BFP in 2012- a thread for winkling-advice and COD-avoidance!

So... here we are!
In a positive move to avoid monthly heartache this is the thread where we'll ttc in 2012.

"will there be winkling?" of course!
"will there be tinkling?" too right! you filthy buggers
"will there be time in the COD?" probably- but it'll only be short lived!
"will there be BFPs?" YES YES YES!

A pledge! do you think I'm taking this too seriously?
I, wishfulthinking, promise to ttc with all my might. I accept that ttc is a long, drawn out process and I shant allow myself to become too obsessed with the process in 2012. (if I remain in-duffed at new year, however, I reserve the right to be right royally pissed off with life and everyone in general!)

Oooooh frustrated when are you due to test? Sounds exciting!

I think I'm the only person in the world completely underwhelmed by the opening ceremony- thought it was all boring apart from mr bean, obv! I'm sure if you were there then the atmosphere would have been amazing though.

So, AF due tomorrow- getting a couple of cramps that feel very af-like - what a bitch! I last month, on wtf cycle, I spotted the day before af came. I don't normally spot, but am now officially on knicker watch. PLEASE STAY AWAY PLEASE STAY AWAY PLEASE STAY AWAY!!!!!!!

Wishful- cant believe it's that time allready!! Where did it go
Don't be surprised if your cycle is weird this month, don't know why but I'm now on cd38!!! Asked on a few threads and alot of girls have said the first came on time and second was late, not saying yours will but just if it is and starts to drive you crazy, most were say 34 when usually 29 , will you test or wait it out?

kitty you are right time has flown I didn't think wishful was due to test for another few weeks. Best of luck, initial preg symptoms can feel like the start of af so just keep your fingers crossed.

Am on cd14 here and really need to get on with dtd tonight. I just epilated my legs and it looks like I have measles from the waist down. Hope it fades by tonight or no rumpy pumpy for me.

We have two testers on here soon then? How exciting!!

If they needed you to fast I am sure they would just tell you to come back one morning next week newbie. Ours just sends us to the hospital drop in if we need to fast.

We watched the ceremony at the cinema, was quite good I thought! Good atmosphere at least but preferred it if Trevor nelson didn't speak!!

kitty - am glad you pointed that out, at least if I'm late this month then it might still be related to mc.

If I had any IC then I would definitely be testing, but as I only have a stash of cb digital I'm going to wait. Af due tomorrow, we've got a party to go to tomorrow evening and we're stopping over at a friends, so won't be able to test Monday morning. If af doesn't arrive, then I'm going to try try try to wait until fmu on Tuesday, when she'll be over a day late- that would defo show up on cb digital, right? I've been following red strawberry on the July thread and I'd rather wait and have an turn up a day or two late, than have a +tve test and go through all the anguish she is going through

. Was going to try to wait until thursday, dh's birthday, but in reality, that's never going to happen!! Have had quite a few af like twinges today - bless you whenshewas for your optimism, but i don't think it's my turn this month. Just a feeling. I think I'm going to get myself some Internet Cheapies for next month- at least then I could test without my tight-was conscience screaming and begging me not to!!

I just scrolled back to find out recent list- don't think we've updated it for ages. I've taken people off who I know had BFN this month, was going to add them onto the bottom, as I'm keeping fx for them next month, but I didn't want to be insensitive so have just left them off. There are a stack of people not on here- can we get it updated? I do so like to know who's testing and when! It gives me something to think about instead of obsessing over my stomach cramps and what they all could mean!!!

frustratd - when are you testing? It's soon, isn't it?

newbie2 I'm due to test 31st or 1st, AF due on one of those days Only have 1 internet cheapie left, obvious bfn shame for testing too early and skint until payday on 31st. So if I don't use waste my last cheapie I may realistically test on 31st.

Fatasbutter due sticky BFP 25th August

Although we have just spent all morning deciding whether to get our completely buggered boiler fixed or replaced and had a row, AND have only half washed shampoo out of hair as 1cm deep bath with several kettles of water in wasn't deep enough to do the job! Feeling greasy haired and grumpy!! Thank goodness we have a few days to recover before we have to get in the mood!!!

Oooooh TMI warning but epo increasea my cm chronically. I am going to take half of what ladies suggest.

I also had a 5 day af this month. Yay!!

Turned out I had a chemical pregnancy, I'm in the COD for now, waiting for painful AF to finish. But I might stick around here :( for a little longer.

Oh no red, that's shitty news. Look after yourself in COD, it can be a cruel time. :( I've just been catching up on news and was all excited for you. Bummer.
I've been keeping a low profile recently, a new tactic after all the tears last month. On Cd18 now, ov on cd22, test on 14/8. Ages away!

Should just start a Scorpio (and others!) TTC thread!! Will be the same as this one but with no time pressure!!

Yeh I am trying to be calm. Sorry but even after what's happened to red this month, I am worried about that happening again and I really don't think I could stand that after everything else.

So not going for dates or when I am going to POAS. Just going to plod on and see what happens :)

I'm going for the more calm approach this month...not used OPKs or anything like that. I feel a bit better for it.

But...two week wait starts tomorrow (based on last month's 26 day cycle) so let's see how calm I stay!

I did that in June and apart from the whole diabetes thing, it actually went REALLY well. Especially since I was so thirsty and peeing and sore boobs and I had so many random and weird symptoms from the diabetes but I still didn't stress about pregnancy.

I think DTD so much means that I relaxed because I knew we couldn't have done more. I think that's when I was the most calm.

To be honest, we've DTD around / on the right time the last two months, so I've already decided it's about odds and a numbers game, and as the odds are against it happening, it will happen when it happens. See how long I remain philosophical!
