BFP in 2012- a thread for winkling-advice and COD-avoidance!

wishfulthinking1 · 15/07/2012 14:37

So... here we are!
In a positive move to avoid monthly heartache this is the thread where we'll ttc in 2012.

"will there be winkling?" of course!
"will there be tinkling?" too right! you filthy buggers
"will there be time in the COD?" probably- but it'll only be short lived!
"will there be BFPs?" YES YES YES!

A pledge! do you think I'm taking this too seriously?
I, wishfulthinking, promise to ttc with all my might. I accept that ttc is a long, drawn out process and I shant allow myself to become too obsessed with the process in 2012. (if I remain in-duffed at new year, however, I reserve the right to be right royally pissed off with life and everyone in general!)

Who's with me?

Wishfulthinkng1- ttc numero 1- expecting a sticky BFP on July 31st (and at 28 day intervals thereafter!) Days till wedding - 6!

Xxx

So did the digi this morning says 1-2 weeks, I'd have been amazed if it was not pregnant as had to go home in the end yesterday as I felt so so sick like the worst kind of sea sickness with a headache thrown in!!
Will be interested to see how it turns out and dates etc as last af was 21st June so 6 wks yet only just for bfp over a week late! Plus I know the whole you don't get symptoms until implantation but I swear I've had them for weeks. That's been the strangest thing. It's like I've never had them so strong instead of them in my pee it's like there flowing with avengence through me!! I know it sounds like BS but honistly can't explain what's going on and I've never had pg symptoms or pms symptoms before, last dtd almost 3 weeks ago!!
Fx for all you lovely ladies, thank you for listening to the rambelings of a mad women x

kittykatsforever · 31/07/2012 07:11

Well I may aswell scratch this as god gives with one hand he takes with another, just been to toilet and now bleeding, I'm just so sick and tired of this whole thing!!!!

redstrawberry · 31/07/2012 07:14

Oh no kitty it might be old blood.. Is it thick and heavy? Thinking of you SadSad

NicolaHazel · 31/07/2012 07:17

Fingers crossed it all works out, kitty.

Kittenkatzen · 31/07/2012 07:19

Fx for you kitty, is it old brown blood or bright red?

resipsa · 31/07/2012 07:44

Rant alert! So depressed but angry today. Yesterday was CD18 for me and, based on last 3 months cycles, the day most likely to OV. DH got home in foul mood but calmed down quite quickly and reassured me that I "would be getting it tonight" - TTC is so romantic - but by 10pm, he said he just wasn't up to it ("don't be angry with me") and went to sleep. After all these months, he still doesn't seem to get that we get ONE shot at this every month and that not being up to it isn't part of the way to maximise your chances. Now I feel this month is wasted which is irrational as we DTD on Sat and Sun.
Sorry all.
*Kitty

kittykatsforever · 31/07/2012 07:51

It's not loads quite thin if that makes sence more brown then red although I still think it looks a bit pinky, but really when is it ever a good sign!! Implantation happens earlier doesn't it
Resipia all is not wasted but I totally get where your comming from, dh idea at sympathy then was maybe we should give it break for a while now Sad

resipsa · 31/07/2012 07:52

Damn phone.
Kitty - how are you now?

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 31/07/2012 07:56

kitty read your first post and grinned from ear to ear - the. I read the second. I bled in my first preg (about 5 1/2 weeks in) it was old brown blood and dd is now 18 months old.

Still got my fx.

resipsa giving your dh a virtual slap. They just don't get it.

wishfulthinking1 · 31/07/2012 08:05

kitty- oh no, has the bleeding stopped? Fx for you, let's hope it's nothing.

respisa- of course its not all wasted, best to have DTd before ov anyway, so fx. If you've made your point about being pissed off with dh, then I suggest leaving it now. My dh was the same a couple of times, but the more I went on about it, the less he wanted to do it! Any chance you could snuggle up to him now...?

