cheeseandmushroomtoastie · 27/08/2012 08:40

Lolcbcblemonlime · 27/08/2012 09:44

Morning ladies
Have been lurking reading this lovely thread and thought I'd join you if I can?
Had mc 6 weeks ago. First ever pg. Was not actively trying but since it happened I've become obsessed very keen on having a baby.
Af came last week 3 days late so at least in out of wtf cycle!
Have u changed anything in your lifestyle after mc? I'm taking epo and pregnacare conception and have also considered baby aspirin- do any of you take it?
F x this is a lucky thread Smile

wilderumpus · 27/08/2012 09:57

welcome lol! so sorry about your mc :( Hope you are ok and yay for getting back on that horse Grin

YAY cheese! congrats lady. Swoop into the marvellous thread, get preggo and swoop out :) Not at ALL envious! Good luck, good luck sure is normal to have no symptoms atm. If it helps any with my happy pg I had barely any symptoms but with my mc pg I had symptoms up the yinyang. Meaningless.

good luck hayle! what is with the patience re: poas on this thread?!

any sign of AF one?

Yes I was shagging waaaaay back. :( This cycle started BEFORE the olympics! I can't believe it. It will be 41 days long. Am 3dpo today and because I keep thinking am 8dpo (as I thought from the pos opk) I keep symptom spotting. Am v twingy and feel a bit off so have decided, of course, I am definitely pg and then remember EVERY month at 3dpo I think this! hehe. silly moi.

LittleMissSnowShine · 27/08/2012 10:37

Fx Hayle!!

wilde - wow, before the olympics, that does seem ages ago!! my cycles can sometimes be very long too, so you have all my sympathy, really hope all the dtd adds up to a bfp for you this week

welcome lol - are you also on the september thread? think i recognise your nickname! sorry about your mc :( best of luck with ttc

It's DS's 2nd b'day on Thurs so I think I'm going to put ttc out of my head for a few days and make this week allllll about him (which it usually is lol) and then poas on friday if AF hasn't shown. i'll be cd32 by then so have to wait and see....

onemoreforgoodmeasure · 27/08/2012 12:03

Yay Cheese for selfish reasons may I ask what cd and dpo you were when you got your positive?

I've also been cleaning (and internetting). OH is doing diy and I don't feel like doing anything.

Fx Hayle! You'll test in the morning?

Welcome Lol your name makes me think of nursery rhymes! I don't recall us having a chat about baby aspirin on here. I've taken it for the first time, 3 doses over the last 4 days, just because it bugs me that I don't know without the test whether it would help or hinder. Several weeks/months back I went to gp unarmed with the name for that condition (which I also cannot now recall) to ask about my blood because I'd recalled a gp telling me 3 or 4 years ago that I had very thick blood. The gp looked at the results from my blood tests from my mw appt weeks before and said they did not show any abnormalitites. I felt like an idiot, I hate going to the gp and when I told him that another gp made that comment he just raised an eybrow. From what I've read it shouldn't be taken without testing for the condition because it can be harmful. I'd be curious to know what others on here think.

Wild I'm sorry for your long cycle this month. And I'm in the opposite camp, I'm trying like hell to ss and cannot find a single thing. I struggled up a hill yesterday but really, I'm just very unfit! I'm tired, but could be pms and still recouperating from awful week last week. Anyway, I'm cd26/12dpo with daily bfn's. The hormonal upset of last week seems to have gone and I'm not getting the pms spot, but that could be just because I've had a couple of very restful days. Statistically my period has equal chance of coming on cd 25/26 & 27, so not long now.

Fx for Friday Littlemiss

cheeseandmushroomtoastie · 27/08/2012 12:16

one I tested on cd28 the first time, than again on Saturday which would be cd35.i ov on day 13 of my cycle, so that makes it 15 dpo I think? Is that what you meant? Cycle is all over the place, but prior to mc the last three cycles were 26 days long.

cheeseandmushroomtoastie · 27/08/2012 12:19

Someone earlier asked what they had done differently when ttc, I have noticed every time I stop cut down on the alcohol, I get a BFP. That might not be what you want to hear though Grin

onemoreforgoodmeasure · 27/08/2012 12:24

Thanks Cheese that is what I wanted to know. So dpo 15, was it faint or strong?

