BFP in 2012- a thread for winkling-advice and COD-avoidance!

So... here we are!
In a positive move to avoid monthly heartache this is the thread where we'll ttc in 2012.

"will there be winkling?" of course!
"will there be tinkling?" too right! you filthy buggers
"will there be time in the COD?" probably- but it'll only be short lived!
"will there be BFPs?" YES YES YES!

I, wishfulthinking, promise to ttc with all my might. I accept that ttc is a long, drawn out process and I shant allow myself to become too obsessed with the process in 2012. (if I remain in-duffed at new year, however, I reserve the right to be right royally pissed off with life and everyone in general!)

yeah she is announced a 'cotton woods' baby - whatever that is I am not listening to Radio 1 as they have been going on about it on newsbeat. Since when is a pregnancy considered part of news?!

I am still getting a -ve on OV sticks so hoping it picks up a surge or something over the weekend. I sometimes feel like these sticks are not on my side. Pregnancy tests - negative, OPKs - negative. Would it kill them to show a positive for once!!! not too much to ask!

Fearne bloody Cotton is pregnant!

I don't really know who Fearne Cotton is.

Not gone 10am and I have 5 voice messages! FIVE!!

I am starting to stress myself out - same as last month. Why am I not getting a positive OPK? Did another one just now and still -ve.

What about all the gunk of EWCM yest? Feeling so cross with my body. I want to be pregnant so bad.

CD13 today. And feel bad that the more I stress the less my body will want to pop the egg. So trying to calm down but just feel worried that again this month won't be our month. and then start stressing again.

How are you all in the 2ww doing? The worst thing is I can feel twinges in boobs and abdomen again. I don't want to feel anything.

red sorry you are so stressed, I feel the same desperate to be knocked up. Cd13 isn't very far along really, try not to worry I am sure the egg will pop soon.

After my chem preg ovulation was about 4 days late, it did arrive though and yours will too.

I am on 7 dpo and it is really dragging. Have had preg like symptoms since 3dpo (feeling shattered, hungrey, sore boobs and increased sense if smell). These symptoms seem to have disappeared today though. I probably just had a bug.

How long is your cycle? I got the positive on CD15...

Remember I said how EWCM isn't very reliable? It can occur three days before and three days after a positive OPK.

I think I am like...4DPO but not sure. Boob-soreage on the increase so am definitely on the other side of ovulation. Dreamt about my brothers baby last night. Lay in bed imagining the three month scan where they tell me I don't need to terminate because everything is ok and I can largely start to enjoy the pregnancy. sigh

Thanks whenshewas and kick - I'll try and be a bit more patient. I just feel like the sticks are not on my side. Dread peeing on anything these days ...well except in the toilet!

I did some research on MN and apparently with the amazon cheapies 2nd wee in the morning gives the best result - and if doing it in the evening no liquid consumption for 4 hours before. So will give that a try.

I love that dream of a 12w scan coming back healthy and then being able to enjoy the rest of the pregnancy sigh indeed I'd give anything to be pregnant.

Yeh remember to count backwards from expected AF day then to about day 14 as that's the standard luteal phase. So your more likely day is 14 days from the start of your next AF.

I said that yesterday as well - I've never received a positive on an FMU. Only midday or night time and the night time one was a trickle at best!

I really didn't expect my positive when I got it. Do it during the day. If you don't catch it this month (but I am sure you will), next month go for DTD EOD and get double the number of sticks. Test twice a day - every 12 hours. The reason could be that your LH surge may only be lasting 4 hours and you miss it then.

I never tested on FMU, tested in the evenings and today on 2nd wee of the morning. but still a negative.

So going to test twice a day for the next few days. the '14 days before AF' rule makes my OV date as CD18 so maybe it is later in my cycle.

As per SMEP for this month I am going to start DTD EOD.

Wow storm, that is impressive to have the awareness to do it at 3am. I would have been to the shops and back again by now though. Hope the docs have a test for you!

My +ve wasn't until cd16 if that helps red? cd13 is still quite early.

red The rule of thumb is 12 - 16 days before AF is arrives so you can work on that.

Had a quick look at pics of Fearne C going into work. She looks so happy, you have to be happy for her (but I don't see the relationship lasting). Baby is probably going to be a cutie.

(Hope no-one's said already but it's Cotton Woods cause Dad to be is Jesse, Ronnie Wood's son.)

8/9DPO here and not a whiff of anything approaching a symptom. Just gonna wait to see what happens (she says as her teeth grind together).

At least you re-read your post kick not posted and run. Didnt get time to check it or log back in last night. I would like to point out that my DD has been winkling, not doing the winkle!! You ladies have filthy minds. And boiling enm should have read boiling them. Stupid phone keeps making up stupid words in stupid places.

Weather is just lovely here and im stuck at work. Only one more day til the weekend tho. Beach with DD again on Staurday I think - No winkling this time, unless im doing it - but not on the beach ! Dont you just feel so much better when its sunny and warm.

red if you've got ewcm the +ive will be there in a day or two. You'll prob get a faint one then maybe take two tests a day for a day or so until you get your positive. If you get at it now there'l be some juicy little sperm ready to catch your egglet!

12 DPO here and awaiting AF, I think. Due on Sat, assuming I'm on 26 days again this cycle.

Why do the first 2 weeks rush past and the second crawl? :-/
