BFP in 2012- a thread for winkling-advice and COD-avoidance!

wishfulthinking1 · 15/07/2012 14:37

So... here we are!
In a positive move to avoid monthly heartache this is the thread where we'll ttc in 2012.

"will there be winkling?" of course!
"will there be tinkling?" too right! you filthy buggers
"will there be time in the COD?" probably- but it'll only be short lived!
"will there be BFPs?" YES YES YES!

A pledge! do you think I'm taking this too seriously?
I, wishfulthinking, promise to ttc with all my might. I accept that ttc is a long, drawn out process and I shant allow myself to become too obsessed with the process in 2012. (if I remain in-duffed at new year, however, I reserve the right to be right royally pissed off with life and everyone in general!)

Who's with me?

Wishfulthinkng1- ttc numero 1- expecting a sticky BFP on July 31st (and at 28 day intervals thereafter!) Days till wedding - 6!

Xxx

Kick I totally agree with you about hoping

KickTheGuru · 30/07/2012 16:26

It sucks.

On that note, I feel like I am ovulating but it's only CD11?!!

Kittenkatzen · 30/07/2012 18:36

Sad red I hope the chocolates have helped cheer you up a bit. This TTC business really does suck at times.

kick maybe you're gearing up for a nice short cycle this time round then?

Bastarding AF turned up bang on time this afternoon Angry. Bah. Oh well, there's pâté and wine in the fridge so I think I shall neck the lot tonight just because I can.

Onwards with cycle 4 then.

woody17 · 30/07/2012 18:39

Sorry that af has arrived kitten

kick i have no idea! I always thought getting pg was easy and our bodies would be easy to read...

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 30/07/2012 18:44

kitten sorry about af

KickTheGuru · 30/07/2012 18:56

Yeh I definitely thought falling pregnant was going to be bit easier!

It's been a lot of years since I had a shorter cycle than 28 days!

redstrawberry · 30/07/2012 19:08

Sorry abt AF kitten Sad you go for that wine and pâté girl!!

redstrawberry · 30/07/2012 19:10

Kick I OV around cd 8-10 I think so 11 is not too early. It might give you a longer lp which is a good thing Hmm I think

Kittenkatzen · 30/07/2012 19:11

Thanks lovely people, wasn't a massive surprise to be fair, have been a mardy cow for a few days!

frustratedpants · 30/07/2012 19:25

Sad kitten
We can neck our Wine and enjoy our bree and pâté in our virtual room together

KickTheGuru · 30/07/2012 19:26

Yeh - goes with my "70% of women ovulate before day 10 and after day 17" theory Grin

KickTheGuru · 30/07/2012 19:32

OH a lighter note - I lost a bunch of "weight" before my diagnosis and I was so happy because my wedding rings were fitting SO much better.

Then obviously diagnosis and 10L of liquid pumped into me and came out looking like the pilsbury doughboy with all fat fingers and body because of the fluid they'd given me.

I was soooo lucky I had taken them off because I couldn't wear them for the first 3 weeks and my DH said they would have had to cut them off if I had been wearing them!

Nearly 7 weeks later and my wedding rings seem to FINALLY be settling again. YAY

frustratedpants · 30/07/2012 19:33

Darn it kick I'm in your 30% again. Wink

KickTheGuru · 30/07/2012 19:34

You're the exception, not the rule Grin

KickTheGuru · 30/07/2012 19:36

Actually, that wasn't my theory. It's based on medical research that they did with a bunch of women. 68% fell pregnant in 6months and they wanted to see if women carry babies to term on different luteal phase lengths and different ovulation terms (if there was a link between mc and ovulatory phases)... :)

Hmmm...that study looks like the Clear Blue one a few of us are doing.

KickTheGuru · 30/07/2012 20:02

Except older? Grin

And I don't think it was done by a particular brand. I think the CB one is probably some way that they can try and sell more products. It's never going to be completely impartial as a brand

frustratedpants · 30/07/2012 20:11

Always the bridesmaid exception, never the bride rule.

KickTheGuru · 30/07/2012 20:13

If there is a rule that needs an exception, it's definitely me. If anything should go in a certain way, my body will go the opposite.

Mersea · 30/07/2012 20:24

Hi swimming I have been on clomid for 3 months now and was referred to the consultant at the hospital by my gp but I think your gp can prescribe it too. I am also having scans and HCG injections but so far it looks like I am just producing cysts.

Kittenkatzen · 30/07/2012 21:40

frustrated I've had my pate, didn't really fancy the wine in the end but have now for the BIGGEST most obscene bowl of ice cream & golden syrup known to man. My teeth will fall out but I'll be a happy kitten Smile

frustratedpants · 30/07/2012 21:45

Strangely enough I don't actually fancy any comfort food. Confused I'm usually stuffing my pms gob with sweet stuff by now but could only manage bread earlier. maybe my stomach hasn't realised that the witch is early.
Note to self - must eat properly.

swimmingnotdrowning · 30/07/2012 22:46

Thanks mersea - thinking of speaking to doc about at least getting the initial bloods done to head in that direction. I hope they find the magic dose for you - two of my friends have had healthy babies on it once they got the dose right so fx for you.

Hope limbo land is less cluttered soon - it's the waiting and wondering that's awful - thinking of you ladies x

KickTheGuru · 30/07/2012 22:56

Swimming - remember to say you have been ttc for well over a year!!
