LittleMissSnowShine · 04/09/2012 17:34

September snag fest ahoy! (for the non-knocked up ladies)

I had one stupid hpt left and because I'm at home alone with DS today (sometimes it is very good to be in work and out of temptation's way!) and because AF that I assumed arrived last night seemed to disappear today I succumbed and poas. Very very very very faint second line. This is 3rd test I've taken and all others have been definitively BFNs so at least I know it can't be any residual hormones from last time round because other tests (same brand) didn't have even the hint of second line. getting prematurely excited

At the same time, I'm not an idiot - the 2nd line is super duper faint, i was bleeding a bit last night and i don't remember sore back being a symptom of being pg last 2 times. And my boobs are not at all sore. So it's just as likely to have been a faulty test or even a chemical pg.

But I have been in a progesterone stoned out daze this week for sure, feeling very very tired and I was running to the loo loads yesterday.

Unfortunately I know that the progesterone on its own can cause all of that and OV releases progesterone which continues to rise if you conceive and implant etc or dwindles away if you don't. So progesterone on its own could be making me feel like this without necessarily meaning I'm pg.

God I am just on a mememememememe trip today. Sorry! Almost can't wait to go back to work and zumba tomorrow! It's just with wilde's exciting news you can't help hoping it's contagious lol Am I right????

wilderumpus · 04/09/2012 17:47

thanks peeps :) one i am really symptomy every month because, as littlemiss says, progesterone does all sorts and so I thought watery mouth was just a new part of my enormous list of post-ov symptoms! but actually it seems it is a pretty reliable pg symptom :) it started a week last friday, the day I would have got my positive opk, so guess I got pg then.

ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh little. Get a good test and try again tomorrow with FMU? fingers crossed :) You must have ov'ed late so maybe it is implantation bleed and super early days? Could you have caught the egg a couple of weeks ago? best leave Zumba until you know do you think?

ChuckleMonster · 04/09/2012 18:33

Wow, two in one day!! Sounds like congrats little!!!! How exciting. Make sure you keep us posted with ever darkening lines!!

cheeseandmushroomtoastie · 04/09/2012 20:11

little that's brilliant! Have you tested again?

Feeling so happy reading this thread Grin

LittleMissSnowShine · 04/09/2012 20:31

wilde - watery mouth sounds like some kind of condition livestock might get Grin but that's amazing, what a unique indictator that you're pg!

Went to shop with DH and DS an hour ago. Did not buy a test, decided to just be chill and wait and see what happens. Came back here, put DS to bed, jumped on mumsnet for a nosy. Saw all your posts. DH has been dispatched back to shop (luckily we like 10 mins walk / 2 mins drive from a big supermarket!) to procure a First Response test.

Part of me doesn't want to do it in case the test today was just a fluke and tomorrow's is a BFN :( I also hate wasting money on those flipping things and I had already mentally ruled this month out since I'm still in the wtf cycle. But I think I do need to test again tomorrow and find out for def one way or another - if there's another line, even a faint one, then it's no zumba, feet up, no more wine! If there's no line then it's wine o'clock til AF FINALLY arrives. Back is still aching so either this a new and different early pg symptom or the witch is on her wicked way...

I have to be up at 6:45 tomorrow (half 8 starts in work are a killer) so I'll keep you posted. Early. eek!!

LittleMissSnowShine · 04/09/2012 20:41

PS) having consulted fertility friend, apparently we DTD on 26th Aug and twice on 1st Sep. 1st Sep would obviously be way too soon for any kind of line to appear on a hpt, but if we dtd on 26th Aug and I didn't actually ovulate until apprx 27/28th Aug (which would have been CD28/CD29??) then I'd be 7 ort 8 DPO now. Freaking out a bit lol Can't wait til morning so I can either start picking out names and designing nurseries or calm down again til next month!

Haylebop12 · 04/09/2012 21:03

Oh guys all your good news is bringing me hope that I WILL be pg this cycle :-)
little I really hope you get your BFP tomoz! Have everything crossed for you! (except my legs of course, couldn't make a baby any other way would I!)

booboomonster · 04/09/2012 22:09

Just a quickie to say CONGRATS wilde! Fantastic news!!! Grin
Also - Snow I think a line is a line, so congrats is in order to you too! Wowsers... I hope you are bringing luck to the rest of us non preggos in the thread. I am coming up to the end of my 2ww (am waiting til saturday) I daren't even hope...

booboomonster · 04/09/2012 22:09

that was meant to read CONGRATS wilde! and also - thanks for missing me Smile x

Haylebop12 · 05/09/2012 08:47

Have you tested little

onemoreforgoodmeasure · 05/09/2012 09:59

Little just checking in quickly, am sitting between wanting to congratulate you and wanting to wait until you are ready to hear that!