I've just been googling symptoms for oncoming AF's, funny I've never looked in to that much. It said dairy and banana's can help with pms so am heading to the kitchen!

onemoreforgoodmeasure · 27/08/2012 12:25

And that's good to know. I have to say my alcohol use has gone right down since quitting smoking. Two good moves thanks to the cervix scare!

LittleMissSnowShine · 27/08/2012 12:29

cheese - eep, if u need to cut down on alcohol to get pg then i'm def out this month lol for me, tho, it's shagging more, exercise and healthy eating to keep weight down. that's prob a pcos thing, i tent to put weight on v easily, but as long as i'm no more than a size 12 then my cycles are more regular, i have fewer symptoms and apparently i also OV and can get pg. Sure cutting out the booze would def help!

Also, cheese, a bfp at 15 dpo is pretty definitive!!

I'm around 8 or 9 dpo - assuming i did OV this month. I think I might have because I saw some ewcm but it didn't get as watery as it did in May when I actually got pg, so it's hard to be sure. No symptoms really but needing to pee today. A lot. And i'm v tired - tho could still be post-wedding after effects really. Roll on Fri so I can just poas!!

Lolcbcblemonlime · 27/08/2012 12:39

Thanks for the welcome ladies
Cheese I also try to drink a bit less but its quite challenging when feeling sorry for myself! Blush
Yeah I am on sep thread maybe spend too much time here, have to say this has been great support for me since mc.
I would love to know what u all think about baby aspirin. I'm intrigued. Btw it was on another thread someone talked about this!

LittleMissSnowShine · 27/08/2012 12:41

I haven't been taking it - already got pre natal vitamins / essential fatty acid supplements rattling round there and sometimes i take agnus castus drops to encourage OV, which is another pcos thing. Idea of adding anything else to the mix fries my brain!

cheeseandmushroomtoastie · 27/08/2012 12:55

one first test I used was an Internet cheapie but there was a feint positive. Def two lines. Used the clear blue the following week and that said 2-3 weeks.

onemoreforgoodmeasure · 27/08/2012 13:29

Good to know Cheese, thanks. My internet cheapies are supposed to be the strong ones that pick up a + a week before AF is due, so am not that hopeful, but can't help wondering. When I got pg before I had two faint +'s between cd 28 and 31. I don't recall what tests I used at the time, something from Boots. I then waited and got a strong bfp on cd 34. Oh well. I only had 2 tests left so am now out. Might as well find out the old fashioned way now!

LittleMissSnowShine · 27/08/2012 16:10

one - I love the Countdown to Pregnancy website for this kind of thing - it takes more than 1500 women who ended up being pregnant and sees how many got BFNs when they should have had BFPs etc on what DPO. It's a bit geeky but helps obsess pass the time Wink Hope your BFNs are falsies one x

onemoreforgoodmeasure · 27/08/2012 17:15

Ooh, yes, I found that website last montha nd then lost it, thanks! tmi alert - lots of cm. I usually get that before my period.

But in other news I have a lovely newly painted kitchen!

ChuckleMonster · 27/08/2012 17:19

one, I use the very sensitive internet cheapies and didn't get bfp until the day before af due (cd 29 I think, maybe 28 and I think 13 or 14 dpo) and I had been testing two or three times every day. People kept telling me 'its not over till af shows' and they were right!

We have been to cinema and out for lunch today like proper grown Ups. Am exhausted now though and am in bed before DD despite her having been worn out with the eccitment of a day with grandparents!!

Hello to the new faces, sorry you have cause to be here but you have found a lovely safe haven from the outside world (and face book!!)

I know nothing at all about baby asprin, the only thing I have taken other than pregnacare is grapefruit juice who h I drank every day the cycle I got pregnant. Don't know if it contributed to the pregnancy but it definitely increased the amount of ewcm I had.

Hope everyone enjoyed their BH weekend.

onemoreforgoodmeasure · 27/08/2012 17:36

Sorry for the poor post and rushed sign off. I was just invited to look at the wonderful paint job. Finally will get to hang the kitchen clock and feel settled since the room was done last October!!! My happiness over this surely stands me out as an adult!

If I don't get AF tomorrow then only two cycles out of the last 18 will have been as long, and I will start to hope, which means I will fall harder. I'm a little anxious that I'm about to feel down, isn't that ridiculous?

onemoreforgoodmeasure · 27/08/2012 17:37

I Took so long over my post I missed yours Chuckle, thanks for the reassurance! And your day sounds lovely!

cheeseandmushroomtoastie · 27/08/2012 17:54

Fingers crossed for you one
