OP posts:
purplefairies · 25/07/2012 16:29

Glad it makes you feel a bit better - even if we both look like watermelons :) I wanted to invest in a pair of huge "suck everything in" pants, but I've been advised against it after my recent thrush saga.

Newbie2 · 25/07/2012 16:30

Oh no that would make it worse!

OP posts:
NicolaHazel · 25/07/2012 17:46

I have to admit to relying on Google that bit too much, it has to be said.

Apparently you can spot around ovulation time, due to the hormone flux.

I spotted last month, but think it was more related to coming off the pill, as I also spotted the week after. But who knows?!

If I hadn't had a BFN the other week, I would currently be linking my enhanced sense of smell to being up duffed. Probably IS hormonal, I suppose though.

woody17 · 25/07/2012 19:08

Dulcet congratulations on your engagement!

Newbie your colleague sounds awful!

Hope you've all been enjoying the sunshine!

Roxyjade · 25/07/2012 19:41

Not having a good evening tonight. A girl at work has just announced she's pregnant, "wasn't even planning it" she says. I houlders be bitter but when you have been trying a long time it sucks to hear news like that. Had a little cry in the bathroom away from hubby as I can't deal with him telling me "not to worry it will happen" I'm dreading my internal ultrsound on Saturday to. Been reading online, some people say it hurts, some say it don't. Have a well deserved glass of wine and waiting for eastenders. Hope every one is ok x