And re-read yeaterday's posts, hee hee, yes, Guru would definitely have corrected that little misunderstanding of yours Wild about your "waters"!

LittleMissSnowShine · 05/09/2012 10:28

Alas, BFN on First Response test tho AF still not here lol yep this is a def wtf cycle! Bit disappointed but also weirdly a bit kind of relieved in a way too - i get terrible HG when i'm pg and i was suffering badly in june/july and then recovering from mc, moving house and having massive financial stress in aug so in a way it might be nice to have a break from all that this month. Tho will - obv - have fx for a proper, genuine BFP in October. And in the meantime... Wine Wine Wine (and goats cheese, hot baths and lots of coffee ha ha)

wilderumpus · 05/09/2012 10:38

hugs little and Wine :) Sorry this doesn't seem to be your month but next month IS! June baby remember!

Bizarrely having excess saliva is not uncommon in early pg. Is linked to ms. Is weird but not quibbling! Did another test this morning and was a bit darker than yesterday - that it was there at all is a huge reassurance over last month. is very visible which is so unusual at 11dpo. Maybe I am further along than I think but it only just showed up yesterday?

good luck for your 2ww boo! what dpo are you? exciting!

onemoreforgoodmeasure · 05/09/2012 10:45

I was joking when I used the word "misunderstanding"! Just saying that to be on the safe side, I always worry about how I come across in these kinds of contexts! Fantastic news about your stronger bfp Wild, that must have indeed been reassuring. Biscuit

Sorry Little, here WineBrewBiscuitTorch (I cannot get enoug of using the torch!

Uff. I'm exhausted after two very good nights' sleep. Perhaps I've overdosed on evening primrose?!!?

wilderumpus · 05/09/2012 10:50

sorry my post sounded Very Serious one when really I was just chattily saying about it! hehe! I did know what you were saying/not saying :)

where's this torch then? Want to use one.

OP posts:
onemoreforgoodmeasure · 05/09/2012 17:28

Oh good, thanks Wild, I get anxious from time to time about misunderstandings with the written word! (the torch is at the bottom of the smiley's list)

I just went shopping. I am supposed to be on maternity leave now. Hard to imagine. So I did what any idiot would do and went shopping. Shoes, yup, that makes me feel loads better.

onemoreforgoodmeasure · 05/09/2012 17:37

Feel guilty now for being gloomy, my shoes are really very nice!

Lolcbcblemonlime · 05/09/2012 18:08

We all understand feeling gloomy. Don't apologise.
I have a question. Are cycles longer after mc? This is my second one. On my last one it ended on cd37 and I am usually 31. What should I expect this month?
No cm or sign of ov. Opk also neg.
Starting to get annoyed.

wilderumpus · 05/09/2012 18:54

shoes! yay one. You are perfectly welcome to be gloomy on this here thread, that is why we have it!

arf lol. I don't mean to be annoying but who knows.... ! Mine were the same or shorter after my mmc but this cycle just gone after the CP would have been 41 days! (am normally 29-32). that's why I had to keep shagging for soooooo long. Was proper worn out by the time the EWCM that finally turned up on cd26 or so went away. but the perserverence paid off?!?! is so frustrating though, you have my complete and total empathy.

OP posts:
ChuckleMonster · 05/09/2012 19:17

Sorry to hear about the bfn little

wilde I was a bit 'slobbery' for a few weeks early on and it made me think of you!! Has nobody else had knee ache??!

Hi boo nice to have you back!!

First day back at work today after the hols, am in bed now and dd is still up playing Blush its going to be a long half term!!

LittleMissSnowShine · 05/09/2012 20:30

One - shoes! Good plan :)

Chuckle - i think i mwntioned before i work with wayward teens lol and they all started back today..also wrecked. Did a big walk in forest with dh&ds after work but now its wine&tv with sil instead of zumba zzzz

Lol / wilde - glad its not just me with the crazy post mc cycles. All we can do is shag on thru (and get pg like u did wilde!)

Lolcbcblemonlime · 05/09/2012 22:41

Well have something which resembles cm now so will shag first thing tomorrow. Then will see what else happens.
I go on hol wed with a friend so if I don't ov till then I'm buggered.
Don't think I'll manage to DTD enough this month to get pg Sad

LittleMissSnowShine · 06/09/2012 07:31

Feel crampy and urgh, think AF is def en route and after 37 days maybe i can finally call this cd1. Rubbish timing, going on a pretty active & outdoorsy day today...wahh i want my duvet lol oh well its like boot camp for upcoming shagathon!!