Thanks whenshewas I know everyone will try and be positive about it but it so rarely turns out to be ok does it! I've only had it last time which resulted in mc anyway.... I'm gutted just gutted
I just can't understand anything this month

kittykatsforever · 31/07/2012 08:07

It's not actually bleeding as such I just went to the toilet ( sorry tmi) and its in my pants a brown stain and was abit clear brown when I wiped but I guess it could get worse from this point?!

redstrawberry · 31/07/2012 08:34

kitty its never over till AF arrives. It could just be old blood. Are you feeling any cramps? I had a lot of AF cramps when I started bleeding. Praying she stays away for you. xx

Did a pee sample for the GP this morning, rang them yesterday, they said pee in a pot and they will send it to the labs. They will confirm if still pregnant or not by Thursday. I couldn't bear to POAS myself to find out. I just want some medics to tell me for my own sanity.

redstrawberry · 31/07/2012 08:43

PS: I understand how you feel about something being different in your body and the pregnancy hormones coursing through. I had the same sickness and headache for 2 days, i had to eat small portions as I felt very retchy and a pounding headache. I hope you have a sticky one kitty. thinking of you xx

resipsa · 31/07/2012 08:47

oh kitty it's the worst kind of limbo when you're worried every time you go to the loo. I know you're not feeling positive (and I've been there so know why Sad but there are lots of women out there who've had successful pregnancies with some bleeding at the start (one is sitting across from me as I type!). Have to say too that yours doesn't really sound like bleeding as much as spotting...please keep posting if only to let out the frustration.

winkle2 · 31/07/2012 08:47

Keeping my fingers crossed for you kitty.

Kitten do sorry that AF got you

X

woody17 · 31/07/2012 09:29

kitty I really hope that everything is ok.

kittykatsforever · 31/07/2012 09:52

Thanks but there has been more and there's definatly red in there too now, I have got some cramps too so I'm pretty much expecting a full on af by the end of today Sad what do I have to do to know its definatly over? Wait a few days then do another test?

redstrawberry · 31/07/2012 10:02

oh no kitty :( so so sorry mate. I really hope its just old blood.

Afraid the test might still show a faint positive if HcG is in your system. Theres no sure way of knowing. I had a few signs - my pregnancy symptoms reduced, sore boobs were gone, retchyness disappeared. And my test was even fainter.

TBH even after AF has arrived and finished I am still not wiser as to whether that was AF (2 days!) or old blood.

I can't wait for this month to be over. really want to come over and give you a big hug

KickTheGuru · 31/07/2012 10:18

red Have you POAS today? I wouldnt' be able to wait until Thursday - and if they took a urine test, it won't be much more sensitive than the home tests we do. Also, what annoys me is that it's MEDICALLY known that the HCG will get out of the blood first and then the urine second. They've pointedly taken the one sample that potentially will show an MC for a longer period of time.

OR it will show a positive (obviously) but I don't know why they didn't take a blood test?!

kitty Is your test (a non-squinting, clear coloured line) getting fainter or darker? I am sorry mate

Sorry to everyone having a rough month :(

kittykatsforever · 31/07/2012 10:20

Thanks red, yes wish we could both curl up under a blanket together in an in lesbian way!
I'm not hopefully at all just gutted I got the bfp first as it makes it more confusing! So sick of all the stats too that if you have a mc then get pg again within 6 months your less likely to have another etc, can't believe af has held off this long only to get me as soon as I get a bfp

KickTheGuru · 31/07/2012 10:20

My DH pissed me off last night making a chocolate milkshake and there was effing bits of chocolate on the walls and shelves.

I was well grumpy and at 10pm, he gets up all ready to go to bed.

Then he pulls this sad face and said he's sorry but we have to DTD tonight because we only DTD yesterday morning and "it's for the baby"

He loves all the shagging he gets! Grin

kittykatsforever · 31/07/2012 10:21

It was a digital kick 1-2 weeks

KickTheGuru · 31/07/2012 10:23

Wow that's weird. I feel like staying away from the digi's now and my DH said we should ONLY use them because they are inequivalent.

That said, I now look at the tests and glance at them and throw them away. I don't stare at them, I don't squint. If the line isn't immediately clear to me, then I bin it.

After my chemical pregnancy, I don't do any more squinting or staring. It needs to punch me in the face with its apparentness.

KickTheGuru · 31/07/2012 10:24

Inequivalent?? WTF?

Unequivocal
